{BethE} And she can't pull off more of the root things unless I dip into the other miracle points.

{BethE} Well, it basically took away 1 point out of each of my Attributes. It was described in a rather horrific fashion.

{Theresa} I had been thinking about creating some kind of attack gift but couldn't come up with something that I liked/wanted.

{Knockwood} going by that chart and the rules in that column, it looks like I can make the Deadly wound go away by spending an AMP.

{Davidson} T: a good attack gift for Theresa as I (the player) see her: create a tree (with lots of protection...) around the victim to trap them in place. Handy since it doesn't actually affect the person ... though it doesn't do damage, sadly.

{Theresa} And Theresa didn't suffer a Deadly wound. I don't think an AMP would help her get rid of Unmastered Pain.

- Ftisk return to female semblances... tentaclemonster is not effective as combat form...
{DanteE} and I can recreate the 2 he lost once Ftisk's machine collects all the parts, right?
{Davidson} (Does Davidson have any equipment, or did we think that that would just encourage him to do something stupid?)
{Random_Nerd} (He has his uniform, a camera, a notepad and pen. No guns.)

{Random_Nerd} Hmm. How much time does Dante's gift allow to have passed before it stops working? I think you upgraded it at some point, right?

{Random_Nerd} Hmm... then, yes. Ftisk's machine will have been able to gather up enough to heal within a day, if nobody interferes with it.
{Theresa} (And Davidson's in the chariot with Theresa. Chariot is being pulled by Horse.)
{Random_Nerd} (In that case, healing within a minute would take 4 AMPs.)

- Davidson will be playing a bit reporter-like, noting answers to questions, for later documentation into Files.

{Random_Nerd} Ken: "Pretty close, for me. Catch one alone, poke him with the spear, and then outsource the actual killing."
{Theresa} *to Davidson* "They all seem to go out in different ways. The one which tried to attack the Treasures turned into a puddle of acid."
{DanteE} "How did you get that blade, anyway?"
- Davidson muttering to himself "puddle ... of ... acid..."
{Theresa} "This was the Excrucian who destroyed King John's voice box."
{Ftisk} whooooooosh (/me gather pieces)
{Random_Nerd} Ken: "Lucky. One of my early hunts, one that I had help for. Shard lost his knife, I grabbed it and stabbed him with it, and I was surprised that it actually /worked/."
{Random_Nerd} In the distance, there's a barking sound.
- DanteE looks over the Roman sword he got from the Shard...
{DanteE} "Reinforcements coming."
{Random_Nerd} Pretty standard gladius shape, but the quality of the steel and the honing of the edge suggest that it was made by someone with more than human forging and sharpening ability.
{Random_Nerd} It's just a mundane sword, but it's one of the nicest ones you've ever seen that you didn't create personally with a miracle.
{Davidson} "Dante, Ken, do you mind if I take pictures of those?"
{DanteE} "Don't think this is Abhorrent..."
{Ftisk} (whooooosh)
{Random_Nerd} (If it was abhorrent, you'd be able to tell. It'd just be obvious, at least when you were holding it.)
{DanteE} "All right, decision time. Do we go after the other three?"
{Random_Nerd} A small cloud of dust appears on the left shoulder of the highway, moving your way.
{Ftisk} (stop, change hound gathering sack, restart)
{Ftisk} "I'm for a least take one more"
{Random_Nerd} Ken: "Fine by me."
{DanteE} "Theresa, Kite, how badly did you get hit?"
{Ftisk} "Please Kite, move a bit left, I need to clean here..."

{Random_Nerd} Ken: "And we've already killed one. We pretty much have to get the rest, or they'll get us, probably with extra reinforcements because they're mad."
{Kite} "I might be able to see my liver..."
{Random_Nerd} K: "At least now, we're armed and ready."

- Kite cocks his head toward the dust cloud. "Are those on our side?"
{DanteE} (And really, you should at least be Durant)
{Random_Nerd} (It certainly comes in handy, at least.)
{DanteE} "I summoned the local dogs."
{Random_Nerd} Ken: "Handy."
{Ftisk} (gathering tool do happy "ding dong!" sound)
{Random_Nerd} The dogs trot into view.
{Ftisk} "Here, we have all the hounds piece Dante!"
{DanteE} "Got all the pieces, Ftisk?"
{Random_Nerd} None of them are wearing collars, all seem to have been on the streets for a while.
- Theresa lcs a pad of linen bandages and hands them to Kite.
{Ftisk} "yep in these three sacks"
- Ftisk give the sacks to Dante
{DanteE} "Sort out which pieces are which, if you would..."
{Ftisk} "sure!"
{Kite} "Thank you, Theresa! Tell me if there's anything you need."
{Random_Nerd} You have one small terrier-like creature, three generic mid-sized mutts, one vaguely bulldog-like animal, and what looks for all the world like a purebred whippet.
{DanteE} "Then again the fact that I'm holding sacks of dog pieces tells you how dangerous this is.
- Ftisk sort out the pieces
- Kite proceeds to wrap his wounds.
{DanteE} "Ken, what can you do with these guys? (the new dogs)"
{Random_Nerd} Ken: "It would take a while to train them, but they look like they have potential."
{DanteE} "They should acknowledge me as Pack Leader..."
{Theresa} (The terrier...it's a killer I tell you!)
{Random_Nerd} The dogs stare at Dante expectantly.
{Random_Nerd} The terrier scratches itself.
{Random_Nerd} The whippet seems almost to trot in place.
{Random_Nerd} Ken walks over to them, slowly.
- DanteE spends the AMPs to heal in a minute
{Random_Nerd} K: "Will they bite?"
{DanteE} "Hold on..."
- DanteE Ghost-Courage miracle to have them acknowledge Ken and the rest of us as Alphas
- Davidson to T "are those magic dogs?"
{DanteE} to Davidson: "No, they're the local strays."
{Theresa} "No, I don't think so. I think that Dante just called some of the most courageous creatures in the area."
{Random_Nerd} (Only the Terrier. That's actually the Power of Knitting in deep cover.)
- Ftisk made 2 pile of dog flesh bits
{DanteE} "Now let's see if this works...
{Davidson} (:D)
{Davidson} (epic win if that's the case, RN)
{Random_Nerd} So far, the machine has found about 5% of one dog, and 4% of the other.
- DanteE goes over to the first pile and tries to heal the dog.
{DanteE} (... scratch that.)
{Davidson} (Perhaps the Power of Knitting is cheesed at having not been invited?)
{Ftisk} (oh, I believed that the dogs where all recovered)
{Random_Nerd} (He's a good Noble to have in a fight. 's got Abhorrent Needles.)
{Theresa} (Quit needling him...)
{DanteE} (:rimshot:)
{Random_Nerd} (The machine is making progress, but it'll take hours to get all it can get.)
{DanteE} "Kite, Theresa, you up for a fight?"
{Ftisk} (oh, then I think we don't have so much time)
{Random_Nerd} Ken: "So, do any of you have some way of spotting where our friends are, or do we pick a place to fortify and wait for them to come to us?"
{DanteE} (Did I get an image of where they were from the Div?)
{Ftisk} (don't forget we are also waiting for highway helps)
{Kite} (We never asked Papa Legba for help)
{DanteE} (I didn't ask him for help yet, but we can.)
{Ftisk} (ok, then we are not waiting for them)
{Ftisk} "We can ask Highway to send help. Each hand is useful in the battle"
{Theresa} "I'm in a lot of pain. I've never given birth but I have the sudden urge to pull a small child out of the nearest male eye socket for some sympathetic pain. But I can still move."
{Random_Nerd} (You know where they /were/, the last time the one who had the sword was near them.)
{Random_Nerd} (If they're still there, you know where they are.)
{Kite} to Ftisk: "It's a good thing you've decided to go female."
{Ftisk} (is a starting point then, plus rites to track them)
{Ftisk} "Thank you Kite, I believe boobs stay well on me"
{DanteE} "I've got a bead on where they were.
{Ftisk} "Also..." starring at Dante "Maybe someone will start to look at me ..." *wink*
{Kite} "I would like to take some time to tend to my wounds a bit more thoroughly, but I am also ready in case the fight comes to us."
{DanteE} "So... do you want to bring in reinforcements? Papa Legba said he might send help is we need it."
{Kite} "Ken is the host of our Hunt. He seemed to prefer that we didn't ask for more help."
{Random_Nerd} K: "I think we can do this without him. Besides, I'd rather have him owe me a favor."
{Theresa} "I think that we're a least down most of what I can do to help. Tying up just that one shard has worn me out and I don't know if I can punch through defences like his again."
{DanteE} "That's what Ken's knife should do..."
- DanteE does a quick LDiv on the knife to see what he can do with it...
{Ftisk} "This round first we hit him with the abhorrent, then start to punch him in the face"
{Random_Nerd} (It's a Focus, for the Negative Gift. No other Gifts. It's strong enough to trump Sacrosanct, but not Immortal.)
{Kite} "And then jump back in case of another explosion."
{DanteE} "Whoa...
{Random_Nerd} (Also, it's indestructible.)
{DanteE} "Did you know that knife has the Negative Gift?"
{Random_Nerd} K: "Yeah. That's the point. If it was just some knife, why would I bother with it?"
{Random_Nerd} K: "Without that, I'd have no real chance on these hunts."
{DanteE} "We've been on the business end of that gift. You could use it from a distance."
{Ftisk} "Ken, are you a Noble?"
{Random_Nerd} K: "That's a slightly complicated question. As near as I can tell, the answer is 'no.'"
{Random_Nerd} The bulldog snorts.
{Kite} "Imperator shard?"
{Random_Nerd} K: "Those exist?"
{Ftisk} "And what are you? An empowered anchor?"
{DanteE} "... Anchor?"
{Ftisk} "Yes exists"
{Kite} "I dunno. "I'm guessing."
{DanteE} (jinx)
{Random_Nerd} K: "Okay, you know the whole Odin thing, stick a spear through your chest and hang for a week on an ash tree?"
{Theresa} "You used the Ash?"
{Random_Nerd} K: "I did that, once. In my defense, I was severely drunk at the time."
{Theresa} (You can hear the capital letter.)
{Random_Nerd} K: "No, not the big one. I didn't know about it back then."
{Random_Nerd} K: "But, anyway... it worked."
{Theresa} (I'm sure the first Odin was too.)
{DanteE} "Not sure what's more amazing, that you managed to empower yourself or that you were drunk for a week."
{Random_Nerd} K: "Now, I don't know why it did. As near as I can tell, there isn't actually an Odin, although I've been able to find analogues for a few folks from those myths."
{Random_Nerd} K: "Oh, I sobered up pretty fast. But after that, I was stuck upside down on a tree with a spear through my chest."
{Random_Nerd} K: "I... didn't really have many options."
{Theresa} "So, are you connected to any Imperator?"
{DanteE} (Got it! He's the Godwalker of The Fool!)
{Random_Nerd} K: "Not as far as I know."
{Random_Nerd} K: "If there is one, he's not shown up."
{Davidson} (Dante: isn't that Unknown Armies? ...)
{DanteE} (yep)
{Ftisk} (we are in heavy crossover territory?)
{DanteE} "... are you actually able to use the Negative Gift?"
{Random_Nerd} K: "It's a Focus. Anyone can use those. I bet you could train a dog to, if it could hold the Focus."
{Davidson} (admittedly, UA and Nobilis are ... not really all that different. I could see UA as being low-key Nobilis ...)
{Theresa} (I can see St. Germaine and Entropy having snarky tea parties.)
{Random_Nerd} K: "So, yeah. That one list of Odin's charms? I can do those. Well, I haven't actually seen any witches flying around, so I don't know about that one, but the others work. And the thing is... they aren't really very useful, most of them,"
{Random_Nerd} K: "But I make do as best I can."
{DanteE} "OK... we have 3 bad guys out there somewhere. We’re a little bit hurt, but he have offensive capabilities, and if we move now we may have surprise."
- Davidson is writing all of this down, of course. Especially emphasized since The Nobles don't seem to know what's going on with this guy.
{DanteE} (Uhoh. Somebody might just try what he did.)
{Theresa} "Have you tried to make your own rune stuff?"
{Random_Nerd} K: "Don't know how. Wagner doesn't actually give what you might call an instruction manual."
{Random_Nerd} K: "So I have a magic switchblade on a stick."
{Random_Nerd} K: "But, yeah. I've been interested in you guys for a bit, because you've made deals with Jan ben Jan, and I'm pretty sure he's Mimir. Ftisk there even gave up an eye, and that's awfully close."
{Ftisk} "Who is Mirmir?"
{Random_Nerd} K: "I've been thinking about doing that in exchange for wisdom, but before I do, I want to talk to someone who actually has."
{DanteE} "I told him that would cause problems..."
{Random_Nerd} K: "You know, from the myth. Frost giant, has a well, yada yada?"
{Davidson} "... you want to carry around Jan ben Jan's head?"
{Kite} "Which head is Jan ben Jan's?"
- Ftisk blank stare "No, I don't know the myth..."
{Random_Nerd} K: "If his head happened to show up, I wouldn't say no..."
{DanteE} (How much can I manipulate the switchblade, BTW?)
{Random_Nerd} (You can work it like a switchblade, although you notice on closer examination that it doesn't actually have any screw holding it together, it's as though it was formed whole, rather than made in pieces.)
{Random_Nerd} (To fold it up, you'd have to cut the bindings holding it to the staff.)
{DanteE} (and the Mimir thing does kinda make sense... if that happened to someone he might be inclined to collect body parts..._)
{Random_Nerd} K: "Oh, and don't tell the Excrucians I'm not actually Odin. I've been working this for a bit, and I've got at least some of them believing it. Makes it easier, if they're a little scared."
{Davidson} "Well, can you fling lightning bolts?"
{Random_Nerd} K: "Nope."
{Random_Nerd} K: "I can stop fires, and heal wounds, and seduce women. Stuff like that."
{Random_Nerd} K: "Oh, the fire one is useful. Works on guns, cars, that kind of thing. One of the most handy ones."
{DanteE} "Heal wounds?"
{Random_Nerd} K: "Doesn't bring back the dead. Oh, that's another one. I can bring back the dead, but they have to be human."

- Kite wonders if the pizza was delivery.
{Random_Nerd} Dante smacks into the dragon with a good deal of force, launching it into the air towards Ken. The dragon is not wounded, but is momentarily stunned enough not to use its wings.

{Random_Nerd} Ken rides his horse in mid-air towards it, and just barely catches it with the tip of the switchblade.
