Nala is of a noble house in Rebma; Moir Tral. The first of the Noble houses.

Nala received the finest education in Rebma and Fantalin. She served for 10 years as a lady in waiting to Queen Moore of Rebma.

She became a close friend of Carissa of Amber. When Carissa decided to travel shadow she invited Napa to go with her.
