<Random_Nerd> Like, what would you say are your most promising leads?

<Random_Nerd> What angles of investigation look like they might go somewhere with a bit of extra poking?

<Knockwood> been looking over the logs and seeing stuff I'd complete forgotten we did

<BethE> I'm not sure that we have anything like that. All we have of Breach Day is Caesar, Janis, Kudzu regaining some memories...and I think a couple of warmains acting weird that we've already talked to?

<Knockwood> Well, I was looking at the whole Mike Cook thing

<BethE> So how does it connect with Breach Day? Because didn't Shirk come into creation at a different time?

<Knockwood> There's the problem, we don't know squat about what happened on that day, but it was something big.

<Random_Nerd> Yeah. I mean, if the plan is "sit and wait for the GM to hand over plot nuggets", well, you'll certainly get some of those at the meeting /itself/...

<Random_Nerd> But if there's something specific you want to look into, I'm all ears.

<DanteE> Anybody remember a potential lead for Breach Day? Or anything else?

<Kite> Oh! Were we going to try looking into how to share Estates with Outside without removing them from Creation?

<Theresa> "I'm not sure that we have anything like that. All we have of Breach Day is Caesar, Janis, Kudzu regaining some memories...and I think a couple of warmains acting weird that we've already talked to?"

<Random_Nerd> Okay! Is there any pattern in who acted weird? Or in /how/ they acted weird?

<Random_Nerd> On the cross-wall Estate, the question is... okay, you have an example of something that appears to work there. Why does that one work, and others don't seem to?

<Random_Nerd> Hmm.

<Ftisk> him was busy crying onto himself at the time

<lazarus> (My main project has been sidelined and I'm totally ok with that. My secondary goals are to figure out how to get Estates to be on both sides of the Wall ... either way, I want to advance plot this session, hopefully ^_^)

<Theresa> Breach Day - okay, so we have Wildlords who remembered stuff and went awol to handle the memory upload. We have Jaris, whose Chancel was attacked by a Warmain acting weird. We have Warmain shards acting weird (multiple ones).

<Random_Nerd> (Kill Entropy, I assume.)

<Random_Nerd> And High Summoning got stronger, both for the duration, and afterwards.

<Theresa> Oh and we have Caesar who is just plain weird in that he's technically a Wildlord but also an Excrucian and...well, just weird. Although, if the next Imperator is Ananda Caesar, that would be awesome.

<lazarus> ("How We Won The War" or something like that was my title of it. It's less "murder Entropy" and more "make him irrelevant to Earth's politics")

<Random_Nerd> (Hmm! That, you have a shot at here. Since Entropy specifically /isn't/ at the summit, and his main representative there is a WMD in a box.)

<DanteE> We need to figure out what we'll present to the Exs at the summit.

<DanteE> Wouldn't impress them much if we just sat there picking our noses.

<Theresa> We know that the wildlords are pretty much tightlipped about their memory stuff, even Kudzu, but we might be able to get something out of HQB. Especially if we invoke the whole 'you told us to work on this' thing.

<Theresa> Hey, nose goblins are a rare delicacy on the other side of the Wall!

<Random_Nerd> Should we cut to you guys talking with HQB?

<DanteE> Alternatively, we could look into our past selves and/or the last time Kudzu was around

<Random_Nerd> That is a question... is it worth considering betraying the Warmains?

<Theresa> Idea - we get HQB to give us info that we can give to the Excrucians in exchange for whatever. A shiny pony made of Estates and diamonds.

<Theresa> Theresa won't consider it, at least at the moment. She wants this to be a good-faith meeting, even if she is part controller of The Box.

<Kite> I want a pony made of Estates and diamonds!

<lazarus> Brian wants this to be a good-faith meeting. Because the Valde Bellum is another one of the wars he intends to win. This one hopefully by making sure the Excrucians don't want to.

<Theresa> Oh, reminds me. In the downtime between sessions, Theresa had made the giant his horse. It is a Fine Horse, worthy of him.

<Theresa> (It is not made of diamonds, though.)

<DanteE> If you think about it, there's a really big question: are we going to fight, or not?

<DanteE> "They come in, ask us what's going on with Entropy and Shirk, and we say... what?"

<Theresa> "Look, a pony made of diamonds?"

<Random_Nerd> Sam: "Look..."

<Kite> (Kite is trying to forget it because he doesn't want to be Entropy-corrupted.)

<Theresa> "I think that we should check in with HQB and see if he had any Council information that he can let us leak."

<DanteE> "That might work.

<DanteE> "and... we never did ask him what he did that one weird day, did we?"

<Theresa> "I'm sorry, Kite. I was mentioning the pony as a way to distract the Excrucians, but that would be mean if we didn't give you dibs on any sparkly ponies we created."

<Kite> "That would be mean! I claim dibs on all sparkly ponies!"

<lazarus> (Kite's favourite pony is Twilight Sparkle, right? ;))

<Kite> (He likes the crystal ponies best)

<DanteE> (Would it be too much to ask William to put together Entropy's cover story, so that if we wind up having to answer that question we can?)

<Theresa> "Oh true. But I wouldn't want to just barge in."

<Random_Nerd> William: "One of you with the marking, come over here, I'll do the prayer."

<Random_Nerd> William: "Okay, he should know that you need to talk about something relating to the summit. Now, we wait."

<Theresa> "Thank you, William."

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "You're asking me to give you militarily relevant information to leak to the enemy?"

<Random_Nerd> H: "For that matter, you /know/ the plan about Shirk, don't you? That was my understanding."

<DanteE> "We do. But we can't tell them that."

<Random_Nerd> H: "Then you ask for... what, exactly?"

<Random_Nerd> H: "You're Nobles. Surely you know how to lie."

<Theresa> "Something to make it worth their time to talk with us before we get to the heart of the meeting. And we do know how to lie. Except the one of us who is Honest and often talks."

<Theresa> "Also, lord, if you haven't noticed something about us, we are truly horrible liars even without being honest."

<Random_Nerd> H: "So you called one of the four lords of the Earth here to come up with a persuasive lie that there's a fair chance you'll get wrong even if I hand you one?"

<Theresa> "Yeah, it doesn't sound that great when you throw it back at me. But I thought that it might be worth a shot. Also, we wished to know if you would be willing to share your experiences from Breach Day."

<Random_Nerd> H: "From what?"

<DanteE> "Well, it is _wasn't_ a lie it would be easier to 'sell'."

<DanteE> "The day Chancel Jaris was attacked and Caesar reappeared."

<Random_Nerd> H: "But you /know/ the truth. Don't you? For that matter, I /don't/."

<Random_Nerd> H: "Ah. That day. I... do not wish to share the details of my experiences on that day."

<Random_Nerd> H: "I suppose I can tell you one bit, at least, because it involves you. You recall when I asked you to investigate the effects of the Weirding Wall on memory? My experiences on that day were what provoked me to do so."

<DanteE> "Did you experience a resurgence of memories from before you arrived in Creation?"

<Theresa> "If we are thrust into the Outside, I hope we remember to let you know about our experiences."

<DanteE> "If we're thrust Outside we won't remember anything.

<Random_Nerd> H: "I did experience memories. I am not sure if /resurgence/ is the correct term, because I do not regard the one who had those memories as being myself."

<Theresa> "No guarantees, Dante. Caesar was able to remember things. And the warmains may have swiss cheese for memories when they come here but they can still remember some stuff."

<lazarus> "And some of us have done enough Summoning and such that there's probably a Fetch which may change things"

<DanteE> "Well, unless there's some strangeness with the Summit World..."

<lazarus> "And notice my lack of Random Capitaliz...oops."

<Random_Nerd> H: "My understanding is that Vulcan has built his world so that it will sufficiently partake of the qualities of both Inside and Outside that both sides should be able to reason and recall in their normal fashions."

<DanteE> "I had a flash of wanting a crown of Creation material, and I was born here."

<Random_Nerd> H: "I certainly hope he has. I've devoted enough resources to his project that he'd better get it right."

<lazarus> "He wouldn't be much of a Creation God if he couldn't do that, I would think. And since he IS the Creation God, I'm sure he's got."

<Theresa> (Well, of course, she won't be _Mrs_ until the wedding!)

<lazarus> (*raise hand* although I don't remember it as a player, and Brian wouldn't share anyway.)

<Theresa> (We only talked to Kudzu and Caesar about that day, I think. Besides warmains and they didn't have memory problems, they had personality problems.)

<Kite> (Kite's treating some jewelry as dolls)

<Random_Nerd> (Oh, right.)

<Theresa> (Oh, you mean with us? I had a slight Kudzu thing/connection but not much of stuff.)

<Theresa> (Theresa, the phrase "Chaos and Old Night," from Paradise Lost, seems particularly significant for a moment.)

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "Is there anything else?"

<Theresa> (I don't think I have anything else. Anyone?)

<DanteE> "Any other guidance on the Summit?"

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "One piece of advice. Do not summon up gods to make up lies for you."

<Theresa> "Yes, sir."

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "And... just find out what their terms are. If we knew that, it would be something."

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "It is infuriating to be constantly attacked by amnesiac ninjas who don't remember why they're attacking you."

<DanteE> "Wait...

<Theresa> "That..is a very appropriate analogy, sir."

<DanteE> "If there's a conduit to the other side's memories we may be able to answer that now."

<Theresa> (Hmm..maybe we can give the Excrucians Ftisk as a bribe for coming to the meeting.)

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "A conduit?"

<DanteE> "You and Kudzu both momentarily 'connected'...

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "I do not know what established that conduit, nor what it was that it connected me to."

<DanteE> to the others: "That's the key. We need to find out what caused the connection.

<DanteE> "At the very least it may have been a weakness in the Wall we need to address.

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "Also, why. And what it actually did. I do know that on that day, there were multiple attacks by full Warmains. I do not, however, know whether the gates were more permeable that day, or if something drove them to attack with more than usual force."

<Theresa> "Terms. Why Breach Day. What did it do, to them and to us."

<DanteE> "Could you send us details of the attacks?"

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "That, I could have my servants do. I understand you were present at the attack on Locus Jaris, so, the other two?"

<Theresa> "Yes, please."

<DanteE> to T: "Maybe I've been in college for too long, but looking at this in terms of a research project is more... comforting."

<DanteE> to William: "How is Jaris, anyway?"

<Theresa> (And of course we are leaving it until the last minute.)

<Theresa> "Thank you, sir, for visiting us. I hope that your work goes smoothly."

<Theresa> (Never keep the grumpy Imperator on the line more than you have to.)

<Random_Nerd> William: "I understand that she has healed from the wounds suffered in that battle, and that the chancel has been largely repaired."

<DanteE> (Did her fishmen ever go back?)

<Theresa> (The ones Kite didn't drool over?  :) )

<Random_Nerd> (Except a few who wanted to stay.)

<Kite> (Kite still wants to eat at least one.)

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "Don't screw this up. As before, you may use my name or reputation to accomplish goals. If I agree with your actions, I will retroactively have authorize them. If I do not, then I will be more shocked than anyone that you dare to speak on my behalf."

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "Same arrangement as before."

<DanteE> ("Don't screw up"? Does he know we're PCs? :p )

<Theresa> "Indeed, sir. And besides, if we screw this up, we will probably be thrown outside by our own Imperators."

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "Naturally. Welcome to the exciting and fulfilling work of protecting Creation. Try not to die until we've already gotten enough effort out of you."

<Theresa> "And if needed, you'll raise us from the dead and keep us at it some more."

<DanteE> "Well, Ananda has already promised me that I'll see the new Age..."

<Random_Nerd> Heart: "And if that's all, I will depart. I'm not halfway done with this heart yet."

<Theresa> "Dante, you might see it when you take a backward glance back at creation when we hit the Wall."

<Theresa> (Heh. Maybe us getting thrown would start the new Age.  :) )

<DanteE> (Anything in there growing, pulsing, attempting a coup?"

<Random_Nerd> William: "Not yet. They may still be preparing it."

<DanteE> "Give them a few minutes, Theresa! Sheesh! :) "

<Theresa> "Well, we can at least invoke HQB's name at the meeting. That's something."

<DanteE> "We could check out Chancel Jaris, as a start."

<Random_Nerd> (And you'll get the details from HQB's people next session. I only know the one at Locus Jaris in any detail right now.)

<Theresa> "I still have to make out my will before the meeting, Dante." *smile*

<Kite> "I want to check out Chancel Jaris!"

<Theresa> "Hmm. I hope that Jaris doesn't hold too big of a grudge against warmains."

<Theresa> "We might have to make sure that everyone stays on their own sides during the meeting or clean the ichor off of the walls."

<Random_Nerd> Sam: "I... have no response for that."

<DanteE> "And the reappearance of, let's see, Active Writing, uh...

<Random_Nerd> (Oh, and the attack on Locus Jaris was Session 103, if you want to reread it in the meantime.)

<Theresa> (Weapons that take on certain qualities, I think it was.)

<Random_Nerd> (And it wasn't specifically weapons, but things that had killed people.)

<Random_Nerd> And about the same time he does so, another report appears on the desk. Well, carved into its surface, really It's pretty brief, though. "Marie, Power of Physics, attacked and killed by the Warmain Dacius. The Angel Gamaliel attacked by an unknown Warmain Tempered with the form of the previous Power of Patterns."

<Theresa> "Do we have an identity of the warmain that attacked Jaris or were they killed?"

<Random_Nerd> (Wait, hold on, timeline...)

<Random_Nerd> (Aaargh, the first one of those doesn't work.)

<Random_Nerd> (Forgot that you had met Physics then.)

<Theresa> (Whoa, there was a previous Patterns?)

<DanteE> (Wait, Marie's dead?)

<Random_Nerd> (Marie wasn't the one you met.)

<Theresa> (No, Marie was Physics 0, then Physics 1 was the one who liked to dress up as Entropy and Physics 3 is Tardis-girl.)

<Random_Nerd> (Sorry, I hadn't worked out the details of the other attacks before, and I forgot when you guys met Physics. But you're right, the one you met was already Physics at this point.)

<Random_Nerd> (It was another high-priority target then. Space, let's say.)

<DanteE> (It is about session-end time)

<DanteE> (We could stop here, give you two weeks to pull details out of your ass. :p )

<Random_Nerd> (The Physics before the one you guys met /was/ killed by a Warmain. But it can't have happened on that particular day.)

<Theresa> (Nah, he pulls them out of somewhere else.)

<Random_Nerd> Patterns' boss lived, by the way, just like Jaris did.

<Knockwood> so, who were the casualties?

<Random_Nerd> A lot of fish-people.

<Random_Nerd> One Noble that can't be Physics, because the timeline doesn't work for that.

<Random_Nerd> And then there were various non-full Warmains doing weird and mostly non-lethal things.

<BethE> Man, it was just an attack. Darn. Then again, Patterns needs to kill the guy himself.
