Super-Powered-ness: "Red-Shirt" has the ability to come back from any(?) death... When death occurs a strange gypsy vapor appears somewhere near (within 2-300 yards) his dead body. When returning from death Red Shirt always appears wearing the red "Space Trek" replica shirt that Joe was wearing when the old gypsy woman cursed him several years ago. In place of his former self, he returns as either man, woman or domesticated animal - randomly... Another side-effect of dying is the gain of a random super power. Joe, while disliking the means, uses this ability to fight crime with a remedial utility belt.

ORIGIN STORY[edit]

It was just over a year ago today, hipster Joe Burger was attending a quite massive "Space Trek" convention in MEGA CITY. Joe was decked out in a full red shirt uniform of the classic "Space Trek" ensign/expendable background characters of the series. Such "red shirts" tended to go on the away missions or in some other way be put into deathly peril on a weekly nature. It was a lame costume, Joe thought, but his 2nd cousin Larry had asked him to play the part while Larry play "the captain" - Joe had the costume (long story) and so he did...

While wandering the vast convention hall floors Joe's eye was caught by something that he hadn't seen in years... An original Captain Festus mego action figure, in MINT condition in the original blister pack! As his red uniform cloaked arm reached for the Festus figure another knarled and broken claw-fingered hand snatched in grabbing the top of Joe's hand, which now held the action figure...

"CRUX AND SHOO, BE AWAY WITH YOU!" an old smoker laiden voice piped up with a screach...

Joe's natural instinct was to pull back, recoiling from the grandmother thin olive skinned gypsy woman. The old crown had some unnatural need/want for this "toy"... With a grimis and slight cackle the woman pulled a sprig of arcane dust from her voo-doo pouch - with a wink she quickly spat and blew the dust into Joe's face...
