Background[edit]

So, basically, there was a small, very much not value, enlo running around. He did his best to stay alive, and managed to eat some stuff without being eaten back. This was considered a rousing victory by the enlo, who named himself Niffle. Given the way troll society works, his winning streak was doomed to failure, and he was eventually caught and pressganged into trollball service, as the third replacement. He was tossed onto the field fairly early in the game, managed to make it through two goals and then got caught by a glancing kick that sent him hurtling through the air like a doomed sparrow. He hit the peak of his arc and just... kept... going. He was ruled out of bounds and replaced by the refs, but he doesn't know that (and lives in irrational fear that the team will catch up to him). His flight landed him near a waterway and he's been hiding in the fen ever since. He's made friends with a giant dragonfly larva and has built himself some very primitive kit to keep himself alive and fed. He dreams of someday going to the moon, which he thinks looks very tasty.
