«Brian» I hadn't thought of the in-between time. I had set two days as a realistic timeframe for the Aides to pass the word on.

«Random_Nerd» So, this means that to some extent the ball is in the court of Kite and Ftisk. Guys, we haven't seen Locus Vulcan yet in-game, so you guys should be the first to describe the place where you'd have Jonathan and the Spear.
«Random_Nerd» Does one of you want to do the description, or do the two of you want to confer?
«Brian» Ftisk: Rule #1 of GMing: when the players have a spot that they defined, they get to describe it ;)
«Kite» Er...Kite's section is probably a huge nest-turned-cave made of all things that glitter.

«Brian» yeah :) Besides, that way the players definitely get what they want :)
«Kite» And, if we're visiting, he and Gil are probably filling a cart with things from his Amyra nest to add to it.
«Random_Nerd» It's just like how Amyra was largely defined by players, I just fill in the details and play the NPCs.
«Brian» I'm going to grab some coke. I should've also bought some chips for snacking, I think.

• Kite leads everyone through one of the wealthier and more technologically advanced areas of the Grotto. Molten rock and metal runs in little ditches along the streets. Most of the people in the area seem to be mechanically augmented or robots. Before long, you approach a glittering mass that looks like it may have once been a factory...at least those look like smokestacks.

«Random_Nerd» In a huge large room currently emptied of machinery but with some furniture and a blackboard brought in, the Spear and Jonathan are working.

• Theresa feels a bit out of place as greenery isn't a big part of the area.
  

«Random_Nerd» Jonathan is scribbling on the chalkboard in a different phonetic shorthand than the one Sam uses, working on possible descriptions of Assembly.
«Random_Nerd» The Spear is pacing around while reading the instructions for assembling a modular desk, with the components in piles around her.
«Random_Nerd» Several similar pieces of furniture fill that area of the room.

«Random_Nerd» Jonathan: "This is going to be tricky, getting across the idea to people who haven't seen it, or at least getting them ready for it."

«Random_Nerd» Jonathan: "Although, I must say. They said I'd hate it here, the whole two-worlds thing, but it doesn't seem like a bid deal."

«Random_Nerd» Jonathan: "There's no... struggle, I suppose. What the world is is just fixed, and I don't have to worry about it."

«Random_Nerd» Spear: "Easy for you to say. Submitting to it like this just feels wrong. It's not that I want to fight it, but that I'm not even /able/ to."

«Random_Nerd» Spear: "But even a Noble has to pick one or the other?"
«Kite» "But just the two."
«Brian» (are there those two viewpoints here in Vulkan?)
«DanteE» "And anyone who isn't Noble or more is stuck with one viewpoint."
«Random_Nerd» Sam: "Even for dionyl Nobles, according to the few I've talked to on Earth."

«Random_Nerd» Sam: "Technically, it's possible for a non-Noble to learn to switch between the two, but it takes training and time."

«Random_Nerd» (Oh, and part of why she got Kite alone wasn't just to not be around Jonathan for the first question, but to not be around Gil for the second one. She knew he'd have some easy answer to that, but she wanted Kite's version.)
