Game Mechanics:[edit]

Has 0 points towards Qi skills.

A single level of Unarmed combat gives you only +5% to Brawl and Grapple alike, but lessens the opponent's attack skill by 5%, adds +2 to unarmed damage and gives your limbs 2 points of armour for parries. With your Damage bonus and Martial arts skill, your damage roll would become 1d3+1d4+2, and another 1d3 if your attack roll is also under your Martial Arts skill level. Basically, meaning you can't roll less than 4 in any case, and the damage scales up to 12 bashing.

Grappling might take longer, but it's possibly worse:D!

However, if the opponent also has UC levels, you need a resistance roll, and only one of you is likely to benefit from them. The more levels you have, the more likely you are to shut down the enemy's skill boost.

A single level of Super Brawl gives you +20% of Brawl, and nothing else. Yes, it doesn't give you +20 to Grapple. You need Super Grapple for that. And of course, you can have more than one level of each.

Staff is 1d6+1d4, plus possibly another 1d6 if your attack roll is also under your Martial Arts skill level.

Other skills are figured normally. Super Dodge gives you +20 to dodge per level, possibly making you very, very hard to hit. It's also got some other benefits against Parry.

Heroic Strength allows inflicting knockback, one metre per level. Alternatively, you can break walls, 3 Siz per level, or pieces of furniture.

Defence reduces the chance of all opponents to strike by 5% per level. Good against minions, since it lasts for 5 rounds per Qi point expended on it. If facing a skilled enemy, it also stacks with the ability to reduce a given opponent's skill with Unarmed combat, although Super Dodge is better here.

Powers of Foshan Powers: Defence (1/lvl), Extra Energy (1/lvl), Heroic strength 2/lvl, super skill (Brawl) 2/lvl, super skill (Cl imb) 2/lvl, super skill (Dodge) 2/lvl, super skill (Jump) 2/lvl, super speed 10/lvl, Unarmed Combat 10/lvl

Ton Lin's words:[edit]

About Yu "First is Lü", he announces. "Lü — The Wanderer. Success through smallness. Perseverance brings good fortune to the wanderer.Fire on the mountain gives the image of Lü. Remember that the superior man is clear-minded and cautious in imposing penalties, and protracts no lawsuits!" He sighs. "I'm not sure what this means, but apparently, you're to encounter the law, and should look towards the small, not the great, if you're to resolve it. But resolve it you should, and fast!" Ton Lin nods, then gestures to keep the boy silent. "But wait, there is more! The wanderer rests in a shelter. He obtains his property and an ax. My heart is not glad. The bird's nest burns up. The wanderer laughs at first, then must needs lament and weep. Through carelessness he loses his cow. Misfortune." Ton Lin pulls his beard, than frowns. "Misfortune is quite likely, especially if you fail in the aforementioned lawsuit. If you encounter misfortune, try not to weep. The next one is better". "Ch'ien — Modesty. It's modesty that creates success. The superior man carries things through. Within the earth, a mountain: Thus the superior man reduces that which is too much, and augments that which is too little. He weighs things and makes them equal." He shakes his head. "You should teach the great to be like you, and raise up to greatness. Truly, my boy, Heavens have a lot in store for you!" Then the diviner leans back and handles you a tablet. "Here. I have detailed inside the results of many predictions to guide your uncles on the best path. But one of them hints that you shouldn't hurry to bring it to them. I was wondering why...but now I know it". His eyes seem to flare when he leans forward and croaks. "You have to walk your own path - and in doing so, become the wonderer, and remind people of modesty! Straying from this would avert the good fortunes of your uncles as well! Only after finding your own path and walking it, can you help them resolve the problem they've asked my help with. Thus, it is imperative for you to find it. If you wish, I could find another messenger. The first line makes it clear, that your path doesn't lead back to home! At least, not immediately."

About Lao "It's Ming I, the Darkening of the Light", he announces. "In adversity It furthers one to be persevering. The light has sunk into the earth.

Thus does the superior man live with the great mass: He veils his light, yet still shines." Ton Lin looks upon Li, then adds. "Of course, you're not a man, so it's not about you. But look out for the superior man behind the veil, that passes unnoticed. Then keep close to him! Your fate is linked strongly with him! All the lines were young - fittingly - so there's no more advice the Heavens wish to dispense!"
