SOTDL: Advancement
This game is meant (if all goes well) to run as an episodic campaign broken into story arcs of (usually) five (5) acts each. Each arc is worth two (2) XP, one (1) of which will be awarded at the end of Act three (3) and the other at the end of act five (5). Players may spend XP as they earn them or bank them to spend later.
XP can be spent to advance characters as follows:
Tier 0[edit]
Sometimes the game experience doesn't quite match with chargen expectations. Tier 0 adjustments exist specifically to deal with those sorts of tweaks and changes without leveling an XP tax for the privilege. Tier 0 adjustments are only available during and immediately following a character's first story arc in the game.
Rather than try to list these out as per the regular tiers, these will be handled case by case, preferably via DM if players are comfortable with that.

- Swap out one (1) Signature Asset SFX for another: 1 Experience

- Convert a scene asset from the story arc into a Signature Asset: 1 Experience
Custom SFX guidelines may be found in the Prime handbook on pages 61-63 (excepting limits). Do not use the guidelines for distinctions found on pages 191-213.
