(25/10/09 08:57:33) Shining Lord looks down at the armored man from his throne-like pulpit, throwing away a thick book landing by Octavian's feet. His face is emotionless, but the solid gold eyes hard. "We do?"
(25/10/09 08:58:21) Starcc Antonee hovers closer, so that he's looking the Twilight right in the eyes. "Yes. We do."
(25/10/09 08:59:14) Shining Lord: "I don't feel like talking." The young man looks away and adds quietly. "At least not with you."
(25/10/09 09:03:01) Starcc Antonee sighs. "Regardless of whether or not you feel like talking to me, we do still need to." The Adamant Man removes his helmet, running one hand through his black hair.
(25/10/09 09:04:04) Shining Lord: "If you want apologies for actions in the council you have come to the wrong manse."
(25/10/09 09:04:42) Starcc Antonee rolls his eyes. "Actually, I was going to apologise for my over-reaction first."
(25/10/09 09:05:15) Shining Lord looks up at the older man, his eyes growing softer. "Really?"
(25/10/09 09:06:42) Starcc Antonee: "Yes, really. You might have been unnecessarily cruel to a frightened little girl, but that doesn't excuse my overreaction."
(25/10/09 09:07:48) Shining Lord's eyes grow hard again. "Cruel? Me? Nothing compared to her."
(25/10/09 09:11:32) Starcc Antonee sighs. "Solitary is by no means the kindest of the circle, I agree, but she is still a frightened girl who's become everything she was brought up to hate, and who has been consistently persecuted for three months. A little kindness on your part could have gone a long way towards improving her actions towards your bondmate."
(25/10/09 09:14:22) Shining Lord: "That is easy for you to say." Shining fix his eyes in Antonee's. "She started it. From the beginning she humiliated my bondmate... made her do... things. And every single humiliation I feel." He punds himself on the chest. "In here."
(25/10/09 09:16:00) Starcc Antonee rolls his eyes. "At least you get to feel that kind of thing. Do you have any idea how long I've got to be completely celibate?"

(25/10/09 09:27:00) Starcc Antonee rolls his eyes. "The group of people waiting to talk to her didn't exactly look like they planned to do any fawning."
(25/10/09 09:28:39) Shining Lord: "Perhaps, but she still has what? Two bondmates?" Shining snarls and continues heatedly. "And to that two more following at her heel! What do I have? No-one! I just got a two-millenia old voice in my head!"

(25/10/09 09:33:58) Shining Lord: "Oh, don't be suprised, you've already spoken to her, she was the one who stopped me blasting you back to the First Age."
(25/10/09 09:35:36) Starcc Antonee: "...So what you're saying is that you have multiple personalities, one of which claims to be from the First Age." Antonee looks worried. "Do you need to talk to Nuwa?"
(25/10/09 09:37:46) Shining Lord's eyes roll. "I don't have multiple personalities, I am me and only me. So'Rol'And or Shining Lord of Gold and Ivory. Thing is, my previous incarnation, the Shining Lady in Gold and Ivory somehow devised a way to connect her soul to the exaltation shard and pass by the eyes of Lytek unseen."

(25/10/09 09:39:35) Shining Lord: "The Lord. She's in here, mostly angry that I have revealed her existence now that it seems that she didn't reveal herself when she took over in the council room."
(25/10/09 09:48:44) Starcc Antonee: "I see." Antonee looks troubled. "In any case, I would like you to apologise to Solitary for being unnecessarily cruel to her, as I believe she is likely to change her ways after that breakdown."
(25/10/09 09:50:20) Shining Lord: "I will when she apologises to me and my bondmate about how she has treated Lili."
(25/10/09 09:51:41) Starcc Antonee sighs. "She is sixteen. Can't you be the better person and apologise to her first?"
(25/10/09 09:52:37) Shining Lord: "Why shouldn't she try to be the better person for once?"
(25/10/09 09:53:32) Starcc Antonee: "She has been trying, as you would know if you had stayed at the council meeting instead of leaving in a huff."

(25/10/09 09:57:35) Starcc Antonee sighs. "Then why did you not return once you had calmed down?"
(25/10/09 09:58:33) Shining Lord: "It took me hours to do that. Besides, I couldn't stand the bickering and not getting anywhere anymore."
(25/10/09 10:04:41) Starcc Antonee: "...All right. I will still reiterate that Solitary has been publicly attempting to be a better person. I think having you make the first apology would help cement that."

(25/10/09 10:08:09) Shining Lord is silent for a while. "Personal stuff."

(25/10/09 10:09:31) Shining Lord: "Besides, at the end of the day, she is the one with my bondmate at her side, not I."
(25/10/09 10:10:33) Starcc Antonee sighs. "And if you had been at the Council meeting, you could have voted against allowing that arrangement to stand. As you were not..."

(25/10/09 10:11:23) Starcc Antonee blinks, looking confused. "But I thought you opposed it?"

(25/10/09 10:14:50) Starcc Antonee: "Wait. I'm confused. If your bondmate doesn't want the arrangement, why did she enter into it in the first place?"
(25/10/09 10:16:33) Shining Lord: "No, my bondmate does not wish me to vote against it. She chose to protect her Honor in this way and I respect it. That does not mean I like it."

(25/10/09 10:18:54) Shining Lord: "So, I would not have voted against it. I would not have voted for it either. Besides, I would hardly believe Solitary would have gone by the will of the Council."
(25/10/09 10:20:26) Starcc Antonee sighs. "I would ask you to cease hurling unfair accusations against someone who is not even here to defend herself."
(25/10/09 10:21:01) Shining Lord: "It is not an accusation, but an observation."
(25/10/09 10:25:35) Starcc Antonee: "It is an accusation, as you are accusing her of being willing to violate the instructions of the same council which is responsible for giving her a measure of security against being attacked. And as you were not at the Council meeting to observe her behaviour subsequent to the breakdown you caused, it is also an unfair one."
(25/10/09 10:28:29) Shining Lord considers Antonee, examining his face. "I will consider it, no offense, but having a single source is hardly reliable. I will have to speak with my bondmate first."
(25/10/09 10:29:18) Starcc Antonee nods. "None taken."
(25/10/09 10:30:33) Shining Lord: "But still, what if I apologise and she continues to treat my bondmate like... like... a toy?"
(25/10/09 10:31:17) Starcc Antonee: "Then inform Ziyad and I, so that we can talk to her about it."
(25/10/09 10:32:01) Shining Lord's eyes narrow. "And if that has no effect?"
(25/10/09 10:33:31) Starcc Antonee: "Then lodge a formal complaint with the Justice Ministry."
(25/10/09 10:34:26) Shining Lord: "And what if she keeps ignoring it? What if she keeps insulting me and my bondmate? What then?"
(25/10/09 10:37:14) Starcc Antonee's voice coldens. "I would remind you that neither you, nor your bondmate, are sixteen year old girls who have been harassed for three and a half months, and that dwelling on hypotheticals does neither side any good."
(25/10/09 10:39:34) Shining Lord: "And I would remind you that I am a nineteen year old boy who spent the last seven years reading books and fetching spell materials for my master, hundreds of miles from my family who could not accept that I was not a warrior. I am no great man."
(25/10/09 10:45:58) Starcc Antonee: "And Solitary's family thinks she is dead. Even if they knew she was alive, they would not accept someone who has Exalted as 'Anathema'."

(25/10/09 10:47:27) Starcc Antonee frowns. "There is no need to be sarcastic, young man."
(25/10/09 10:47:53) Shining Lord: "Perhaps not, but it makes me feel better."
(25/10/09 10:48:51) Starcc Antonee: "And treating your bondmate as a toy makes her feel better. Are we then to excuse that?"
(25/10/09 10:50:13) Shining Lord looks surly at Antonee. "No," he says after a while.
(25/10/09 10:53:35) Starcc Antonee: "Then we are in agreement that you should not do things simply to make yourself feel better?"
(25/10/09 10:54:41) Shining Lord: "Yes, but she is hardly here to hear it, is she not? What I do in private does not hurt her. What she does to my bondmate however..."

(25/10/09 11:04:58) Starcc Antonee: "And what is that issue?"
(25/10/09 11:09:12) Shining Lord: "She treats her without respect and in general like a toy. Just because my bondmate has decided to follow her commands for four months she thinks that that gives her the right to treat her in any way not appropriate for a human being, much less an Exalt. Furthermore she takes any chance to show this off in front of everyone, publically insulting both me and my bondmate."
(25/10/09 11:11:42) Starcc Antonee sighs. "Solitary has not treated Lilijana without respect at any point after you left the council meeting that I am aware of. And I would invite you to ask your bondmate if she has subsequently done so after the meeting finished."
(25/10/09 11:16:45) Shining Lord: "Well... in that case... would you at least be able to be acting in between? I do not know if I would be able to control myself if I was alone..."
(25/10/09 11:17:37) Starcc Antonee nods. "Very well."
(25/10/09 11:25:36) Shining Lord: "Good... I must... still think about it... but I might want to see her later..."
(25/10/09 11:25:54) Starcc Antonee frowns. "Are you okay?"
(25/10/09 11:29:23) Shining Lord: "I..." Shining slumps together, almost crying. "No... I'm not okay. It has been a couple of... straining days lately. And my bondmate is away from me."
(25/10/09 11:31:11) Starcc Antonee hesitates, then moves forward, draping one of Shining's arms over his back. "Come with me. I know exactly how to take your mind off things."

(25/10/09 11:32:32) Starcc Antonee: "I have a few good bottles of wine that need drinking. This is the perfect time."
(25/10/09 11:35:01) Shining Lord: "I..." Shining hesitates, but then grins. "Why didn't you say so?" He gets up barely without need of Antonee. "I'm sorry, but I will want a bodyguard with me." He waves to the Second Circles standing a bit back. "Florviet, come with me, you other two hold the fort."

(25/10/09 11:39:51) Shining Lord looks wondering at Antonee as they exit the central library. "Outside what?"
(25/10/09 11:40:15) Starcc Antonee: "The subsequent destination, of course."
(25/10/09 11:41:14) Shining Lord: "We'll see when we get there. Only because they're bound does not mean that I do not treat my demons well, and I trust them quite a bit."

(25/10/09 13:31:01) Shining Lord is having one of the worst headaches in his life, second only to the one where he tried and failed to cast an unfinished spell from the Golden Tome. "W... Where am I?"

(25/10/09 13:37:20) Shining Lord: "The... bwuh?" Shining tries to get up but decides not to. "I am in... the Palace of... infi..."
(25/10/09 13:37:41) Aninira: "The Palace of Infinite Desire, sir."
(25/10/09 13:38:00) Shining Lord: "I... how long have I been here?"
(25/10/09 13:39:13) Aninira glances at the clock. "Sir came in at approximately three hours past sunset... Sir has been here for fourteen hours."
(25/10/09 13:40:10) Shining Lord: "Fou... fourteen hours?!" Shining takes a time that it should not take for him to try and calculate what that means. "So... it is Noon?!"

(25/10/09 13:42:36) Shining Lord: "And I've been in here all the time... doing... it... with you?"
(25/10/09 13:45:52) Aninira: "Sir has in fact been asleep for the past ten hours. Sir only spent four hours doing 'it' with Telarreann and I."

(25/10/09 13:49:46) Shining Lord closes his eyes and falls backwards, slowly memories of the night is getting back to him via the Lady.
