Appearance[edit]

Prince Clovis is an extraordinarily handsome man, equal in appearance to Albert, but also cold in feature. He dresses in an elaborate military royal style and never takes off his gloves if he can avoid it. Prince Clovis carries a rapier but rarely bothers to use it, since his own magical powers are incredibly formidable (He is called the "Prince of Lightning" for a reason).

Personality[edit]

Prince Clovis a pleasant playboy who enjoys seducing non-human women above normal women. It is a fetish that he very much enjoys indulging. He is also capable of consuming copious amounts of alcohol without flinching. Clovis' mind is never clouded though and he's capable of acts of astounding ruthlessness when the time comes. Surprisingly, despite what people think, he's loyal to Winterweir first and his political ambitions second. He's also fiercely protective of his younger sisters that live at the palace and are tools for intrigue.

Abilities[edit]

Prince Clovis was found to have immense magical potential as a child but King Hrothbert refused to have him trained under the Grand Arcanum. Instead, he was educated under WIld Sorcerers who taught him to harness the power of electricity and lightning. The reason he wears gloves is that he's actually permanently charged his hands to give off electrical Shocking Grasp spells, despite his best intentions. As a result, even his other spells have an electrical bent.

Clovis is a political and military genius with an amateur love of alchemy (Skill, not the Class). He's constructed the first Light Bulb and practical electrical Elevator in Winterweir.

Background[edit]

Prince Clovis was taken from his father, Admiral Daelin D'Winterweir, almost at birth and raised at King Hrothberts court as a hostage. He was tortured by his Uncle in numerous ways, including having the first girl he ever fell in love with (a 16 year old servant girl) dissected before his eyes. The experience left him mentally scarred and he was brainwashed into becoming the perfect weapon for Hrothbert's Stosstorpen.

The death of King Hrothbert has left Prince Clovis mentally and physically shaken. Realizing that his sister is too soft to take the throne, Prince Clovis has pledged his allegiance to her and has vowed to protect her at all costs. Those who believe he'd be interested in a military coup against her are gravely mistaken as, while he believes himself to be damned for his numerous actions, he's a great believer that his sister's path will lead to peace. To that end, he's taken it upon himself to defend her through decidedly unethical means.

Prince Clovis' one weakness is child abuse. The sight of children being harmed or threaten sends him into an insane lightning rage (Johan would recognize it).
