"this is a place Shadow is not welcome" --Walden (aka. Shadowwall)

Hidden in the immense height of the branches of this Power Nexus is...

The tree and home known as "ShadowWall" measures at 389.1 feet in height, with a diameter of 42 feet thick trunk, a volume of 73,350 cubic feet. In high elven tounge the tree is called "Vardrial" meaning Servant of the Wood or Elfkin Wood depending on the translation.

An unrelated species of tree to Caradul's Maudrial (homewood) trees, the Drialnsil - more commonly known as the Goldwoods, are anormous evergreens, long-lived, monoecious tree living for up to 2,000 years, commonly considered the tallest non-elven-magic-coaxed trees in the world, reaching upwards of 350 ft in height and 25 ft diameter at the base. Trees over 200 feet are common, and many are over 300 feet. They are thought to be named after the Carunsil Elven leader. Dawn Goldwood crowns are conical, with horizontal to slightly drooping branches. The bark is very thick, up to 15 in, and quite soft, fibrous with a bright golden-ember when freshly exposed, weathering darker. The root system is composed of shallow, wide-spreading lateral roots. The leaves are variable, being 5-8 in. long and flat on young trees and shaded shoots in the lower crown of old trees, and scale-like, 2-3 in. long on shoots in full sun in the upper crown of older trees; there is a full range of transition between the two extremes. They are dark green above, and with two blue-white stomatal bands below. Leaf arrangement is spiral, but the larger shade leaves are twisted at the base to lie in a flat plane for maximum light capture. The seed cones are ovoid, 1-2 in.m long, with 15-25 spirally arranged scales; each cone scale bears 3-7 seeds, each seed .25 in. long and broad, with two wings.

The nexus does not reveal itself casually, but it has been known to reach out to pathwalkers as if ready to aid a collegue in need. It's power resides within the treetops themselves, a plan of pure force that cannot be despelled by the mightiest of magics, and which is completely invisible to those looking to it from the surrounding floor or sky. In order to detect this nexus, one must negotiate the lofty treetops within. ONce discovered, however, the place is a wonder to behold. The nexus appears to be a plane of multicolored energy that pulses in a pattern vaguely resmbling a spider's web.

Many mysteries of how to tap this, on of Eredane's last remaining power holds, is at yet unknown...
