The Sentyr are a peculiar people, divided among clans, who value martial prowess greatly. They tend to be hard-bitten types who have little time for what they would call idle superstition. They are quick to anger and slow to forgive, and while they are not terribly clever, nor particularly open to new ideas, they get things done through dogged persistence.

If two Sentyr individuals from different clans are left in a room, they are likely to begin arguing angrily with each other, about anything they can come up with, although it will rarely escalate to violence. If two Sentyr clans are left in a neighborhood, there will be a small but vicious war.

Far back in their history, after a particularly nasty series of globally destructive wars, one particularly wealthy clan announced that it was seeking allies and auxiliaries to form a super-clan that would restrict group violence to comparatively low-tech combat. It expanded, because it had much to give its allies, and when any clan opposed it, it was simply annihilated.
