Commander Jonelle Barret: Jonelle Barret is a veteran X-COM officer. She served as a high ranking officer in Valkryie Command for two months. When Vanguard needed a replacement commander following the disaster in Nigeria, she was tapped to replace him and got the base back online. And now, when X-COM needs a new commander to set up a base Switzerland, the job went to her. She’s harsh on the budget, accounts for every cent, but also makes sure that every dollar gets used to provide the best gear and equipment for soldiers under her command.

Major Ari Laurentz: Another X-COM veteran, Major Laurentz is the flight lead at Andermant. Both Tachyon and Axion Squadrons report directly to him. He tends to favour aggressive action, but never asks anyone to take a risk he won’t. Reliable base rumor has him in a relationship with Commander Barret which isn’t strictly speaking against the rules, due to X-COM’s relaxed restrictions on personal relationships.

Captain Uyeda ‘Jester’ Mizuki: Mizuki is a JSDF pilot, who was part of the Kiruyai-Kai attempt at an alien defense force prior to the founding of X-COM. She transferred to X-COM a month ago, and commands Axiom Squadron, the sister squadron to Tachyon at Andermatt.
High Concept: Axion Squadron Commander

Captain Ano 'Fossil' Benyamina: While being a fighter pilot is usually a young person's game, Benyamina, at 55, is one of the oldest combat pilots still flying. He was brought in as a test pilot for the Ravens back before the war even started, and treats his position as an instructional one, teaching the pilots under his command

Captain Rosalyn Taylor: Transferred from X-COM HQ to help set up the combat unit at Andermatt. Former Canadian special forces. She was a test subject for the first MELD cybernetics experiments following the loss of her left eye, which has been replaced with a prototype cybernetic one.

Samuel McIntosh: Scottish engineer, he’s the lead flight deck mechanic responsible for keeping the interceptors, skyrangers and other vehicles airborne.

Dr Jim Trenchard: Scientist at Valkryie base, transferred to be the head researched at Andermatt. Specialist in Xenobiology, he’s one of Dr Moira Vahlen’s proteges. He often splits his time between Andermatt and Hot Box, the base for long term confinement of alien prisoners in Africa
