GENERAL EQUIPMENT[edit]

Data Input/Output Pad (DIOP)[edit]

The rocket ship data i/o pad allows characters to take notes while in the field, including P.R.O.D. readings, for later input into the ship's onboard computers. The DIOP is very adaptable to foreign equipment and characters with the applicable skills should have no problems adapting it to access the onboard systems of salvaged space junk, unknown program computers, or pay phones when that elusive quarter cannot be found. Unfortunately, only one DIOP is issued per rocket ship. The DIOP weighs 5 pounds, is six inches by nine inches by two inches, in black metallic, with an adjustable shoulder strap.

ATOM Scanner[edit]

The Atom scanner is a hand held device used for scanning the Atoms/DNA of a target. Although this may be done for any number of reasons, including the prosecution of criminals, it is also done to test if the subject is, or is not, a clone. Due to the nature of such tests, or more appropriately the potential reaction of the test subject, the Atom Scanner is often concealed in another device such as a walkie-talkie, the handle of a ray gun, or a belt buckle. A tissue or blood sample and a successful interpretation of the received data are required.

Geiger Counter[edit]

A small hand-held device used for detecting and measuring radiation. Note that this does not protect from radiation, it merely informs.

Emergency Survival Kit[edit]

This is a very large trunk built into the hull of rocket ship accessed via the <something pertinent here room. It contains most everything one would need to survive in a hostile environment including matches, thermolite insulator blankets, iron rations, dehydrated water pellets, a camp stove, a six man tent, jumper cables, a basic tool box, a flare gun, six flares, a first aid kit, an adjustable wattage flashlight, batteries, a shiny silver backpack, a number of repair manuals and scientific texts, sunscreen, and other standard necessities.

Field Hospital[edit]

The field hospital or it's equivalent is necessary for the use of the medicine treatment and, although it is far from ideal, it should suit the minimum requirements for most doctors' needs. Repeated use will, of course, deplete supplies and restocking the field hospital may become an adventure in it's own right. It is located next to the emergency survival kit.

First Aid Kit[edit]

This contains bandages, ointment, rubber gloves, and anything else needed for successful First Aid. It is portable and may be worn on a belt across the small of ones back. It ways approximately ten lbs.

Portable Kessler Field Generator[edit]

A backpack sized machine attached to a brown leather jacket. Dial controls on the belt allow the user to regulate output. The Portable Kessler Field creates a globe in excess of six feet in diameter. It weighs fifty lbs.

Portable Homing Beacon[edit]

The Portable Homing Beacon is included in rocket ship for two reasons. One is so the crew, should they become lost, is able to relocate the ship. The other is so Earth Control, should the crew become lost, is able to recover its investment and salvage the ship. Note that the homing beacon can be removed from the ship at anytime should the crew so desire. It is a black box with a toggle switch and a flashing red diode (when turned to the on position). The DIOP is attuned to the portable homing beacon and may be used to recover it, as is the shipboard computer.

P.R.O.D.[edit]

Portable Remote Omni-Detector is a large metal box with shoulder straps for ease of use. A connecting cable extends from the top of the box to the two foot wand which may be held in either hand. The P.R.O.D. is able to scan any environment and take a number of different readings for the readings to be accurate the user must be familiar with higher sciences. The P.R.O.D. weighs fifty lbs.

Self-inflating floatation device[edit]

This is a six man circular yellow raft and is standard issue.

Space Suit[edit]

Zero gravity zero oxygen survival suit comes with magnetic boots, a walkie-talkie headset, and 8 hours of oxygen.

Uniforms[edit]

These spiffy uniforms are worn by all flight crew and come in this season's top styles and fashions. Included in this package for a limited time is an official Earth Com wrist timepiece, including compass, alarm and calculator. Utility belts are adaptable to suit a variety of needs and come in black, brown, camouflage, cream and khaki. Swiss army knife, multi-purpose hand tool and walkie-talkie also included. Sizes: small, medium, large, extra large.

Toolbox[edit]

Although the emergency survival kit contains a small tool kit, there are times when the problems are so huge only a small workshop will fix things. Luckily, one exists on board the rocket ship. Build, rebuild, take apart, repair, or figure out an item - the toolbox is an invaluable resource for technians and mechanics.

Walkie-talkie[edit]

Communicators are wafer thin, three inches by two inches and have a range of up to five miles in ideal conditions.
