<Random_Nerd> It would... but not /this/ stone. Since that only became an issue after you'd already gotten the destiny together for this.
<Random_Nerd> So, it'd be a reasonable stone for the project "Work out a remedy for Entropy's corruption" but not for "figure out what Entropy is up to", I think.

<Verithe> It might have some sort of diplomatic/administrative weight.

<Verithe> Just because we know what Lord Entropy has planned doesn't mean we can't gag Dante and lie about it.

<BethE> My play on the term Typhoid Mary. A woman who didn't show symptoms of typhoid but spread it everywhere she went.

<BethE> Basically that we're obviously too cursed even for Entropy to deal with and doom follows in our wake...
<Knockwood> So, if we went with "Understanding of Entropy", what would that entail?

<Verithe> Or...actively working against Lord Entropy.
<Knockwood> besides the first step toward Resistance To Entropy
<Random_Nerd> What would you want it to entail? Being better at guessing at what he's up to? Him regarding you as more of an ally?
<BethE> (I'm just wondering what in the heck we're going to say if they want him back. Which Entropy doesn't want yet.)
<Knockwood> My other projects involve figuring out the great mysteries and preparing for the Age End.
<Random_Nerd> So, what do the rest of you think would work well?
<Knockwood> Reputation may work better for those.
<BethE> I'd pick being better at guessing what he's up to. Something that we can guess what he wants to have happen and we work for a neutral way that doesn't get us into more trouble.
<Verithe> Knowing what his other plans are may make it harder to not be corrupted without directly opposing him.
<Knockwood> Depends on how much influence he's going to have on our low-level stuff, really

<Verithe> So we'd definitely want to pursue being incorruptible if we do that.
<Verithe> But something which keeps his plans from interfering with ours sounds really good to me.

<Random_Nerd> Gil: "Well, I think we've reached the peak of the first-wave converts. The rate at which new members are joining is slowing, but hasn't stopped."
<Kite> And practicing turning into a Dionyl, if Ftisk has time to help him.

• Theresa is working with her office about urban gardens and skyscraper gardens. Also industrial uses for the vines that appeared after the enChancelment.
  

<Random_Nerd> Gil: "Now the question is going to be whether this one can go the distance. If it seems to have the chance, we'll get increased enrollment again once the word of mouth gets started."
<Ftisk> Sure Kite is like juggling Fly, camel, kite all with one hand!
<Kite> to Gil: "Yes."
<Kite> to Ftisk: "What."
<Random_Nerd> Gil: "Also, I've done some groundwork for trade with more mature citystates. There are things that can be made by assembly that can't be made as easily or as well by other means. That gives us local prominence, and gets the idea out there."
<Random_Nerd> (Okay. What channels will you be going through to arrange a meeting, Dante?)
<Ftisk> "Yep kite?"
<Kite> to Gil: "Excellent!"
<Theresa> (You could get all artsy and fashionable and the citystates will fight over who has your latest work, Kite! ^^ )
<Random_Nerd> Gil: "During this phase, I'm in favor of you visiting your flock at least once a week, so they can see it working."
<DanteE> "William, how are Jaris and her Chancel doing?"
<Kite> to Ftisk: "I have...how do you do this thing, the juggling?"
<Random_Nerd> William: "Let's see... as of the last I heard, they've mostly rebuilt and are moving the chancelfolk back in."
<Kite> to Gil: "This should be doable, Gil. I may need you to remind me, but I do wish to make this happen."
<DanteE> "Ah yes. How are the fishmen doing?
<Random_Nerd> William: "Which raises the question... a small number of the marine folk we were hosting wish to remain. Do you have any objection?"

• Ftisk show slowly the throw a camel in mid air, pass Kite in the other hand, throw kite in air pass the fly in the other hand routine"
  

<DanteE> "Come to think of it, how are Jaris' Nobles doing?"
<Ftisk> "like that is all in the coordination hand eye"

• Kite accidentally slices the camel with his feathers. "Ftisk, this is /hard/!"
  

<Random_Nerd> William: "They've grown much more militant. Until that attack, they were one of the less active Chancels in the War. They seem to be preparing for some kind of counter-attack, but I don't know the details of that."
<DanteE> "Are they all right with those fishmen staying?"
<Random_Nerd> Williams: "Migrations isn't /happy/ with it, but he doesn't seem to want to /force/ them to return."

• Ftisk zap a nearby fly as new camel "take this one .. and yes is hard at first then become, slowly, near a reflex"
  

<Random_Nerd> William: "So, if we let them stay, it might be a little more awkward with him, but it won't be a major faux pas."
<DanteE> "We should meet with them to hash out the details."
<Random_Nerd> William: "Also... two or three of /our/ chancelfolk want to move over with /them/."
<DanteE> "And counter the diplomatic glitch... having them here would create a tie that might wind up useful if they get attacked again."
<Ftisk> "then also some of your folk being in their chancell will help"
<Random_Nerd> William: "A couple who lived by the coast, and one person who had been transformed into some kind of triton during the enchanceling, and wanted to stay that way."
<Random_Nerd> William: "I can arrange a meeting."
<Kite> "What does juggling camels have to do with turning into a dionyl, anyway?"
<Random_Nerd> William: "As soon as possible, or later?"
<DanteE> "Reminds me, any problems with the transformations at the Bureau?"
<DanteE> "Let's go with 'as soon as reasonable'."
<Ftisk> "nothing, is my stress release trick todays"
<Random_Nerd> William: "Going smoothly. There are issues with individual cases, but the psychologists have gotten much better at handling species dimorphism. Also, they've worked out how to fine-tune the transmorgrifier better."
<Kite> "But I want to learn how to turn into a Dionyl!"

• Theresa is checking over a number of buildings that became uninhabitable recently due to rampaging and has her office set about checking the land rights.
  

<Random_Nerd> Gil: "Sir, while I have your attention, something I wanted to talk about..."
<Ftisk> "for your transformation you can look at the changes in the fly-to camel and at the one in your shape" *show slowly a fly-camel transformation*
<Random_Nerd> Gil: "It has to do with my considering leaving the Aides."
<DanteE> "I believe we have no problems with the immigrations or emigrations per se...
<Random_Nerd> William: "The one issue is that the main culture of the seafolk of Locus Jaris is run along Dark lines. You've been... uncomfortable with that, in the past."
<Kite> "Yes, Gil?"
<Ftisk> "now Kite, try to feel all the stages of the change from a bird shape to an human"
<Random_Nerd> Gil: "Well, you know how a lot of people think the Aides are a secret conspiracy for dark and suspicious purposes?"
<DanteE> "As long as the people who want to emigrate know that, I'm OK with that."
<Kite> "No, Gil."

• Ftisk slowly shape change Kite into humanKite like in 15 second instead of instantaneously
  
• Theresa scribbles some notes about the progression of cuttings of the healing-plant from the hospital back when Lesson was shot. And nibbles on some toast with a new product: a jam made with the fruits of the Vines. A bit tart, a bit sweet, almost constantly changing on the tongue.
  

<Random_Nerd> Gil: "It's exaggerated, but we do have organizational goals. And they're mostly... large-scale ones. Short version is, the agenda of the Aides is to 'save the world'."
<Kite> "Ftisk, I could have changed into a human on my own."
<Ftisk> "oh! Right! I forgot :-( and you need help for what then?"
<Random_Nerd> Gil: "But I've been thinking... that isn't what I want my top goal to be. I've been really enjoying spending all my time on a single, specific project that has nothing to do with the War. And I think /that's/ what I want to do."
<Random_Nerd> William: "Very well."
<Kite> to Ftisk: "To change into a Dionyl."
<Ftisk> "oh! right, right! Sorry, zap into a D. in 5 secs! :-) "

• Ftisk change Kite into a Dyonil slowly and pointing at the various stages"

<Random_Nerd> Gil: "No. I've thought about it, before. But strange as it is, this body is mine."

<Random_Nerd> Gil: "Very well. I'll have to contact the Society, but this shouldn't be too problematic. Might be a bit awkward around William and Samuel, though."

• Kite pays attention to the changes while transforming into a dionyl

• Ftisk transform back and forth Kite some times
  

<Ftisk> "I have a task for Lesson!"
<Kite> "I'll work on William and Sam."
<DanteE> Hm.
<DanteE> "His work may pick up soon..."

• Kite turns into a Dionyl, then a bird, then a Dionyl, then a bird, then a....
  

<DanteE> "For now, work with him and the country's hospitals to eliminate the worst diseases and the effects of debilitating accidents, like we did in the local hospital."
<Kite> (but not under his own power)
<DanteE> "Having a demon helping do good... amuses me."
<DanteE> "And I want to see what happens."
<Ftisk> "I'm really, really wanna ad laser in L. eyes and a monkey tail! Would be a fearsome super hero! All evildoers will fear him!"

• Theresa checks her spreadsheets on weather patterns. The entire Chancel is working on being self-sufficient and with her blessings, no plants in the Chancel weaken from lack of nourishment. But still that doesn't stop flooding or tornados or giants roaming through your fields.
  

<Theresa> (He's got a plant for a heart. And he's a demon. Isn't that enough to be cool already?)
<Random_Nerd> William: "What should I tell him to do?"
<Random_Nerd> William: "Ah... that came out wrong."
<Random_Nerd> William: "What should I tell him you want him to do?"
<Ftisk> (laser eyes make anything better!)
<DanteE> "Hm..."
<Kite> (Laser toes!)
<Theresa> (Makes shoes a bit of a problem.)
<Ftisk> (laser tail then?)
<Random_Nerd> Gil: "One other question. About your city-state... to what extent did you want to make contact between them and Locus Vulcan possible?"
<Kite> (sandals...always)
<DanteE> "Coordinate with him to clear out another hospital, we'll see what happens then."
<Random_Nerd> William: "With... the treatment of chronically ill patients with the Ray?"
<Random_Nerd> William: "Now, his people can do that, but he doesn't really have the personal expertise to be of much use directly."
<Kite> to Gil: "It would probably be very convenient to make communication and travel between the two easier. I should talk to Lord Vulcan about the travel part, though."
<Random_Nerd> Gil: "I don't know how you would set that up, but I imagine you could work something out. I just wanted to raise the issue."
<Random_Nerd> Gil: "So, once I'm no longer the Aide assigned to you... what am I? What's my role, as you'd describe it?"
<DanteE> "That's why I'm asking you to coordinate with him.
<DanteE> "Well, one reason."
<Kite> to Gil: "Of course. Hmmm...."
<Kite> to Gil: "What is a saint? Would that be something like the office you have?"
<Random_Nerd> William: "The problem, I think, is that he wants something to do personally. But the number of appropriate tasks are small. He's mainly good at intimidating people and using violence... but there are very few situations that call for that, but don't call for the presence of a Noble."
<Random_Nerd> Gil: "Well, we don't currently have saints in your church, just your two High Priests and the others they're beginning to train up."
<DanteE> "Hm... is he training any 'special forces'?"
<Random_Nerd> William: "Not currently. Should I tell him that you want him to?"

• Kite cocks his head.
  

<DanteE> "Hold on, I'll put together a lesson plan for in case we experience a demon attack or something."
<Random_Nerd> William: "Very well."
<Kite> to Gil: "So are you saying that the cult needs a saint?"
<Ftisk> "Saint Ftisk?"
<Ftisk> "brother of the Kite"
<Random_Nerd> Gil: "Hmm. Not yet, I think. We're still at the Divine Micromanagement phase, as it's just beginning. In a generation, when you want it to be self-sufficient, that may be useful."

<Random_Nerd> G: "Of course, if you want that, we'll need a way to make Assembly possible on Dionyl without your own presence."
<Random_Nerd> (I think you're in two groups in the same building.)
<Random_Nerd> (But Kite and Ftisk may be in Locus Vulcan.)

<Theresa> (Have there been any small invasions of stuff from the pathways into and out of the Chancel? Stuff that just wanders in and causes havoc before the military takes care of it?)
<Ftisk> (I'm open to being in Vulcan, if Kite is ok)
<Kite> (I imagined that Kite and Gil were separate from the rest, spatially and chronologically.)
<Kite> (But Ftisk can be around.)

<Random_Nerd> Jennifer rummages around in her backpack, and pulls out a dull grey-brown knife the same color as the bony projections that Lesson has in a few places.

<Random_Nerd> Lesson: "This will be weak. Blood has weakened since leaving Hell, and no relevant moral element."

<Random_Nerd> He takes the knife, rolls up his right sleeve, and makes a shallow cut in his right arm, letting the blood drip on the floor.

<Random_Nerd> This is more like the spiritual equivalent of a bloodborne illness. Lesson's blood could never be mistaken for Entropy's. It's like the difference between a bad cold and the pneumonic plague.
<DanteE> (Does it look like Entropy's?)

<Random_Nerd> However, this does seem more /physically/ active. Entropy's blood didn't change the shape or arrangement of the carpet any, just pass on its corruption to it.
<Random_Nerd> So, this isn't a lesser degree of the same thing, but a different thing that's probably related to it.
<Random_Nerd> Lesson: "Not sure how I feel about weakening blood. Didn't like Hell, but don't like being diminished."
<Random_Nerd> Jennifer: "Don't worry about it, boss. There's a lot of stuff you can do now that wouldn't have even made sense to you back then."

<Random_Nerd> For a moment, you see the marble halls of the Lunar Palace. You're walking along the halls just outside the Realm of Lost Things. Then, for a moment, something catches your attention. You thought you heard someone, behind you, but there's nothing there.
<Random_Nerd> Everyone else, Ftisk's hoverjets have powered down, and he slowly descended to the ground.
<Theresa> (He was on my shoulder.)
<Random_Nerd> (Ah, then his grip on it is loosening.)
<Random_Nerd> Lesson: "At this point, shouldn't impair discernably."

• Theresa feels Ftisk sliding off and makes a grab for him, spilling his popcorn.

<Theresa> "Do just those who are affiliated with or against Hell smell it or can everyone who is sensitive to such things?"
<DanteE> to Kite: "We'll have to see if we can 'clean' ourselves.
<Random_Nerd> Lesson: "Those who... have reason to care. Angels, of either type. Demons. Maybe others."
<DanteE> "I doubt it'll be as easy as a long shower."

• Ftisk run around calling, no, shouting for someone
  

<Random_Nerd> Lesson: "Oh. Might want to get veil, if you might die soon."
<DanteE> "A veil?"
<Random_Nerd> Ftisk, you hear footsteps clattering towards you.
<Random_Nerd> Lesson gestures vaguely.
<Kite> to Dante: "I suggest some of the traditional things like incense and paper wand thingies."

• Ftisk run toward these footsteps
  

<Kite> "Maybe holy water."
<Ftisk> "Helloooo!!!!"
<Random_Nerd> Ftisk, you suddenly feel an alien presence in your mind. It itches."
<Kite> "What is holy water, anyway?"
<Random_Nerd> Lesson: "For not going to Hell. Wouldn't like Hell. Nobody likes Hell."
<Ftisk> (alien like Vassa and other shards? or alien like not as anythingelse?)
