Patrick is a Police Commissioner (Kriminaloberkommissar) working for Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt, BKA). Some time ago, his younger sister Effie Baumann vanished after travelling to Sunport. The local police investigated, but apparently nothing came of the investigation and the young woman was eventually declared dead. Patrick, however, refused to believe this and took a leave of absence to travel to Sunport himself. He hopes to be able to find his sister with the help of Mael Benavides, last scion of the rich and influential Benavides family, who might harbor some secrets of his own...
