Sslth'hool the Brainer

Look: Ambiguous gender, high formal robes, bony face, pale eyes, awkward angular body

Cool+1 Hard-2 Hot-1 Sharp+2 Weird+2

Moves: Direct-brain whisper projection: You can roll+weird to get the effects of going aggro, without going aggro. Your victim has to be able to see you, but you don’t have to interact. If your victim forces your hand, your mind counts as a weapon (1-harm ap close loud-optional).

Casual brain receptivity: when you read someone, roll+weird instead of roll+sharp. Your victim has to be able to see you, but you don’t have to interact.

Gear: (I've substituted the magical tag for the hi-tech tag for flavor reasons, but it should work in the same fashion.) -Wand of Magical Force (2-harm close magical) -Mind Blast (1-harm ap area loud reload magical) Goes off like a reusable grenade. Hits everyone but you. -Walking Eye (area close magical) For purposes of brainer moves, if someone can see your walking eye, they can see you.

Fluff Stuff: Sslth'hool was a tyrant of the depths, and one of the Lich King's most dangerous foes, back before the Lich King was known as the Lich King. In those days the man who would be King was a simple mortal, one who opposed the powerful Illithid and its reign of terror and mental enslavement. Legend has it that the two clashed many times, with neither party gaining much of an edge, until the Lich King undertook the dark ritual that tore his mortality from the clutches of time. The next time the two fought, the Lich King easily overpowered the alien creature and forced it into servitude, a reversal of fortune even the Mind Flayer's considerable intellect had not anticipated.

Cursed to obey the Lich King's commands, Sslth'hool took on a role as the King's unwilling adviser and enforcer, using its powerful mental capabilities to ferret out any potential traitors and threats to the Lich King's command before they could pose a challenge. When the King was cast down and his body broken, the Illithid rejoiced and began putting together a scheme to dethrone the King once and for all. However, its curse prevents it from acting out directly against his master, which forces Sslth'hool to act in more subtle ways..

Sslth'hool on Slug-guts: Slug-Guts, you brainless buffoon, I've taken several trips into your little lair without your knowledge. You honestly didn't believe that the Lich King would allow you to amass such a treasure in his own dungeons without knowing exactly what it is you keep? Every week or so, I've taken trips into your lair to pick through your mind as you slept, taking a catalog of your stock to make sure that nothing too important ever fell into your claws.

Sslth'hool on Taylor Thatcher: Taylor Thatcher, this may come to you as a surprise, but I've been keeping my Eye on you. I mean that quite literally. A fellow student of the arcane arts is rare to come by, much less one of your talents. In addition, you and I are both bound to the King's will, which means that as much as I hate to admit it, we share a certain.. connection. Perhaps you will prove to be useful to me..

Sslth'hool on Buggerbear Slabb: I know of your traitorous intentions, Buggerbear Slabb. You seem to be under the delusion that you are not, in fact, a dangerous tool to be pointed at others, and I am content to let you continue thinking that so long as it serves my purposes. I know you've never been comfortable around me, and I know that you would enjoy seeing my head removed from my body, but I think that despite it all, you may find yourself with few options to turn to in the near future, and I look forward to the day when you come to beg for my assistance.
