There are a couple of highlights from the thread that spawned it all:

Bailywolf:

"Here's another possible take on the Keys thing. Give each meter a Key. Defined during chargen. Like, what's your Key of Violence? When you do violence in line with your key (especially when it requires a check), you get XP. Based on the result of your check, you can then keep your old key, of you can change your perspective. If you do something diametrically opposed to your Key, you MUST make a check, and if you fail, you MUST change your key. A piratical but honorable Rogue Trader shoots someone in the back, which violates his "Fair Fight" Violence Key. He must make a check, which he fails... this earns hims so Experience (he benefits from breaking his personal code), but now he has to re-define his Key... he changes it to "Get the Job Done Quickly". -B"
