- Part of one's training as a short-order cook is that you have to eat any meal you ruin. Giovanni used to say that after that, he could eat anything. With this gift, he really can, provided he can actually fit it in his mouth.
Handicaps[edit]
Coffee Bond: for a blue-collar worker, coffee is as beloved as ambrosia. Since becoming a Noble, Giovanni's admiration for the black brew has gained the potential to cause him no end of trouble. He is unable to refuse any coffee offered him, and is bound to befriend anybody who he drinks it with. This grants him 1 MP if bound to a nice power, 2 MPs if bound to an enemy Power, and 3 MPs if bound to an Excrucian.
Gourmand: Since his Commencement, Giovanni has been strangely and strongly compelled to eat the strangest of things. This grants one MP when it causes serious problems or social hindrances.

A sprig of Saltbush, representing the Estate of Salt, sits on a set of scales opposite a Venus Fly Trap, representing Giovanni. Which way the scales tilt can vary, depending on how the viewer sees Giovanni and how Giovanni currently sees himself.
Background[edit]
Giovanni, fourth-generation Italian living in London, was a short-order cook, and a good one. He was no great chef, Italian or not, but one didn't attend a diner as cheap as Mickey's expecting gourmet food. All the same, Giovanni made sure that his customers got more than they were expecting, and the regulars loved him for it.
