Rule of Thirds

Dame Margot created the Rule of Thirds for the servants of Castle Amber.

• A server at a dinner mingles for 2/3 of a hour then rests for a third of an hour
• A server with a plate serves till the plate is 2/3 empty. The remaining third is returned to the kitchen and eaten by the staff.
• Bottle service pours 2/3 of the bottle, then returns a third to the kitchen. The kitchen third is generally added to the kitchen barrels.
