Once Man sought to terraform Mars - colonies were established, the atmosphere doped with greenhouse gases, sown with hardy spores. Mars was a work in progressm and people lived there. It was hard, but they lived.
Then one day Earth went silent. No warning. No reasons. Just... silent.
