{Random_Nerd} It will take time for all the process to complete, but you can start it with one miraculous action.
{Ftisk} What mean?
{Theresa} And we're not dead yet!
{Random_Nerd} I'd say that it will be a few days until Ftisk has had 100% of the tempering effects kick in, but he can do the tempering itself with one turn.
{DanteE} I was thinking Kite & I are on one side of the house (debris) while everybody else is in fireball formation on the other side...
{Random_Nerd} And the early effects will kick in immediately.
{Ftisk} ok, but the immediate result is like a 50% of the tempering? or what
{Random_Nerd} Something like that.
{Random_Nerd} Some of the personality shifts and so on will take longer, but stuff like physical appearance will be immediate.

{DanteE} everyone OK with us tapping our Dynasty point reserve?

{Random_Nerd} Shall we start with Ftisk's Tempering, then, so it doesn't have to get crammed in with the general miracle order?
{Kite} I had imagined myself at 3:00, to Dante's 12:00 and Theresa's 6:00.
{Ftisk} and Dante and Kite are far away
{Theresa} What if I took the dirt out from under him again? It's a mundane action for him and it's indirect so, no Winds.
{Kite} But I was doing more on Dante's side, so it would make sense for me to have migrated that way.
{DanteE} of course you're the most hurt IIRC...
{Theresa} I think I'm at serious, out of deadly.
{Ftisk} So the most hurted are: Kite, Theresa, all the others
{Random_Nerd} Let's see... which of you have been hit with the Negative Gift?

{Random_Nerd} Who doesn't actually have defensive Gifts.

{DanteE} the main thing to watch out for are the damn Winds

{Random_Nerd} Technically, it did strip off his self-protection miracle. But he used one of his rounds to put that back up.
{Random_Nerd} And Dante and Ftisk still have their mojo workin'.
{Random_Nerd} Okay, we ready?
{DanteE} those winds come straight from him, right?
{Random_Nerd} Yes.
{Random_Nerd} And they're a little less wide than a normal Winds of Hate.
{Random_Nerd} Not much less, but maybe 20, 30%.
{Random_Nerd} Same impact force, though.

• Kite puts down his coffee and goes back to where we cut last week. "Ready!"
  

{Ftisk} (so we start with Ftisk tempering?)
{Random_Nerd} Okay. We're starting with Ftisk.
{Random_Nerd} Yes.
{Random_Nerd} ____________START________________
{Theresa} (So, what's our plan?)

• Ftisk run to the head, grab it and start the tempering!
  

{Random_Nerd} Ftisk has just slain a dragon. Theresa has just yoinked the Abhorrent Spear.
{Kite} (Same as always.)
{DanteE} so if he gets dumped in a pit...
{Random_Nerd} Ftisk, you feel... different.
{Random_Nerd} And then you melt.
{Random_Nerd} Everyone, you see Ftisk dissolve into a glob of white-hot material, which hovers in the air for a moment.
{Ftisk} (cool!)
{Random_Nerd} A few seconds later, it reshapes itself into a man in a greenish-bluish suit, with bronze-colored skin and a missing eye.
{DanteE} BTW, what determines 'initiative'?

• Kite really hopes Ftisk meant to do that.
  
• Theresa will try to keep looking at the Robe in front of her as she is hurt, tired and is sure that Ftisk will replay a movie of the happenings later.

{Random_Nerd} Robed: "If you agree to negotiate, we won't attack until talks are finished. Deal?"
{Theresa} "On your word of honor?"
{TemperdFtisk} "Do I have stars in my eyes?"
{Random_Nerd} (Ftisk can still shape-shift, but he'll generally have some aspects of the Warmain Shard's look in whatever form he takes.)
{Random_Nerd} Robed: "I'm a Warmain."
{Random_Nerd} (In your eye. But yes. You do.)
{Random_Nerd} Robed: "We don't violate truces."
{TemperdFtisk} "I'm too?"
{Random_Nerd} Robed: "According to some schools of thought, yes, you are."
{DanteE} "... all right... but step away from the non-combatants."
{Theresa} "And I'm in a _lot_ of pain because of you personally. But okay. Cover your ears if you don't want to get hurt." *Aspect Yell: "CEASE FIRE FOR PARLEY!"*

• TemperdFtisk feel ... strange
  

{Kite} "Parsley's not that exciting."
{Random_Nerd} Swashbuckler: "I don't think there are any. Your pet mortal attacked with the spear. But he's part of the talk, too."
{Random_Nerd} Robed: "Okay, let's talk terms. You want us to not attack the Power of Roads, right?"
{DanteE} (also, it gives some of us time to heal... 2 AMP toward putting myself back together)
{Theresa} *to Kite* "Parley. It means truce while we talk things over and hopefully everyone walks away with their respective bits."
{Theresa} "And our pet mortal needs to learn the term 'noncombatant observer.'"

• DanteE lands by the others...
  

{Random_Nerd} The Swashbuckler rubs the place where he got poked with the spear, for a moment. It heals over.
{DanteE} (Also, where is everybody and how badly are they hurt?)
{Kite} "Sounds like a useful vegetable."
{Theresa} (That was the only attack going on, right?)
{Random_Nerd} Davidson: "I saw an opportunity. Seemed the thing to do."

• TemperdFtisk ... I stay between "our" side and "their" side...
  

{Random_Nerd} (Theresa is out of Deadly wounds. Kite is out of Deadly and has lost some Serious, too. The Dragon-warmain is dead. Dante, Ftisk, and the two living Shards are not visibly injured.)
{Theresa} (Theresa - holding onto the spear, next to Robe and hurt rather badly.)
{DanteE} (Ken?)
{Random_Nerd} (He doesn't seem injured.)
{Kite} (Tree, down one Serious)
{TemperdFtisk} (I have one death)
{TemperdFtisk} (or the tempering healed me?)
{Random_Nerd} Davidson is rather beat up, but not really in need of immediate medical attention.
{Random_Nerd} (Ah. That didn't change, then.)
{Random_Nerd} Duncan reaches into his pocket, and tosses Ftisk an eyepatch.
{TemperdFtisk} (ok, but I'll aspect heal)
{Random_Nerd} Ken: "I always carry a spare."
{TemperdFtisk} "thank you"
{Random_Nerd} (Okay. Let's see, you're Durant?)
{TemperdFtisk} (none, plain noble))
{Theresa} "Yes, uh...may I ask your name, please? I feel a bit silly describing you by your clothing, in my head."

• TemperdFtisk grab the eyep.
  
• DanteE takes a moment to heal Davidson
  

{Random_Nerd} (Ah. In that case, healing your wound in one minute will take 4 AMPs.)
{TemperdFtisk} (I had these! oh I heal)
{Random_Nerd} Robe: "Elias. And this is Rochefort. Our fallen brother was Conrad."

{Random_Nerd} Elias: "As near as I can tell, you can defeat us, at least forcing us to retreat without accomplishing our goal. In the process, I expect to be able to kill at least one of you, and probably two."

{Random_Nerd} Elias: "So, here's the deal. We walk away. We don't attack Roads, or any other estate, for one month. You don't attack us in any way, or attempt to follow us or see where we've gone."

• Theresa gives an up eyebrow to Ken. And a thought prayer to the others: "'s good?"
  

{DanteE} "... one question. Who's your leader on the other side?"
{Random_Nerd} Elias: "Also, you don't send anyone else after us, for that same month. After that, we're fair game again."

• ConraTisk pryback "Sure, leave my brothers go away"
  

{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "If answering that question's part of the deal, you need to give up something in return."
{ConraTisk} (one question for one question?)
{Random_Nerd} Elias: "In fact... let's say neither side tells the other any military secrets."
{DanteE} "I'll give you information. We eliminated your fourth conspirator on the way here."

• DanteE shows the sword.
  

{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "Thought I felt something. I told him not to go off alone."
{Random_Nerd} Elias: "Who killed him?"
{DanteE} "We did."
{Random_Nerd} Elias: "Specifically, though. It matters, at least to us."

{Theresa} (Uh, yeah, about that...)
{ConraTisk} "The motorcycle is gone"
{Kite} "Er..."
{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "In which case, we insist you keep the sword."
{DanteE} "Catastrophic existence failure of the main frame. At about 65 mph."
{Random_Nerd} Rochefort nods. "It happens. I always told him to use a horse instead."
{Random_Nerd} (Oh, and the reason they're willing to negotiate is that Ftisk's choice to Temper himself made them think that you guys are of a more than usually Warmain-ish frame of mind.)
{Theresa} (Aww, how sweet.)
{ConraTisk} (truly)

{Random_Nerd} (If not for that, they'd only trust you guys if they thought you were Angelic or Serpentine.)

{Random_Nerd} (Almost all versions of the Code of the Serpents contain a respect for oaths.)

{Theresa} (Yep. And also, Theresa has the part where you don't waste deaths.)
{Random_Nerd} (And Warmains in this game see Angels as more like them than the other kinds of Imperator, or for that matter other kinds of Excrucian.)
{ConraTisk} (you will be their best enemy friend then T. @RN: this is disturbing)

{Random_Nerd} Oh, and Ftisk, Dante keeping the sword just seems appropriate to you.

• ConraTisk nod nod expectantly toward DanteE

{Random_Nerd} Ken: "It's your siblings that are on the line. I figure, we kept them from hurting Roads, right?"
{Random_Nerd} K: "Sounds like a win in my book."

• Theresa nods at Dante.
  

{DanteE} "Acceptable. Would still like to know who you work for."
{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "That's not really how it works."
{Theresa} "It's okay, Dante. No military secrets and everyone goes home to heal up."
{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "No, not that. Us 'working for someone' isn't how it works."
{Random_Nerd} Elias glares at him.
{Kite} "Ah."
{DanteE} "Well, it's only because we've heard a few names in our careers of eliminating Shards. Wanted to see if one of them had reappeared."
{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "If it helps, your system of running your side of the war seems ass-backwards to /us/, too."
{Kite} "Defending our home is backwards?"
{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "No, just... the way you do it."
{Random_Nerd} Elias: "I think what he's trying to say is that he's going to shut up now."
{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "Is it?"
{Random_Nerd} Elias: "Yes."
{DanteE} "... killing the enemy? You seem to have that down..."
{Random_Nerd} Elias: "It's kind of our thing."
{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "Okay, I have a question. What the hell's up with eyepatch guy? The one with the beard, I mean."
{Random_Nerd} Ken: "No comment."
{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "You're no fun "
{DanteE} (Part of an experiment in creating our own gods. :) )
{Random_Nerd} (By means of the mystical equivalent of a drunken dare.)
{Theresa} (Can Theresa sense the Acorn around?)
{Random_Nerd} (Yes.)
{ConraTisk} "What were the think you'll remembered of Conrad?"
{DanteE} (Reminds me, I thought of another potential Theresa power)
{ConraTisk} (aka what he do that is deign of being noted by a warmain?)
{ConraTisk} (@D: after Accorn rainning death?)
{DanteE} (Does he want to tear himself apart and recreate himself as a mechanical dragon?)
{ConraTisk} (uhm... is tempting)

• ConraTisk try to change in the dragon-mantis form
  

{Random_Nerd} Elias: "You'll remember what there is to remember of him. You've done the hard part already, the rest will follow. If he comes back, what should we tell him of you?"
{DanteE} (Should we give them a message for King Sueridus? :) )
{ConraTisk} "Tell him that I love Dante soo much..."
{Random_Nerd} The Dragon-Mantis Ftisk is a different color, more like tarnished copper than the iridescent green Conrad was. Also, you're still missing one eye. Otherwise, it's the same shape.

• DanteE rolls his eyes into the next county...
  

{Kite} "Though that's just what should be told. There is no truth to it. Really."
{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "Hmm. Are you yourself a shapeshifter, or did you just learn how to do that?"
{ConraTisk} "I can change form buy not like that before, the color are all different"
{DanteE} "Ah, if we're answering your questions you should be answering ours."
{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "Just making conversation..."
{Theresa} "It's been pretty even, Dante."

• ConraTisk hug Elias and Rochefort "... I think, I think... never mind ... well tomorrow is another day, you can have more success then"
  
• Theresa bows to the two Shards. "Well, it's been very painful but a honorable battle. I need to go collect something, if you will excuse me?"
  

{ConraTisk} (and pat them too)
{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "Nothing personal, you know?"
{DanteE} "One month, then."
{ConraTisk} "yep" *thumbs up to the 2 shards*
{Random_Nerd} Elias: "Yes. You killed our brothers, but did it with respect and in a state of war. And they might even come back, besides."
{ConraTisk} (or taloon or whathewer)
{DanteE} (Hm... they might come back?)
{Kite} "Which is, admittedly, not a pleasant thought on our end."
{Random_Nerd} Elias: "And you've taken the sword of one and the shape of the other. The proper forms have been observed."
{Theresa} (The tempering.)
{Theresa} (The two personalities. You two might not be the dominant ones.)
{Random_Nerd} (Warmain Shards, when killed, sometimes show up again. But sometimes they don't, and there's a different shard to replace them.)
{Theresa} (Oh, never mind me. I'm weird.)

• Theresa will head over toward where the Acorn is.
  

{Random_Nerd} Elias: "One month."
{Kite} (I always thought of it as the Excrucian version of replacing a Noble)
{DanteE} (Hm, going to Anchor the Acorn? :)
{ConraTisk} (or plainting it in Amyra, under the tower shadow)
{Random_Nerd} (It's a little different from that. A Noble is the combination of a piece of an Imperator and a human or other creature. A Shard is just a piece of an Excrucian.)
{DanteE} (Oh... Nettle Rite time?)

• Kite starts looking in the remains of the house for some pots and pans for the Tesla ants to temporarily move into.
  

{Theresa} (Would Nettle Rite count as an attack?)
{Random_Nerd} (Almost certainly. You'd be draining their miraculous energy.)
{ConraTisk} (I'll not nettle them!)
{DanteE} (Well, what if we Nettle the plan?)
{Random_Nerd} (Yes. When you nettle someone, the energy you draw doesn't come from nowhere.)
{Random_Nerd} (It's from the specific person that you Done Wrong.)
{Random_Nerd} (So, it'd be like shaking hands and calling it even, and then stealing the other guy's car.)
{DanteE} (OK.)
{Random_Nerd} Elias: "Well, thanks for dealing with all this like gentlemen."

• Theresa coughs a little.
  

{Random_Nerd} Rochefort: "Yeah. For Nobles, you guys were pretty cool."
{ConraTisk} (I like Rochefort)
{Kite} "We try."
{ConraTisk} "Is our nature..."
{Theresa} "Thank you."
{Random_Nerd} They each nod at you guys, and then turn around towards the road.

• Theresa scuffs around a bit for the acorn.
  

{Theresa} "I know you're here..."

• Kite tries to motivate the Tesla ants to move into the pots and pans.
  

{DanteE} "Well, when you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
{Random_Nerd} In the debris, you find an acorn.
{Theresa} *to the acorn* "Hello there."

• ConraTisk walks around and ponder
  

{DanteE} to Ftisk: "So, how do you feel?"
{Kite} "I wonder where you order splinter pizza around here."
{ConraTisk} "strange... changing"
{Random_Nerd} The pizza is still in the ground floor of what used to be a house. Papa John's, apparently.
{DanteE} "Heh... this clearing looks like the Boss after a bender."
{Random_Nerd} Stars drift in Ftisk's eye.
{DanteE} "Just remember whose side you're on, Ftisk."
{ConraTisk} "I fell like adapting... I'll need some days.. .I think... but my feeling toward you, Dante, are the same ..."
{Kite} "I'll try to take care of the house after I get these ants in order."
{ConraTisk} "I'm on ... well, I respond to this in a few days.. ok?"

• Kite looks seriously at Ftisk, "Which are COMPLETELY PLATONIC in front of strangers."
  

{Random_Nerd} Acorn: "Freeeeedom!"
{DanteE} "aaaaand my feelings toward you are the same (you nut :) )"
{ConraTisk} "Ok, I want to be Dante Wore, ok Kite, he is MINE!!!"

• ConraTisk try to spite toward Kite
  

{Theresa} *to the acorn spirit* "Want to come live in my place?"

• Kite rolls eyes.
  

{Random_Nerd} Acorn: "Raaawr!"

• DanteE helps collect house bits while everyone heals
  

{DanteE} "Davidson. Any questions?"
{Theresa} (Theresa is going to take a good while to heal.)
{Random_Nerd} Davidson: "What the hell?"
{Theresa} "Good question."

• ConraTisk looks at Davidson with a pondering face
  
• Theresa picks up the acorn and puts it into a pocket. "Okay, probably next to the tower would be best."
  
• ConraTisk changes into snail form? Or what I fell as normal now
  

{Kite} (I would like to perform another change on the ants' assembly of an anthill to get them to move their entire colony (and Tesla coil) into the pots and pans so that we can take them home.)
{Random_Nerd} What feels most normal is your humanoid-Conrad form.
{DanteE} "In some ways, the Valde Bellum--War for Reality--isn't quite a 'hot' war."
{Random_Nerd} You can still take on your snail-form, but it doesn't feel any more "you" than any other shapeshifted form does.
{DanteE} "In the sense that there aren't masses of troops coming over the wall."
{DanteE} "... yet."
{Random_Nerd} Davidson: "Seems almost feudal, really."

• ConraTisk a bit sad return to Conrad form
  

{Random_Nerd} Davidson: "Only without the peasant conscripts and so on."
{Kite} "I imagine peasant conscripts get used often enough."
{Random_Nerd} Davidson: "So... something tells me that him turning into that guy was something special, and not just the same thing he's been doing. But I don't know what the difference is."
{DanteE} "So, Ken, how did we do for a bunch of bumbling newbies?"

• ConraTisk pray to Jan ben Jan: "Does the eye I give to you start to have stars in it?"
  

{DanteE} "Ftisk... has taken on some of the characteristics of his enemy.
{DanteE} "Hopefully not too many."
{Random_Nerd} Ken: "I'm lucky you guys were along. That lot was hardcore."
{Theresa} "These Shards were Warmains. They take their fighting very seriously. And it's a mark of honor to a good enemy for a Warmain to take on the enemy's appearance and essence."
{DanteE} (Oh, did he get his spear back?)

• ConraTisk pray to Jan ben Jan: "Sorry I'm Con... I mean Fitsk of Vulcan"
  

{Random_Nerd} (Theresa has it.)
{Random_Nerd} Jan ben Jan: "Well, isn't that interesting. Shame you didn't do that a month ago, I would have loved to see what would have happened /then/."
{DanteE} (Do I have a shot in hell of creating an Abhorrent Blade?)
{Random_Nerd} (Not unless you have a hell of a plan.)
{DanteE} (using the 'spear' as a template?)
{Random_Nerd} (Put it this way. I can't think of a way that you could do so, with the resources you currently have available.)
{ConraTisk} TO J: "So no stars ... ok thank you"
{DanteE} (And what was happening a month ago?)
{ConraTisk} (I give him the eye?)
