Acquisitions is its own little world of shadows and deceit. The corporate training was extraordinarily exclusive, reserved for the very most promising executives, so Sam wormed her way into it. It was a hotbox of manipulation, cramped quarters, forced intimacy and strange images. She remember looking at the trainer once and seeing something...not human. Something that wanted her to see it and in the seeing wove her into the slow, careful destruction of a young man, the flaying of his mind and the torture of his body. She helped.
So perhaps there is a world without consequences, with limitless possibilities? Perhaps Samantha could always be one step ahead of those she had decieved?
