Blacksmithing

Material Notes

Blacksmithing materials are quite varied, and it is appropriate to provide all required materials unless specifically told otherwise by the crafter.

Metal bars are the most common blacksmithing materials, and are created by smelting. Not all ore converts to bars in a 1 to 1 ratio.

1 Copper Bar = 1 Copper Ore

1 Tin Bar = 1 Tin Ore

2 Bronze Bar = 1 Copper bar, 1 Tin Bar

1 Silver Bar = 1 Silver Ore

1 Iron Bar = 1 Iron Ore

1 Steel Bar = 1 Iron Bar, one Coal

1 Gold Bar = 1 Gold Ore

1 Mithril Bar = 1 Mithril Ore

1 Truesilver Bar = 1 Truesilver Ore

1 Dark Iron Bar = 8 Dark Iron Ore, only smeltable inside BRD at the Black Forge

1 Thorium Bar = 1 Thorium Ore

1 Enchanted Thorium Bar = 1 Thorium Bar, 3 Dream Dust. Can be made by Enchanters.

1 Arcanite Bar = 1 Thorium Bar, 1 Arcane Crystal. Can be made by Alchemists.

1 Elementium Bar = 1 Elementium Ore, 10 Arcanite Bar, 1 Fiery Core, 3 Elemental Flux.

1 Fel Iron Bar = 2 Fel Iron Ore

1 Adamantite Bar = 2 Adamantite Ore

1 Eternium Bar = 2 Eternium Ore

1 Felsteel Bar = 3 Fel Iron Bar, 2 Eternium Bar

1 Khorium Bar = 2 Khorium Ore

1 Hardened Adamantite Bar = 10 Adamantite Bar

1 Hardened Khorium Bar = 1 Hardened Adamantite Bar, 3 Khorium Bar

Elementium and Hardened Khorium are difficult to learn to smelt, and are needed for very few crafted items.

Weapons

Only weapon of interest at 70 is the Eternium Runed Blade

Armor

Barin can smith all of the Violet Eye frost-resist set and the Cenarian Expedition nature-resist set. He can also smith Steelgrip Gauntlets. For those looking to gear new 70s, Barin has the entire Felsteel tanking set (helm, gloves, legs) and part of the Ragesteel set (shoulders and gloves.)

Low Level Items

Barin has an extensive array of craftable old-world items. If you're looking for an item for a particular level range, please ask.

Sandroc

Weapons

Sandroc knows the Felsteel Whisper Knives plan. These throwing knives have quite good bonuses for physical DPS classes.

Armor

Sandroc knows all the Ragesteel plans, a good four-piece plate DPS set for new 70s.

Low Level Items

Sandroc has all the trainable lower level plans.

• Sharrow knows all the trainer smithing plans, as well as others. Of note is the complete Imperial Plate set, and all Heavy mithril and Ornate Mithril plans.
