<Random_Nerd> First half of my day revolved almost entirely about trying to get people on the phone.

<Angelo> Hi guys!

<BethE> Hi Angelo!

<lazarus> hey Angelo

<Knockwood> Hiya Angelo

<Angelo> eh? RN?

<Knockwood> so, what are we doing?

<Random_Nerd> I don't know.

<Angelo> to RN: did you get a job?

<Random_Nerd> It seems that most of us are sick or just worn out.

<Random_Nerd> I'm doing law stuff.

<Random_Nerd> Have been for a while.

<Random_Nerd> Divorces.

<Random_Nerd> Yay.

<BethE> He's doing pro-bono law stuff for people who can't afford it and need help.

<Angelo> Ah! Really altruistic!

<Random_Nerd> And it turns out that "can't afford a lawyer" correlates pretty nicely with "can't afford phone service that doesn't get cut off half the time." So, lots of trying to get in touch with people.

<Knockwood> You're required to do some, right?

<Random_Nerd> Eh...

<Random_Nerd> Not /required/

<Random_Nerd> But kinda expected to.

<Angelo> BTW I feel too worn out

<Random_Nerd> But in a social convention way more than a legally binding way.

<Random_Nerd> Lot of that going around.

<Knockwood> I think we're heading for either a blah session or a washout...

<Random_Nerd> Is this winter as bad over there as it is over here?

<Random_Nerd> Yeah.

<Knockwood> We've had temps in the 40s and 50s and little or no precip here in the west

<BethE> *moose death glare toward Knock!*

<lazarus> it’s got warm. -20C

<Angelo> here winter is gentle enough, no snow or bad temps (-2°C - +6°C yesterday for example)

<Knockwood> it's about 8C here

<lazarus> (we've been going between -30 and -40 C for the past ... three weeks?)

<BethE> We had about 9 inches of snow Sat/Sun with temps in the -15F with windchills worse. It's warmed up enough to snow again.

<Knockwood> where are you Laz?

<BethE> (Bah, I only use degrees C at work!  :P )

<Angelo> Ah, Beth, how do you feel?

<lazarus> Ottawa.

<Knockwood> (Hell, I use degrees K)

<lazarus> It's been quite cold.

<lazarus> Mostly windchill, but that's worse, really.

<lazarus> (varying between -15C with windchill -30 and -25C with windchill -40. Except weekends when I don't have to walk to work, when it's jumped up to +5. Which is weird.)

<BethE> Angelo - I'm doing better, thank you.  :) I think I gave my stuff to RN, though. And I've been back to work yesterday and today, although today really wore me out.

<Knockwood> How about: we use this session to do meta-discussion about where we want the games to go, and start fresh next week?

<Random_Nerd> That works for me.

<Knockwood> Being the first session of the new year it would seem appropriate.

<Angelo> Yeah! New year Nobilis Resolutions!

<lazarus> "I resolve to keep my resolution."

<Knockwood> BTW, what's the latest on an official release for Chuubo/Glass?

<Angelo> I'll start :-) I wanna that Ftisk does a flower rite and don't get caught! :-D ^_^

<Knockwood> what kind of flower rite? More to the point, Ftisk or Conrad?

<Angelo> Conrad, sorry, against a Noble, removing forever his estate et all

<BethE> Theresa resolves to take at least one day a month zoning out in the glade.

<Angelo> Also, that is a struggle for control on Ftisk body?

<Knockwood> Dante is going to try to lead... something. Something important. Before Entropy eats my brain.

<BethE> Why would Entropy eat your brain?

<Verithe> Brains of the Nobles of the Estate of Courage are a delicacy.

<Angelo> uhm.. brainz!

<Random_Nerd> On a dare.

<Random_Nerd> From Ftisk.

<Knockwood> Pretty much...

<Verithe> Oh god, that would be a thing both of them would do.

<Angelo> I'll team with Lord E. to eat brainz!

<Knockwood> Been reading the logs. Don't forget Dante, Kite and Brian were in the room when Entropy dropped his big reveal...

<Knockwood> and Brian got a pass since he tried to kill him. :)

<Angelo> lucky one!

<Verithe> Kite has been trying to get rid of being corrupted of that. He didn't want to know that badly.

<Knockwood> Turns out, I'm the one that really prompted it...

<BethE> And Theresa is safe because she teleported Ftisk out...for various safety reasons.

<Angelo> nod nod

<Knockwood> technically... shouldn't that teleport have not worked, because reasons?

<Random_Nerd> Which reasons?

<Random_Nerd> I think Ftisk allowed it.

<Knockwood> OK.

<lazarus> I'd like to actually bring the rebellion thing more into the fore, but I'm not really sure how. Timing-wise, I was waiting to push on that after the meeting. And I was /hoping/ that it could tie into the turn of the age, but I'm not sure how that fits in with RN's plans.

<Angelo> Because Ftisk + Lord E. in the same place = bad! (in T. mind)

<Knockwood> so, short-term, we're trying to figure out what happened on Breach Day.

<Random_Nerd> Didn't you do that last session?

<Random_Nerd> Well, what do you mean by "what happened"?

<Knockwood> we _started_ that.

<Random_Nerd> You haven't worked out the why, at least.

<BethE> Ftisk and Entropy in the same place has rarely ever been good.

<Angelo> yep! We figured out and Dante get a revelation in a prj

<Knockwood> actually not what as much as why

<Knockwood> and then there's the summit...

<Angelo> Is coming too soooooooooooooonnnnnnn!

<Knockwood> which is the big thing: they're going to ask us what the heck Shirk is doing with Entropy. What do we tell them?

<lazarus> the truth.

<lazarus> Shirk is corrupting Entropy.

<lazarus> sort of?

<Knockwood> They'll take him back and start the war.

<Angelo> nope, E. is corrupting Shirk that thing is corrupting E.

<Knockwood> They may be a different 'party' but they're still Excrucians.

<BethE> What if they don't want Shirk back?

<lazarus> kwd: start what war? The war that's currently happening because it's the backdrop?

<Knockwood> the game-changing thing that'll mark the Age end.

<Random_Nerd> Well, are you worried about being asked what Shirk is doing with Entropy, or what Entropy is doing with Shirk?

<Knockwood> since they'll be asking they'll be asking about Shirk.

<BethE> Dunno. If Entropy was my enemy, I'd want to know what he was doing at multiple times.

<Angelo> nod at Beth

<BethE> (Although if Theresa pulled out pictures of Entropy on a beach somewhere, sipping fruity drinks out of a pineapple, I don't think the Excrucians would buy it.)

<Angelo> BUT! He too have down time were he relax, right?

<Knockwood> The big question is: "OK, what do we _do_?"

<Random_Nerd> Maybe tormenting player characters is /how/ he relaxes.

<Random_Nerd> Probably.

<Random_Nerd> Definitely.

<Random_Nerd> It totally is.

<BethE> You know it.

<Random_Nerd> But what do you want to do about his Shirk plan?

<BethE> We know what the changes in Breach Day did to Warmain folks. We don't know why it happened, but we can talk to the Excrucians about what was happening for them..crud, they don't have time there.

<lazarus> it's been some time - can you remind what happened to the Warmain types?

<BethE> We have a choice to tell them the truth or a lie. And then they have to believe us or not believe us.

<BethE> They acted more like the people that they Tempered than 'themselves'.

<lazarus> oh right

<Knockwood> Gaius was a warmain, right?

<Verithe> Given we have Dante with us, the truth is typically always going to happen.

<Verithe> As much as Kite loves to lie.

<BethE> Used to be. Was a Warmain that Tempered a Dionyl.

<Angelo> right-o an amalgam between domination and warmain

<Random_Nerd> That's one of the theories.

<Random_Nerd> He is some combination of a Warmain and a Domination.

<Knockwood> also the guy that attacked Jaris and the guy on our moon?

<Random_Nerd> Full Warmain and warmain-shard.

<Random_Nerd> Those ones you've confirmed.

<Knockwood> What else happened that day?

<Random_Nerd> Warmains had weird flashbacks.

<BethE> The guy that attacked Jaris did it because the guy that he Tempered had had a huge hard-on for attacking Jaris.

<Random_Nerd> Err, Wildlords.

<Random_Nerd> And High Summoning got stronger.

<Angelo> Wildlords had weird flashback too

<Angelo> ^as RN said

<Knockwood> that's also the day that moon-guy came through, right?

<Knockwood> anything strange happen with Strategists or Deceivers?

<Random_Nerd> Not that you've been able to tell.

<Angelo> eh, we don't know really.

<Knockwood> IIRC, the Aides said there was no known Mimic activity, right?

<Angelo> Also RN said we already meet a mimic, right RN?

<BethE> No Mimic activity from people suspected of being mimics, but if they're Mimics, how can you tell?

<Random_Nerd> It's really hard to tell if there's Mimic activity.

<Random_Nerd> Sam thought there was a connection there.

<Random_Nerd> William disagreed.

<lazarus> perhaps Mimic is a form of tempering and so they turn into themselves

<Knockwood> that... makes sense

<BethE> Who is the themselves they're turning into, because they would have to be proOutside?

<Knockwood> There's a potential avenue for investigation: "William, Sam, tell us everything that happened that day."

<BethE> It would take forever, because that encompasses _everything_.

<lazarus> and, besides, we already sent them fact-hunting, didn't we?

<BethE> People were born, people died, bacteria empires rose, fell and mutated, Ftisk had a corn dog!

<Angelo> eh?

<BethE> (Actually, I don't remember if Ftisk had a corn dog that day, but if he had, it would have been memorable.)

<Angelo> I really forget a corn dog? ;_;

<Verithe> A few billion people pottied.

<BethE> No, you didn't.  :) I was being over dramatic.

<Knockwood> yes, but how much of that would the Aides be paying attention to?

<BethE> But Ftisk should have a corn dog before we have the meeting. In case we die.

<Angelo> nah, Ftisk is already happy with his spiderJack

<BethE> It's not a matter of what they're paying attention to, I think, it's a matter of what information they could access.

<Random_Nerd> If brute forcing the issue would solve it, the Aides would have told you the answer ages ago.

<Verithe> Woo!

<Knockwood> we do have the Stone "The Aides are with us"

<Random_Nerd> Yeah...

<Random_Nerd> ...but that still doesn't let them know more than they know.

<BethE> (Corn dog - http://sidedish. dmagazine. com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/eating-a-corn-dog-2.jpg )

<Knockwood> aw, crap. You know who would...

<BethE> Jan Ben Jan, who we drove insane?

<Verithe> Ginger the dog?

<BethE> Entropy, who has corrupted some of us?

<Random_Nerd> James!

<Verithe> oh

<Knockwood> the Cammorrae. (Maybe)

<BethE> Barakiel, who is frigging nuts?

<Random_Nerd> Patterns, who is frigging nuts?

<Angelo> James!

<lazarus> Kwd, we are not dealing with the Cammorrae

<lazarus> and I think the Cleave of Botanists is still annoyed at T. For existing.

<Random_Nerd> Why would the Camorra know?

<Angelo> (brb -> chocolate hunting)

<BethE> Poor Cleave. The Age is going to turn and they're still not going to get a chance to turn their nose up at me.

<Knockwood> they have their fingers in every pie, and are aides to more Nobles than the Aides.

<BethE> (Would it be possible for James to have become an Excrucian but Kudzu still keep Urbanization?)

<BethE> They're also as corrupt as hell (pardon the pun) and will have us pay through the nose for any info, even info we can't trust.

<Angelo> (would be cool! More (ex)PC excrucians!)

<Knockwood> OK, who else can we ask?

<Angelo> Luc?

<Knockwood> would he know more than the Aides?

<BethE> Didn't we already ask Luc? And isn't he coming to the meeting?

<Angelo> I believe the only human at the meeting is king J.

<Knockwood> we did let him know (without actually telling him) E's plan...

<Verithe> Do we know who was on duty at the Wall when the breech happened?

<Random_Nerd> Luc is helping you manage people.

<Random_Nerd> But I don't think he's said he's personally coming.

<Random_Nerd> You do not, Verithe.

<Angelo> That would be interesting to know Verithe.

<Verithe> We could try to find that out and check with that entity for any new information.

<Angelo> nod nod

<Knockwood> that would also be a good candidate for a Mimic.

<Verithe> We don't have a pet Mimic yet.

<Angelo> just /one/ entity? are at duty on the wall more than one imp?

<Random_Nerd> That you know of.

<BethE> Actually, I like V's idea of checking with whomever was on Wall duty.

<Verithe> True....

<Random_Nerd> Kudzu? Mimic. James? Mimic. Lesson? Mimic. Red? Seventeen mimics in a giant tree suit.

<Knockwood> There can't be just one on duty, that makes it way too vulnerable to a Mimic or any other problem.

<lazarus> Brian? Mimic. Theresa? Mimic. Amyra? Mimic. Egypt? Mimic in a mimic-suit.

<Knockwood> Egypt?

<Angelo> (does anyone of you is xx@yy.zz? he ask to join my chat contact list...)

<Random_Nerd> Egypt has successfully erased itself from your memories.

<Random_Nerd> All according to plan.

<Random_Nerd> I have no clue who that is.

<lazarus> you wouldn't suspect Egypt.

<BethE> There's a thought. Can a Noble become a Mimic shard or are they the only ones that don't have Shards, they have Nobles?

<BethE> (Angelo - doesn't look familiar.)

<Verithe> I don't know of that person, Angelo.

<Random_Nerd> Deep-cover mimics have nobles, yes.

<Knockwood> it's not me

<Angelo> (ok, hat request will go in the trash bin then :-) )

<BethE> Just thinking about whether James could be a Mimic-shard but Urbanization still exist.)

<Random_Nerd> Mimics /could/ have shards.

<Random_Nerd> You've even seen some evidence that Imperators can, if they want to.

<Random_Nerd> It just doesn't come as naturally.

<Random_Nerd> (Which, yes, means that whatever it takes to do that is more trouble than a hundred nights of murder.)

<Knockwood> (on this side)

<Angelo> making shard is "simply" another way of making subordinated

<Verithe> And what's-her-face went to the trouble!

<Random_Nerd> So, the plan is next session to find out which Imperators were involved in guarding the Wall when Breach Day happened?

<Verithe> Yes

<BethE> Sounds good.

<Knockwood> and check with the Aides to see if there are any other events we've overlooked

<Random_Nerd> Mind if we call it a night here, and make next week be Amyra?

<Angelo> and to make plan against? dogs? wolves? foxes? *look at Kite for help*

<lazarus> sounds good RN

<Verithe> Foxes

<Verithe> Kite hates foxes.

<Angelo> yes, foxes

<Knockwood> well, any notes on the Glass game?

<Verithe> But he still doesn't think Ftisk should excruciate them.

<Angelo> Details!

<Angelo> also if is not foxes I'm open to other names

<BethE> Kite's just jealous because the foxes didn't put him in their video.

<Verithe> Kite thinks foxes eat too many birds.

<BethE> I think in Glass, we are looking at getting rid of Simon and Jasper's brother stepped into the picture.

<lazarus> good night folks

<BethE> Night, laz!

<Angelo> night laz!

<Knockwood> g'night Laz

|<-- lazarus has left irc.magicstar.net (Disintegrated: lazarus)

<Knockwood> and then there's the ongoing thing with Viktoria

<Knockwood> everyone's OK with training her to fight in her dreams?

<BethE> I think Rinley's fine with that.

<Verithe> Sounds reasonable to Hisui as well.

<Knockwood> Dulc is all over it.

<Knockwood> BTW, any plans to revive the last CHuubo game, the one that ended with the big zeppelin battle? :)

<Random_Nerd> Don't think so.

<Random_Nerd> Two Nobilis games is enough for me.

<BethE> Dunno, but it could make a nice Actual Play, nearly one-shot.

<Angelo> I'll be ok with a BIIIG closure one/two session night

<Random_Nerd> That could work, I suppose.

<Random_Nerd> Is that something you guys would want to do?

<Knockwood> Then again, we're supposed to be playtesting the game

<Angelo> well YOU are playtesting GMD!

<Random_Nerd> We're not really playtesting right now so much as just playing the game.

<BethE> I wouldn't mind doing a big closing session or two of the Zeppi Crusaders episode, especially if we're at a point that seems blah in the other Chuubo game.

<Random_Nerd> There isn't so much of a formal playtest for Glass.

<Angelo> Ah, I did not know, well, that mean Glass is in pretty good shape then.

<BethE> It seems to be doing well, just slow in getting out.

<Random_Nerd> If we do return to the other Chuubo game for one last send-off, what loose ends would you guys want to address?

<BethE> Lili needs to expose herself to Chuubo! Uh..not like that, that she's herself and the Machine.

<Knockwood> The Big Leo/Senko Snark-Off for ALL THE MARBLES! :D

<Angelo> really just the large battle in the sky kingdom would suffice

<Random_Nerd> ...didn't you do that?

<BethE> We did do a giant battle in the sky. Lilimund fought while on a magical war-unicorn. (It wasn't her's.)

<Verithe> It never ended

<Knockwood> well, we did stitch up the rift...

<BethE> We stitched up the rift and finished the fight but we hadn't been..lauded and celebrated by the sky people or such. Or berated for property damage.

<Knockwood> at what point can we put Chuubo logs up on the Wiki?

<Random_Nerd> Hmm.

<Random_Nerd> You know, I'd have to check the NDA.

<Random_Nerd> It might not be until the official release.

<Angelo> The first campaign had Jenna ask expressly to put log in the eos site

<Random_Nerd> True, but with redaction of rules talk.

<Knockwood> the EOS fora seem to be down.

<Angelo> right RN, but as actual play were still good

<BethE> (Aww! An adorable Principle Entropy in 'casual wear'. https://31. media. tumblr. com/d61231042787525e2c9114cc5876e6ad/tumblr_myjuqcnDN41qd5edco1_500.jpg )

<Random_Nerd> Angelo is correct.

<Angelo> well I go to bed, see you in a week. :-)

<BethE> Night, Angelo!

<BethE> I think I'll head out too. Night, all!

<Knockwood> Does that mean we could post the logs on the RPG.net Wiki if the rules stuff is edited out?

<Verithe> Night, Angelo!

<Knockwood> g'night Angelo

<Verithe> Night, Beth!

<BethE> Probably. Just need to be thorough.

<Knockwood> g'night Beth.

<Knockwood> I guess we're winding down. Amyra next week, assuming everyone feels better?

<Verithe> Nodnod

<BethE> Looks like it.

<Random_Nerd> Yah.

<Knockwood> well... see you in a week then

<Random_Nerd> Okay.

<BethE> Knock - hold off on the wiki until RN checks out the NDA again.

<BethE> We don't want to get Jenna in trouble.

<Knockwood> OK. Let me know.

<BethE> Good night!
