{Verithe} Yay!
{Angelo} Hi all!
{BethE} Hi Angelo!
{BethE} Oh, that reminds me...does Kite see himself as male, female or other?
{Knockwood} Hiya Angelo
{Verithe} Kite is male.
{Random_Nerd} Ah, there he is. Hey, Angelo.
{Verithe} He's never laid an egg in his life.
{Angelo} Sorry all waiting me *Blush*
{Random_Nerd} S'fine.
{Verithe} 'Salright. :)
{Random_Nerd} So, anything else before we start?
{Angelo} yep
{Knockwood} are we going on the hunting trip this session?
{Angelo} the aura around nobles that cause uneasiness is automatic?
{Random_Nerd} Hmm. Uneasiness in what sense?
{Random_Nerd} The high-realm "stench of nobility," the Spirit-related thing, or what?
{Knockwood} you may be confusing 'inherent uneasiness' with 'is that a floating metal snail?!?'
{Angelo} that, from what I recall, IF some noble come too near another noble the one feel the area near said noble as weird
{Random_Nerd} That is correct. It's automatic, except with Nobles who have certain weird powers or imperator qualities.
{Angelo} so I cannot pose as a paperwork in the hand of another Noble for spying purpose? right?
{Angelo} I=Ftisk
{Random_Nerd} They would likely notice it, unless you had a gift like Unblemished Guise.
{BethE} That sounds..kinda kinky. I must need more caffeine...
{Random_Nerd} Page 122.
{Angelo} uhm... ok!
{Random_Nerd} I'd also rule that the Unfathomable imperator quality would do the same thing, given how it blocks being spotted with the Sight.
{Random_Nerd} But, yes. Barring specific powers that allow you to hide it, your nobleness will be visible to other Nobles in close proximity.
{Angelo} well so with that gift Ftisk will become a super spy! :-) thank you RN!
{Random_Nerd} *nod*
{Random_Nerd} Any other questions before we begin?
{Knockwood} debating whether to get an attack gift...
{Angelo} because I don't have the book here, how much cost uGuise?
{Knockwood} come to think of it do any of us have attack gifts?
{Random_Nerd} Guising is a level 2 aspect miracle.
{Random_Nerd} Don't think so.
{BethE} Not specifically.
{Angelo} Ftisk don't have any
{Random_Nerd} Snow did, but she got afflicted with the Curse.
=-= BethE is now known as Theresa
{Verithe} What would be considered an attack gift?
{Theresa} (She's spawning.)
{Random_Nerd} Something that allowed a direct attack, and included a certain amount of Penetration.
{Random_Nerd} Like Consequences' explosion thing, say.
{Knockwood} well, fr'ex, if you crossed Snow she could eat your head. :)O
=-= Knockwood is now known as DanteE
{Verithe} Ah. Nope, don't think I have one of those, just yet.
{Angelo} And Verithe feather? is not an attack?
=-= YOU are now known as Ftisk
{DanteE} oh yeah, there's your feathers
{Verithe} It is, but I forget whether I put any penetration on it. *checks*
{Random_Nerd} Hmm. Let me look at that...
{Random_Nerd} Without penetration, it would mostly just be useful for anti-mortal stuff.
{Random_Nerd} And anti-mortal offensive gifts generally only cost one CP unless they're something really elaborate or flexible.
{Random_Nerd} Okay, the feathers are Pen 3.
{Random_Nerd} That'll work on most targets, other than dedicated fighters or ritualists.
{Ftisk} weeeee a brother with some homph under the belt! :-)
{Verithe} Well, whataya know.
{DanteE} should we get attacks before going on the hunting trip?
{Random_Nerd} Up to you.
{Random_Nerd} I think most or all of you have spare CP.
{Verithe} Are we doing the hunting trip first or Theresa's meeting?
{Random_Nerd} Either works. Preferences?
=-= Verithe is now known as Kite
{Ftisk} the trip was in 5/6 hours, the metting in?
{DanteE} actually, this week it occurred to me that, since Theresa and I have both been in The Vault, we have an excuse to get Treasures-themed gifts.
{Random_Nerd} The timing on both is ambiguous enough that either order would fit what's been said.
{DanteE} So, what's the writeup on basic Nazi-melting? :)
{Random_Nerd} Lesser Destruction of Solidity, 5. Simple Miracle, -1. One Person, -2. Limited Selection, -2. Uncommon, +1.
{Random_Nerd} 1 point.
{DanteE} OK, and to extend that to Excrucians?
{Kite} Also, just in case it comes up, how does one Anchor a Dionyl?
{Theresa} I'm okay with waiting until after the hunt for the meeting.
{Random_Nerd} That wouldn't work directly on Excrucians.
{Random_Nerd} You'd need to project some substance or force to do it, not act directly on their bodies.
{Random_Nerd} Like, Major Creation of Angry Ghosts, 7. Simple, -1. One Person, -2. Limited Selection, -2. Uncommon, +1. 3 points, plus whatever you spend on penetration.
{DanteE} probably stick with sword-flinging, then
{Random_Nerd} Destructions, in fights with Nobles or Excrucians, are mainly only useful for defense or indirect attacks.
{DanteE} Well, the Ark thing can still work if you consider it a 'projection of energy'
{Random_Nerd} Yeah. It just depends how you envision it.
{DanteE} and your Ghosts thing... that's sort of like increasing the courage of the local spirits, so not uncommon. :)
{Random_Nerd} In mechanical concerns, the important characteristics of an offensive gift are whether it can trump the two overpowerable defensive Gifts (Durant and Sacrosanct) and still do a Deadly wound, and what Spirit it can break through.
{Random_Nerd} Well, I guess and what MP cost.
{Random_Nerd} A Gift that took MPs to use, but would do a Deadly to anyone but an Immortal might be viable, for instance.
{Random_Nerd} Shall we do Theresa's scene, while you think about it?
{DanteE} OK
{Ftisk} OK
{Theresa} Sure.
{Random_Nerd} So, let's see. Who had you wanted to bring along, and where had you wanted to meet them?"
{Theresa} William (if he's available) and I let them pick the place. (aka I don't care.)
{Ftisk} I'm where Dante is. In my girl form naturally. :-)
{DanteE} (Who's she meeting again?)
{Random_Nerd} (Several of the high-ranking officers of the Amyran military forces.)
{Random_Nerd} And were you bringing Lesson?
{Theresa} Hmm....I'm not sure. Any opinions on it?
{Ftisk} I'm for putting Lesson in
{Random_Nerd} *shrug* It's your scene.
{Ftisk} (the more the merrier :-D )
{Random_Nerd} Oh, that reminds me. Since just Theresa will be there of the PCs, who wants an NPC?
{Random_Nerd} We have high ranking officials from the Air Force, the Navy, and the Army. Also, William and Lesson.
{DanteE} (hm...)
{Kite} (I have no idea what I'd do with one, but sure!)
{Random_Nerd} (Okay, who do you want?)
{Ftisk} (I like a good slice of an Army official. The classical skeptical one)
{Kite} (I'll take the Air Force)
{Ftisk} (ah, with some frosting on it please!)
{Kite} (*sends Kite off fishing in the meantime*
{Random_Nerd} (Okay. You've got... Walter Frumm, Angelo. He's a three-star general in the army. He's in his sixties, and is uncertain how he feels about the Nobles. He thinks they've been doing okay, but his deepest loyalties are to Parliament.)
{DanteE} Dante'll be watching over the barkeep and the doctors, and possibly practicing attack moves (by tearing the hell out of the dartboard... :) )
=-= YOU are now known as Walter_Frumm
{Random_Nerd} (Kite, you have Katherine Tarpe. You're the number 3 person in the Amyran airforce, which is smaller than the other armed forces. You're not certain who your loyalties are with. You're also uncertain of your force's role, in a nation that no longer seems to have borders that can be crossed by air.)
{Random_Nerd} All of you are meeting in a large conference room, in an Amyran army base about fifteen miles south of Kaerkoven.
{Random_Nerd} Theresa has called the meeting, and you've each been chosen to represent your respective forces.
{DanteE} (debating playing Lesson...)
{Kite} (what's Ms Tarpe's title?)
{Random_Nerd} (You can if you want.)
{DanteE} (Anything new or special about him?)
{Walter_Frumm} (So in my turf eh? :-P )
{Random_Nerd} (Deputy Marshal of the Air Force.)
=-= Kite is now known as Tarpe
=-= DanteE is now known as Lesson_the_Black
{Tarpe} (Alright)
{Random_Nerd} ________________START_________________
{Random_Nerd} (Lesson has been told that Theresa is looking into other ways to use him and the Bureau.)

  • Lesson_the_Black adjusts his fedora in an attempt to look more ... something

{Theresa} (Thank you.)
{Random_Nerd} The table you're all sitting along is varnished wood, and is long enough to seat two dozen people, with plenty of armspace.

  • Theresa resists the urge to smooth out her grey dress-suit.

{Random_Nerd} Right now, it's seating six.

  • Lesson_the_Black stands behind the Nobles...

=-= lazarus is now known as Brian
{Lesson_the_Black} (Hiya Brian)
{Walter_Frumm} (Hi Laz!)
{Random_Nerd} William is wearing his third-best suit, in a light grey that calls attention to the small amount of grey in his otherwise red hair.

  • Theresa smiles. "Thank you very much for attending this meeting. I feel that this could benefit us all."
  • Lesson_the_Black glowers.

{Theresa} (I never know what to call ladies in the military. I get the urge to call them sir.)

  • Tarpe straightens papers.
  • Walter_Frumm check that security personnel is discreetly in place

{Lesson_the_Black} (I think that's correct, actually...)
{Random_Nerd} Admiral Sinclair adjusts his hat.
{Tarpe} (sir or by title, I believe)
{Random_Nerd} (Who knows what it is for Amyra? It's your chancel, you tell me.)
{Theresa} (But then, do you use 'gentlemen' or not...)
{Random_Nerd} Sinclair: "If this has anything to do with our new guests in the limited ocean we still have, we've been keeping a discrete distance, as requested."

  • Theresa tilts her head. "Thank you. We have received word that the Chancel of our guests is being rebuilt as we speak."

{Lesson_the_Black} (wanna play somebody Laz?)
{Walter_Frumm} "There is a way to determine when these _aliens_ will go home?"
{Random_Nerd} Admiral S: "Unfortunately, what slight overtures we've made towards them have been frustrated by cultural differences. They don't seem to have the idea of a non-supernatural military force, and I've been able to communicate only the vaguest idea of what we do."
{Brian} (I'm good just watching. I have to decide if Brian goes on that hunt or what he would do otherwise if not)
{Random_Nerd} William: "Ah, our guests are at least descended from humans, and many of them consider themselves to be human."
{Walter_Frumm} (we are doing Theresa vs Generals match before the fight)
{Brian} (yeah, I figured I'd watch that and hopefully by the time that's done I'd have figured out what Brian's going to be doing :p)
{Theresa} "In other Chancels, their origins can be far removed from what we would consider modern-day cultures. Over time, a Chancel can become quite supernaturally dependant. And these _guests_ will be able to return home as soon as their Nobles have decided that it is safe to do so."
{Lesson_the_Black} (Lesson's pretty much made up with William, right?)
{Random_Nerd} Sinclair: "Hmm."
{Random_Nerd} (Pretty much. They're still a little distant, but they don't argue much, and they've got at least some mutual respect by now.)
{Theresa} "Their predicament is a good seque-way into what I wish to talk about. What do you know of the Great War being fought by Imperators like Lord Kudzu?"
{Random_Nerd} (You may have heard the term, once, in passing.)
{Random_Nerd} (Even Kudzu is a vague figure, like a cross between a distant head of state and Bigfoot.)
{Tarpe} "War, Ma'am?"
{Walter_Frumm} "Yes Alien coming here and landing mass destruction on us?"

  • Tarpe readies her pen.

{Random_Nerd} William: "In essence, yes. Far more alien than our guests, or... Lesson, here, for that matter."

  • Tarpe glances uncomfortably at Lesson.
  • Lesson_the_Black glowers back...

{Theresa} "There are beings called Imperators. They embody everything about our Universe. Those who choose to do so can create Chancels like how Amyra has become and enNoble people, like myself and my Siblings."
{Walter_Frumm} "uhm... Lesson here, is a _demon_ right, from literary hell... Uhm I like that... uhm"
{Lesson_the_Black} "Yes. The one with the fire and the screams of the damned."

  • Walter_Frumm sarcasm loaded tone "Great"

{Theresa} "They protect the parts of Creation that are under their control. There are enemies from Outside who wish to destroy and negate those Estates. It is the Imperator and Noble jobs to prevent this from happening. That is the Great War."
{Random_Nerd} (All of you know about Lesson that he works directly for the Nobles, that he runs an organization filled with a combination of shrinks, monsters, and ordinary people, and that he's a demon. It would be plausible for your characters to be Muslim, Christian, Jewish, or secular, given what we've established about Amyra. That may affect your feelings about Lesson.)
{Walter_Frumm} "Estate?"
{Theresa} "The concept that the Noble or Imperator is in charge of. In my case, Plants."
{Walter_Frumm} (Mine is bigot Christian! But _really_ narrow minded)
{Tarpe} "All plants? Like the giant one romping through the countryside?"
{Random_Nerd} (Anti-demonite!)
{Theresa} "On occasion, like in the case of our guests, a Chancel can be directly attacked. I believe that Lesson, his Bureau and the Armed Forces can work together to protect the Chancel in case of this happening to us."
{Lesson_the_Black} (Um, that sounds like the fishmen are attacking Amyra)
{Walter_Frumm} "And these fishfolk are leading a sneak attack on us?"
{Theresa} (Oh? I read it to say that that is what happened to our guests.)
{Theresa} "No, they are not. They are refugees from an attack on their own Chancel."
{Walter_Frumm} (T, trust no one!)
{Random_Nerd} Sinclair: "I've heard a few rumors of what happened there, from those fishes that I've been able to talk to. It sounded like a giant fighting a dragon, or maybe a sea-monster. What would be our role in such a fight?"
{Lesson_the_Black} ("Run like a bitch." :) )
{Theresa} "Deputy-marshall, could you be more specific? The redwood, I take it?"
{Tarpe} "I wouldn't know the specific type of tree, I'm afraid. Ambulatory; much larger than the other trees in the country."
{Walter_Frumm} "The one with pet cows?"
{Theresa} "You would be protecting the citizens of the Chancel, improving survival through evacuation and I believe that Lesson may have some additional ideas as to what can be done if you wish to be less...supernaturally dependant."
{Tarpe} "Yes, that one."
{Lesson_the_Black} (Come to think of it, has Lesson fought any Shards?)
{Random_Nerd} (No, not that I'm aware of.)

  • Theresa smiles. "Ah, yes, Red. He's an immigrant, you could say, from America. Lord Kudzu requested a giant to transform into a roaming guard of the Chancel. But yes, he falls under my Estate."

{Walter_Frumm} "We must evacuate where the tree go? Is potentially hostile? I have no report on that!"
{Random_Nerd} (He knows, broadly speaking, what they are, and what they can do.)
{Theresa} "No, you do not have to evacuate due to Red. He is not an invader. He was invited to come and live in our Chancel."
{Lesson_the_Black} (That means he knows they can kick his ass...)
{Random_Nerd} (Yep.)
{Random_Nerd} William: "The tree is harmless, at least to humans in Amyra. He was brought here by the specific request of Ymera Kudzu."
{Tarpe} "So, to be clear, this tree...Red...is not a threat?"
{Tarpe} "I see"
{Random_Nerd} (Lesson thinks he might be able to fight an ogre and live, if he had a gun, and maybe some help. Nimblejacks scare him. Shards... he wouldn't even try unless he was ordered to.)
{Walter_Frumm} "Then is an ally as the Fish people are..."

  • Tarpe checks something off in her notes.

{Random_Nerd} William: "Indeed, he may be a useful resource if there is a need for evacuation. He can carry heavy loads, and go across uneven terrain with a surprising amount of speed for something so large."
{Lesson_the_Black} (Does he know about ogres' melee prowess?)
{Theresa} "He is not a threat. He is still trying to understand humans, however."
{Random_Nerd} (Not the fine details, but he knows that if you let an ogre get to grips with you, you've lost.)
{Walter_Frumm} "So some harm can be caused by _misunderstanding_ not an evil intention on it?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "I've seen no reports of harm caused by Red. And I feel sure that they would have crossed my desk."

  • Walter_Frumm call in an attendant and whisper in his hear ".... reevaluate ... possible target T34 threat...."

{Theresa} "As much so as anyone who is not sure on the customs of the land that he is in. And he knows that no harm is to come to the people of the Chancel."
{Lesson_the_Black} "The big tree... is helping the humans who have become trees. He is with the Bureau."
{Random_Nerd} (Lesson, you're uncertain of whether these humans are above or below you in the dominance hierarchy. You know that they command more subordinates than you, but unlike them, you work directly for the Nobles.)
{Theresa} *stern* "And I would not appreciate any harm being caused to Red." *hint hint*
{Lesson_the_Black} (Yeah, but that means I have trump, ne? :) )
{Theresa} (I would think so.)
{Random_Nerd} (Probably, but you're uncertain. The Amyran arrangements are still somewhat alien to you.)
{Lesson_the_Black} (Well, that, and figure years of tormenting humans at his last job...)
{Lesson_the_Black} (Plus, you can't show fear. At all.)
{Random_Nerd} (Yes. Never show fear in the presence of potential rivals.)
{Walter_Frumm} "Ah, speaking of you (William) and your friend, how do you correlate to our hierarchy?"
|{-- Tarpe has left irc2.magicstar.net (Ping timeout)
{Lesson_the_Black} (whoops)
{Walter_Frumm} ( !___! ohhh :-( )
{Theresa} (Always kicking the women out of the military, huh?)
{Random_Nerd} William: "My associate and I are the direct agents of the current Heads of State, and relay their orders, with such discretion for our own choices as they choose to directly grant. It may be useful to think of us as ministers without portfolio."
{Lesson_the_Black} "Ministers.... that... would be acceptable."
{Walter_Frumm} "Are you connected to that other alien organization that have some office here? (camorra)"
{Lesson_the_Black} (spookthesuits spookthesuits spookthesuits... :) )
{Random_Nerd} William: "Ah, a similar arrangement exists with respect to the demon Lesson. He is the second-in-command of a currently absent Noble, and is... no. My associate and I have no connections with them."
{Random_Nerd} William: "It may be productive to think of them as an embassy from a foreign power."
{Lesson_the_Black} (I though I was William's associate)
{Theresa} (No, Sam.)
{Random_Nerd} (He had meant Sam.)
{Lesson_the_Black} (In this context)
{Lesson_the_Black} (I'm actually here with him, though.)
{Random_Nerd} (William always thinks in terms of himself and Sam, even if Sam happens to not be there at the time.)
{Theresa} (That's going to make the wedding night difficult...)
{Walter_Frumm} (lol)
{Lesson_the_Black} (But if the 'suits' think of everyone helping the Nobles as a group....)
{Random_Nerd} (Yeah, they probably do.)
{Random_Nerd} William: "I believe you're familiar with the Bureau of Monstrosities. Lesson has broad discretionary power over its operation. It was partly about that that my employers wished to talk to you, to encourage greater cooperation between your forces and his staff."
{Random_Nerd} William: "They do not wish a repeat of the unfortunate conflict between the Bureau and the Kaerkoven City Police."
{Theresa} "As you have knowledge of the protection of Amyra and he has knowledge of the types of attacks which could come from outside of the Chancel."
{Lesson_the_Black} "Not that it was much of a conflict."
{Walter_Frumm} "We can arrange a combined force, is this your proposal?"
{Theresa} "It is my proposal. Are there any objections you have at the moment?"
{Walter_Frumm} "who lead this force?"
{Lesson_the_Black} (Let's see, a bunch of 3-armed guys, counselors, office staff, techs... who else is in the Bureau?)
{Walter_Frumm} (shrink I think)
{Walter_Frumm} (support personnel: secretaries and like?)
{Random_Nerd} (Ick, a few less common types of people who were changed by the Enchanceling but decided to stay in their new forms.)
{Theresa} (Lesson's flunky.)
{Lesson_the_Black} (the grad student?)
{Theresa} (Indeed. Nice girl.)
{Random_Nerd} (A few satyrs/fauns, for instance. And, yes, some people like Jennifer, liasons between the more freaky parts of the Bureau and the normal people.)
{Random_Nerd} (But, even though Amyra does not have a very large military, the Bureau is still smaller than any of the branches.)
{Lesson_the_Black} (How well has Lesson been doing trying to whip them into fighting shape?)
{Theresa} "Lesson would be a consultant to you and in charge of the Bureau. You would not have authority over him. But he _is_ under our Authority."
{Lesson_the_Black} (And don't forget that he probably has piles of Blades around. :) )
{Random_Nerd} (He's mostly told them what are signs of excrucian/enemy noble attack, and if they see them, they're to contact the Nobles, him, Red, or Sam and William, in order of priority, and give a detailed report. Also, to get the police to try to evacuate the area.)
{Random_Nerd} (They know how to defend themselves from human-scale attacks, but they're not really an army.)
{Walter_Frumm} "So a purely collaboration with two distinct decision path?... uhm I foresee more chaos that help from this two headed beast we want to create"
{Theresa} "I would like to believe that if Lesson told you that a giant monster made of sea kelp and starfish was coming out of the desert and to evacuate immediately, you would heed his advice."
{Lesson_the_Black} (Don't give RN ideas!)
{Random_Nerd} William: "Not that that would ever happen. Giant monsters made of sea kelp generally attack from the ocean."
{Walter_Frumm} "..."

  • Lesson_the_Black looks at William with a is-that-likely? look...

{Random_Nerd} William: "If I may, I believe what Domina Theresa is trying to say is that while Lesson would not have authority over you, you would be expected to take his expertise into account, should a situation arise which would pose an outside-context problem for the conventional armed forces."
{Theresa} (I thought that that would be too obvious of an attack vector for it...)
{Random_Nerd} (But if it came by the desert, the sand would stick to it. It'd just look like a muddy sand-monster.)
{Theresa} (She is also saying Do It or Else.)
{Random_Nerd} (Much less impressive.)
{Theresa} (It would hover.)
{Random_Nerd} William: "And while you would have the authority to disregard his advice, if you did so and it ended badly, I expect you would be required to justify your choices."
{Random_Nerd} William: "Similarly, if he was to tell you to do something, and it turned out that there was no abnormal threat present, he would be required to justify himself."

  • Walter_Frumm stern face "Sure, evacuates the big moster came! This any child will know what to do. But really, I hope the help Lesson can give us is more fine, granular that this cockie cut example"

--}| Verithe (Mibbit@MagicStar-9AA4F9EF.bbtec.net) has joined #Nobilis
{Lesson_the_Black} (WB Verithe, what happened?)
{Theresa} (Everything okay?)
{Verithe} (Gah!)
{Walter_Frumm} (was the pc?)
{Verithe} (No idea....what did I miss?)
{Random_Nerd} (A fair bit. I'll copy-paste it to you, one moment.)
{Walter_Frumm} (me bitching with T e Lesson?)
{Lesson_the_Black} (Lesson ate the generals and is going after the King.)
{Verithe} (PC and everything else on the 'net was fine. Must've been the client)
{Walter_Frumm} (why not try chatzilla or mirc?)
{Theresa} "Well, you may be interested in knowing whether a particular invader is venerable to silver. Or clamshells. Or something that is not in the usual arsenal of a modern military force."
{Verithe} (I'll install chatzilla later, just in case it happens again)

  • Walter_Frumm more open face "_That_ is useful"

{Walter_Frumm} "So we are at war and alien gods will came here to destroy us? Right? Because one of these Gods choose Amyra as a nice looking home base? Right?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "A great deal, too, would be just in knowing how to recognize the difference between a threat you could deal with, and one that could destroy everything."
{Theresa} "They may never come in person. And pretty much. But Amyra has often been a target, due to the Treasures."
{Verithe} (I forgot my name...)
{Random_Nerd} (Tarpe.)
{Walter_Frumm} (Alex?)
=-= Verithe is now known as Tarpe
{Random_Nerd} (Deputy Air Marshal Katherine Tarpe.)
{Lesson_the_Black} (Shnookums.)
{Tarpe} (Thanks.)
{Tarpe} (:P to Angelo)
{Walter_Frumm} (grin to Tarpe)
{Lesson_the_Black} ({-Knockwood/Dante)(
{Theresa} (I prefer Snookums, but Tarpe works.)
{Tarpe} (I'll have to remember to write Shnookums on all important documents from now on)
{Random_Nerd} William: "It's not common knowledge, but the King was personally attacked by one of the enemy while tending to the Treasures, only a few months ago."
{Walter_Frumm} "By said extraOrdinary being?"

  • Lesson_the_Black looks at William... he was?

{Random_Nerd} (During the party, a number of storylines back.)
{Random_Nerd} (And William is simplifying the context.)
{Lesson_the_Black} (I know, but Lesson doesn't)
{Random_Nerd} (Oh, true.)
{Lesson_the_Black} (I'm assuming)
{Random_Nerd} William nods at Lesson.
{Theresa} "By one of their lieutenants. The enemies are of similar power of Lord Kudzu and have their own equivalent of Nobles.
{Theresa} "One attempted to corrupt or steal the Treasures. They were prevented and...liquidated."
{Random_Nerd} (Lesson, this is your cue. One of the more important things you know is how to recognize a shard, and some idea of how to figure out which type it is.)
{Lesson_the_Black} (Thank you...)
{Lesson_the_Black} "I am familiar with these 'Nobles' of theirs.
{Theresa} (If they just stand and grin at you, possibly by steepling their fingers and muttering 'Just as planned' you either have a Strat or a GM...)
{Random_Nerd} (Similarly, you know about Anchoring, and how the Shards can use it to subvert anyone who drinks their blood or tears.)
{Lesson_the_Black} "They are extremely dangerous."
{Walter_Frumm} "being from hell?"
{Lesson_the_Black} "No... they are from ... outside.
{Lesson_the_Black} "They are stronger than even me and the Bureau.
{Tarpe} "Outside what?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "Everything."

  • Lesson_the_Black isn't really sure... just 'outside'.

{Tarpe} "I'm afraid I don't understand"
{Walter_Frumm} "Everything? I don't get it"
{Random_Nerd} William: "Behind the sky. To the west of the sunset and the east of the sunrise. I'm not sure of how exactly that works, but it's one of the few things we do know about them."
{Walter_Frumm} (T. is time for a nice graphical plant made planetarium with the wall, the tree and all)
{Lesson_the_Black} "If I or a Noble tells you one of these 'Nobles' is nearby... leave. Run."
{Brian} (... ... ... x * x^-1 = 1 ... ... ... Outside = Creation^-1? More to the point, since Creation was later, Creation is Outside's inverse... ... ... hm... I'm trying now to come up with some clever matrix notation for Inside and Outside.)
{Lesson_the_Black} "Only our Nobles can fight them."
{Tarpe} "Behind the sky? You're joking. Do you mean beyond the solar system?"
{Random_Nerd} (Hmm. Creation is the number line, and Outside is the complex plane, perhaps?)
{Lesson_the_Black} (Let's see, Lesson sees the Tree, right?)
{Random_Nerd} (He has seen it on two or three occasions.)
{Random_Nerd} (Plus, the roots, in Hell.)
{Random_Nerd} William: "Say... from another dimension."
{Theresa} (LC of a box with a lid under the table)
{Theresa} "I blieve a demonstration is in order?"
{Lesson_the_Black} (Brian: OK, draw a plane on a sheet of paper. Then crumple up said paper, light it on fire, and throw it at a cop. That's 'Outside'. :) )
{Random_Nerd} William: "They can tear holes into our world, and come in to attack it."
{Tarpe} "Another dimension..."

  • Tarpe scribbles notes

{Random_Nerd} William: "The main function of my employers is to deal with such attacks."

  • Lesson_the_Black trying hard to not get nervous...
  • Theresa lifts the box out and places it on the table. "This contains a holographic version of the Universe."

{Walter_Frumm} "So aliens as I said before..."
{Brian} (well, Outside being the Complex Plane would necessarily include everything in Creation, however in the metaphysics of Nobilis, so far as we - characters - know, they're sort of separate. Hence, inverses kinda work. What's here is not there, what's there is not here.)

  • Walter_Frumm peer on the box
  • Theresa allows the box to collapse and ghostmiracles a small version of the Ash.

{Random_Nerd} (Hmm. What's the best metaphor, I wonder?)
{Walter_Frumm} (a Charleston theater with excru as dancers?)
{Brian} (I dunno. I think I've figured out what Brian's trying to do: prove Creation and Outside. Perhaps for the purpose of defining Outside to a degree that we can figure things out... hm. I'm making my head hurt.)
{Theresa} "This is the World Tree, the Ash, upon which all of the worlds hang. A Wall surrounds the Tree. Outside of that Wall is where the Enemy comes from."
{Walter_Frumm} "Who is Entropy?"
{Random_Nerd} (Or, how about this. Creation is the number line, and Outside is dividing by zero. It's "undefined".)
{Walter_Frumm} (ops miss read)
{Brian} (well, we know you can divide by zero Outside ... at least, when Brian's around to give "0" meaning)
{Walter_Frumm} "And this tree and all how relate to us?"
{Random_Nerd} William points to one of the "fruits" hanging from the tree: "You Are Here."
{Walter_Frumm} "seem some pagan world view"
{Tarpe} "Is there some sort of report we could read?"
{Random_Nerd} He points at the roots: "Hell."
{Random_Nerd} He points at the top: "Heaven."

  • Theresa looks to William. "Do the Aides have a 'So, you've been Enchanceled pamphlet?"

{Random_Nerd} William: "I know this sounds like odd religious fantasies, but I have talked to people who have personally seen this tree, and been to other worlds."
{Walter_Frumm} "How? a single fruit contain heart? Or Amyra?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "Not really. All chancels are so different from each other."
{Theresa} "A single fruit is the Earth. Amyra but a seed on the strawberry. Each spot, each branch a place with people."
{Theresa} (And you know, you're standing next to a demon from Hell...)
{Lesson_the_Black} "I have seen this tree. From below."
{Random_Nerd} William: "You know how, early this year, Amyra became separate from the rest of the world? The borderlands sprung up and filled with vines and jungles?"
{Tarpe} "So planets hang on this tree?"
{Walter_Frumm} "And space travel jump from fruit to fruit then?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "That was a thing that Ymera Kudzu did, to protect it and give himself a home base. We are only partially on Earth."
{Theresa} *to Tarpe* "What would you want in the report?"
{Lesson_the_Black} "The roots are the size of your mountains... at the tips.
{Theresa} "Space travel in the normal world would not get to these other worlds. You must travel via a different path."
{Random_Nerd} (Tarpe, you know that attempts to send scout airplanes across the borderlands just reveal endless miles of jungle, and no sign of the rest of the world.)
{Lesson_the_Black} "Sometimes they would show us a view of it all... to show us how lowly we were."
{Walter_Frumm} "my head spin a bit. Is really a big chuck to shallow"
{Walter_Frumm} So each fruit is a ... dimension?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "Each fruit is a world. Some are planets, some are not."
{Random_Nerd} William: "The enemy come from a place outside of the entire tree."
{Tarpe} "It seems our entire perspective of reality is being called into question. If this tree *motions to the box*, other dimensions and these...'gods'...are true, I'd like to be able to read up on them.
{Walter_Frumm} "Then Mercury , Pluto and all the milk way are into or outside a fruit?"

  • Theresa smiles. "Both."

{Random_Nerd} William: "In a sense, they're in the same 'fruit' that we are."

  • Tarpe nods to William.
  • Walter_Frumm shallow

{Lesson_the_Black} (Technically the solar system is part of 'Earth', right?)
{Random_Nerd} (Yes.)
{Theresa} *to Tarpe* "We can put something together." *to William* "William, can you please remind me to ask Ftisk if he can put together a report of data on the changes from the Enchanceling and joining the War?"
{Random_Nerd} (And when most non-human Nobles talk about "Earth" they'll mean the whole thing, with the few non-Earth chancels on other planets and so on included.)
{Walter_Frumm} (Ftisk can!)
{Random_Nerd} William: "Yes, I will do so."
{Walter_Frumm} "Ftisk is the robot guy?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "Often."
{Walter_Frumm} "Often?"
{Theresa} "Yes. His more preferred form is that of a metal snail. He is the Noble of Metal and Data and is from a different Chancel."
{Lesson_the_Black} (He'd be known more as a floating snail, ne?)

  • Walter_Frumm sweat... a lot

{Random_Nerd} (Yeah, probably.)
{Lesson_the_Black} (Machinery, not metal. :) )
{Walter_Frumm} (details!)
{Tarpe} "Domina, please forgive me if that isn't the proper title to use, but could you please tell me what the Air Force should be looking for? I'm not even certain how something could get in."
{Theresa} (Oh, retcon. Sorry about that.)
{Walter_Frumm} "we can have the robot to study?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "One thing you would be best able to do is watch the borderlands. Anything that comes through would do so from there."
{Theresa} "This is not a...secure Chancel, I guess you could call it. There are some that are impossible to enter without being invited within. We are connected to the 'normal' world through passageways through the vines. It is possible that someone could use them to come and visit us."
{Random_Nerd} William: "Many of the enemies are not technologically sophisticated, and would not be aware of the speed at which your planes can move. You would stand the best chance of seeing one of them and either delaying it or escaping to give a full report."
{Lesson_the_Black} (And every now and then something Godzilla-sized might come through...
{Lesson_the_Black} (You could fire missiles at it to slow it down so the disbelieved scientist and his plucky sidekick can get the techno-whatsit into placer. :) )
{Random_Nerd} William: "Admiral, you would be best able to detect and respond to with enemies that came by sea. In the case of the attack that brought the fish-people to Amyra, the enemy came by water."

  • Tarpe writes this down.

{Theresa} (Or maybe a rabbit will fall from the sky...)
{Random_Nerd} William: "General, your main role would be dealing with human-scale enemies that managed to get within the borders, or delaying larger enemies so that civilians could be evacuated."

  • Walter_Frumm light a big fat smelling cigar

{Tarpe} ("About that rabbit, Domina....")
{Brian} (they've seen the rabbit before. When it was smaller)
{Walter_Frumm} "Big like the moonrabbit?"
{Lesson_the_Black} (Or, they could probably fight their lieutenants or troops...)
{Random_Nerd} William: "Either physically large, like it, or supernaturally powerful, like Theresa."
{Walter_Frumm} "And the extend of a supernaturally powerful powers are?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "Lesson will be giving you a list of the most common types. There are four main classes of enemy, each with distinctive methods."
{Lesson_the_Black} (Those are the four types of Excrucian?)
{Theresa} "The one that attacked the king could...negate reality. It literally turned his voice box to dust. We fixed it."
{Random_Nerd} (Yep.)
{Lesson_the_Black} (... then how would Lesson know what Nobles don't?)

  • Walter_Frumm look impressed... but trying to feign calm

{Random_Nerd} (Well, I figure he knows the basics. Warmains are often found on horseback, or with archaic weapons. They favor physically destructive techniques.)
{Lesson_the_Black} (Ah, OK.)
{Random_Nerd} (Strategists tend towards oddly angular or skinny forms, act with obvious sadism, destroy physical or immaterial things.)
{Random_Nerd} (And so on.)

  • Lesson_the_Black makes a note to bring the generals a copy of the Big Book of Spotting Excrucians

{Random_Nerd} (It's not perfect, but Lesson knows more than the armed forces do.)
{Tarpe} "I suppose this would be a better question for the Ministry of Monstrosities, but the sudden appearance of new beings has some of our men spooked. We've even had reports of a flying, rabbit headed snake near one of our bases. Is there any list of what beings we could consider friendly?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "Anything that looks like a dragon or a serpent is very likely friendly."
{Walter_Frumm} (not s snail!)
{Random_Nerd} William: "How large was this snake?"
{Lesson_the_Black} (Does the Bureau know about the flying serpent?)
{Random_Nerd} (This is the first you've heard of it.)
{Theresa} (I don't remember this one either...Okay, Kite, have you been messing with the natives? ^^ )
{Tarpe} "The report was vague on that point. Shall I investigate?"
{Tarpe} (Something Kudzu made a while back when he was the face on the giant bunny box.)
{Lesson_the_Black} to Theresa: "We haven't heard of any 'rabbit-headed snakes'..."
{Lesson_the_Black} (Oh yeah, one of them liked Dante)
{Random_Nerd} (Oh, way back?)
{Lesson_the_Black} (But they were small...)
{Theresa} (Wait...I think I remember...a little tiny one?)
{Tarpe} (Yeah)
{Tarpe} (There were tiny ant Barakiels, too)

  • Theresa thinks. *to Tarpe* "How big were they?"

{Theresa} (Worse than fire ants...)
{Tarpe} "The...report didn't say. Shall I investigate?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "Yes, please do so. If it's large, at least the size of a bus, then it could be a powerful supernatural creature. If it's smaller than that, it's probably a... less powerful magical creature. In either case, please send reports to me and to the Bureau."

  • Tarpe nods and makes a note.

{Theresa} "I have a vague recollection of Lord Kudzu making a tiny one, back before the rabbit was sent to the moon. That may be it."
{Tarpe} "Could you please...explain Lord Kudzu?"
{Random_Nerd} William opens his mouth, closes it, and turns to look at Theresa.
{Walter_Frumm} "one question, lord Kudzu as our Lord? or is only a title?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "Shall I handle this one, or do you wish to?"
{Theresa} "I'll take it and if I miss something that is important for nonNobles to know, slip that in?"
{Random_Nerd} He nods.

  • Walter_Frumm do a circle with the smoke waiting
  • Lesson_the_Black is kinda wondering this himself...

{Walter_Frumm} Lesson want learn to do circle with the smoke?)
{Lesson_the_Black} (No, about what exactly Kudzu is...)
{Theresa} "Kudzu is a Wildlord. Calling him a force of nature would be a vast understatement. The Estates that my family and I guard are part of him. He is the reason that plants exist on Earth. Numbers, Courage, etc. Lord is a way of showing respect, just as you would not call King John 'Johnny boy.' He also has the titles Imperator or Ymera." (more)
{Theresa} "If he wanted to, he could remove the powers he has given us and leave Amyra. But he has placed himself within this Chancel. He _chose_ Amyra out of all other places."
{Theresa} (How's that?  :) )
{Random_Nerd} William: "It might be useful to think of him as an angel. Do you know how the medievals broke down angels into different types, cherubim and seraphim and all that?"
{Theresa} "He has never been human and he doesn't necessarily understand humans. But he loves Creation and wishes it to continue."
{Tarpe} "Why?"
{Tarpe} "I'm afraid I am unversed in specific angelology."
{Walter_Frumm} "I know a bit"
{Walter_Frumm} "All what is in the holy bible a least"
{Lesson_the_Black} (Wait, they're _Amyran_. Wouldn't they know?)
{Random_Nerd} (Depends how religious they are. Bear in mind, William was a medieval literature major before he joined the Aides.)
{Random_Nerd} William: "He is not, precisely speaking, an angel. But he is of a very similar class of being. I have met one angel, and they seemed to be peers. Lesson has met several angels. Did they seem similar to Kudzu to you, Lesson?"

  • Walter_Frumm is _really_ interested in the angel’s infos

{Lesson_the_Black} "The Angels I met... they were more presences than beings. As is Kudzu. And ... Lord Barakiel."
{Theresa} (I've met three angels. They're all bugbleeping nuts.)
{Lesson_the_Black} "Kudzu is certainly more ... random/"

  • Tarpe shifts uncomfortably. "Random?"

{Theresa} "Wildlords, like Lord Kudzu, follow a Code. Part of that Code is that sanity is a crutch."
{Walter_Frumm} "But who is the head of the angels?"
{Random_Nerd} William has the "I hoped you wouldn't mention that bit" look.
{Theresa} (Yeah, I know, _great_ thing to tell the military.)
{Walter_Frumm} "Wait!. What?"
{Brian} (... At least Brian's not there?)
{Tarpe} "Are you saying our nation has been claimed by a crazy angel?"
{Lesson_the_Black} (Reminds me of a webcomic: "Got you a t-shirt, 'Kinda Crazy'." "More of a warning than a statement, isn't it?" "Well, they didn't have one that said 'Slap-Ass Nuts'."  :D )
{Theresa} (At least Dante isn't there. ^^ )
{Theresa} "He's not crazy!"
{Brian} (well, Brian /is/ crazy. A little. Sometimes.)
{Random_Nerd} William: "I would say that, by the standards that apply to those angels I have knowledge of, Kudzu is reliable and safe."
{Theresa} (*gives William an Aide treat*)

  • Tarpe looks doubtful.

{Lesson_the_Black} (Is that similar to a Scooby Snack? :) )
{Walter_Frumm} "We are the cattle of a crazy being fighting more alien beings that want all us death and our dimension destroyed!?!?"
{Theresa} "He is dealing with things that you can't wrap even a tiny part of your brain around. To have to be confined to what we would call sanity would probably cause all of his work to collapse."
{Random_Nerd} William: "He follows certain principles which might strike us as odd. But if you judge him by what he does, he has acted to protect Amyra from harm, and has several times expressed a fondness for it and its people in my presence."
{Walter_Frumm} "Joy"
{Lesson_the_Black} (and I'm in trouble now...)
{Random_Nerd} (Not as much as Theresa?)

  • Tarpe writes notes.

{Theresa} "And we are lucky that he has chosen us and cares about us." *looks stern*
{Walter_Frumm} (Does Frumm have nuclear weapons?)
{Lesson_the_Black} (Lesson's having real trouble dealing with what you're reminding him of...)
{Random_Nerd} William: "A dog might well consider his master to be crazy, because he does many things that do not make sense to the dog. But in spite of that, he could know that his master is a good man, who treats him well."
{Random_Nerd} William: "I think of Ymera Kudzu in that way. He is a being a little outside of my understanding, but he acts in ways that seem good."
{Brian} (military people really like being compared to canines.)
{Random_Nerd} (Bah. Our only canine NPC was pretty cool. Bigots!)
{Walter_Frumm} "well, we are the dog of master Kudzu..."
{Lesson_the_Black} (PC)
{Random_Nerd} (Not counting Snow.)
{Theresa} "You are not slaves. You are not trapped."
{Random_Nerd} (Who was only /sometimes/ canine.)
{Lesson_the_Black} (Oh yeah, the one we gave to Ofaniel)
{Walter_Frumm} "But we can't leave"
{Walter_Frumm} (snow was at time canine)
{Theresa} "Do you wish to leave Amyra?"

  • Tarpe looks for someone to grab her a glass of water and an Asperin."

{Walter_Frumm} "No, I *love* Amyra, but anyone must know and make a choice"
{Lesson_the_Black} (I could make a crude joke here about male & female choices... }:} )
{Random_Nerd} (I'm getting tired, shall we stop soon?)
{Walter_Frumm} (aka how mass emigration start)
{Brian} (it's just hanging there...)
{Walter_Frumm} (no problem RN)
{Lesson_the_Black} (Well, have we accomplished anything?)
{Brian} (do we ever accomplish anything? :p)
{Walter_Frumm} (yep we tell some generals that are Kudzu’s dogs)
{Tarpe} (I'm curious what's become of all the foreign embassies in Amyra, but I don't think it's a matter Tarpe is concerned with)
{Random_Nerd} (I think they have a better understanding of their roles in post-Chancel Amyra, and have at least implicitly agreed to work with it.)
{Theresa} (I have stuck my foot so far down my mouth that it's coming out the other end...)
{Random_Nerd} (Hmm. We should do something with them, some time.)
{Random_Nerd} (Theresa is a PC. It's expected.)
{Theresa} (I think the Marines would like the thought of being ferocious guard dogs.)
{Theresa} (At least this time I've caused less physical destruction of the town...)
{Walter_Frumm} (uhm... need to think a bit on this)
{Lesson_the_Black} (Heh. Maybe Dante should barge in... :) )
{Tarpe} (was there anything that you wanted us to be asking, RN?)
{Random_Nerd} William: "At any rate, I believe my employer has business elsewhere soon, and needs to prepare to do battle with the enemy."
{Random_Nerd} William: "Did you have any questions or concerns, before she goes?"
{Walter_Frumm} "One, who the chief of the Angels is?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "As I understand it, there is not a single chief, but there is a ruling council."
{Lesson_the_Black} "Does it _matter_?"

  • Walter_Frumm shallow

{Walter_Frumm} "Yes for ma a lest"
{Tarpe} "It is helpful to know the chain of command."
{Walter_Frumm} "A council of _peers_?"
{Theresa} "They have no leader but they do acknowledge birth order."

  • Walter_Frumm shrug

{Random_Nerd} William: "I'll defer to my employer, who has greater knowledge of the governance of Heaven."
{Lesson_the_Black} "Do you expect to meet them soon?
{Walter_Frumm} "The fight will be here?"
{Random_Nerd} William: "Elsewhere. They will be assisting another nobl... a similar being to themselves."
{Walter_Frumm} "uhm... not here this time"
{Theresa} "The Ash willing, the more powerful of the Enemy will never come here. Their shards may. Imperators, if they wish to come here, they may, but I doubt that we would know unless Lord Kudzu lets us know."
{Random_Nerd} William: "At any rate, I and Lesson will be available to answer any further questions you might have about these matters."
{Random_Nerd} (Anything else before we stop?)
{Tarpe} "Thank you, Domina, for your time."
{Walter_Frumm} "We need to concert some early border defense and a consolidation plan"
{Walter_Frumm} "Thank you ... Domina"
{Theresa} "I'm glad we could get together on this. It is my pleasure to help out the Chancel."
{Theresa} (Hah! Score one for me! ^^ )
{Random_Nerd} Admiral S: "Yes. Thank you. Ah, Domina."
{Theresa} (And in my own rp-ing way, I have 'earned' my Realm point. ^^ )

  • Walter_Frumm go to Will and quietly ask "Are you willing to talk a bit of theology another time?"

{Lesson_the_Black} (Might have been better as 'help out Amyra'... )
{Random_Nerd} William nods.

{Random_Nerd} Okay, so this session was a bit different. What did you think of the "pick an NPC and play out the scene" method?
{Angelo} I like this session!
{BethE} Ooo, yes, let him meet an Angel and sass one. ^^
{lazarus} Amusement.
{Angelo} and managed to not shatter religious belief of Frumm to! :-D
{BethE} I feel guilty for taking everyone's time...
{Verithe} It was an enjoyable change of pace. :)
{Knockwood} Interesting, though with Lesson being... well, at the rank he is he couldn't do much. But that's my fault./
{lazarus} Prompted T to even more foot-in-mouth syndrome than I suspect just GM-playing would be :p
{BethE} At least he didn't ask if God or Jesus or Buddha or etc existed...
{Knockwood} (_Don't_ give RN ideas, Beth! :) )
{Angelo} Frumm was afraid to ask
{Random_Nerd} So, would you guys like future scenes which had you playing NPCs, if your PCs weren't present?
{BethE} (Or, I give RN plenty of ideas. We live together. I could comment on the scent of the soap in the bathroom and he'd get an idea.)
{Knockwood} Sure...
{Random_Nerd} (Hmm...)
{Angelo} Nobilis is the game where God, Jesus and Buddha meet weekly in a bar
{BethE} (It's honeysuckle, by the way.)
{Knockwood} and discuss how nutty those Scientologists are
{Random_Nerd} (Hm...)
{Verithe} (Almost as invasive as kudzu)
{Random_Nerd} (*steeples fingers*)
{lazarus} ("all according to plan"?)
{Random_Nerd} (That's later.)
{Angelo} yep I like this session and changing cloth for a bit :-(
{Random_Nerd} (First, I need to have the plan.)
{BethE} (He doesn't have a potato chip...)
{lazarus} I tend to prefer watching if my character isn't around. Not exactly sure why that is, but it is a thing.
{Random_Nerd} That's fine.
{lazarus} (he needs a potato chip to plan?)
{Angelo} but just _one_?
{Random_Nerd} (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaoy1QKxGQs)
{Random_Nerd} (Aspect 7 potato-chip eating.)
{Verithe} (Hilarious)
{Random_Nerd} Anyway, good job with your characters, everyone.
{Angelo} jumping to time.. day 27 we change our clock an our backward. when do yo change?
{Random_Nerd} I liked how you fleshed out the NPCs.
{Knockwood} http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHpM5US2HDs
{lazarus} no idea on time change.
{Knockwood} I think we change clocks this coming weekend...
{Knockwood} afk a minute
{Random_Nerd} Oh, you have no idea how much the "I drink your milkshake" has been in my mind in property class, as we went over cases dealing with oil and natural gas.
{lazarus} I need to find a copy of Planescape: Torment. It seems so ... open ended.
{Random_Nerd} Great game.
{Verithe} I was felt that Tarpe would be afraid that expressing her concerns about the lack of purpose for the Air Force would be a sign of weakness to the other military departments.
{Verithe} So I was trying to be round-about.
{lazarus} Never got it the first time around. Really doubt I'll ever be able to find it (legally, I mean)
{Random_Nerd} *nod* Good job with that.
{Angelo} My one was a bit too ... too?
{Random_Nerd} You still sometimes see it for five bucks in the cheap software bin, packaged with some rather lame game.
{Random_Nerd} Nah, it worked.

  • Angelo bow

{lazarus} yeah, we don't have any cheap software bins around, anymore.
{Angelo} and on eBay? a search for this game what return?
{Knockwood} bak
{lazarus} I'm not sure I trust eBay for video games :p
{Angelo} so next week you maybe will be a hour before me?
{Knockwood} It occurred to me that we know nothing about what Lesson did before he wound up in the box
{Random_Nerd} Indeed.
{Angelo} eh, how not like your position Knock
{Knockwood} laz: well, look at the seller's feedback.
{Random_Nerd} It involved human souls, and he was picked for "having a good sense of proportion."
{Random_Nerd} And that's about it.
{Angelo} er, Laz, I meand Laz
{Knockwood} You want a nich high number for both score and % positive
{BethE} Oh, huh, it's March 14th for us.
{Verithe} So next week will be an hour later for me?
{Knockwood} Beth: don't forget Dubya signed a bill extending it a few weeks
{Verithe} Earlier, I mean...
{Verithe} Don't want to be two hours late...
{Random_Nerd} Heh.
{Knockwood} Yeah, I think you and Angelo will need to come 1 hour earlier, at least until your clocks get changed
{Verithe} Ours don't change.
{Angelo} me too K
{Random_Nerd} Ah.
{Random_Nerd} Will that time work for you?
{Verithe} Of course. :)
{Angelo} yep for me, I will set alarm to 2Am instead of 3am
{Random_Nerd} Okay, good.
{Random_Nerd} See you then.
{lazarus} 'night guys, until next week.
{Random_Nerd} Good job tonight, everyone.
{Knockwood} g'night laz
{Knockwood} thank ya RN
{Verithe} Take care!
{Angelo} night all1

{Verithe} Night, Beth!
{Angelo} Night Beth!

{Angelo} uhm, seem plausible
{Knockwood} well, you advancing and Dante saying no, that is
{Angelo} well, I leave. night K, night V
{Knockwood} Then again he may be throwing knives around...

Chapter 19
