From Princess Anastasia: "Most royals of the Houses of Regor gain a guardian beast. Mine came to me when i was 3 hours old. A good sign since few come earlier the 3 years. My nanny would lay me to sleep on his fur and he would cuddle me. When i was little my favorite food was pickles. So he would sneak off and steal them for me from the larder. They tried to stop him but whats a maid to do about that. In time they started calling him Pickles. Eventually he wouldn't respond to anything else. Isn't he wonderful?"

From Duchess Alasa:" Hark would have made a fine grocer or gardener or assistant cook if he hadn't been born a noble. His main interests are food and heraldry. 6th son of the noble house of Tandine. Born in wedlock though his parents can't remember why. Trained as a page under Dame Lauris Aka ala Tandine, and a squire to Sir Justin Aka Ala Tandine. Created a Knight Errant in the hopes that a few tough scrapes would make him suitable to join the College of Heralds Militant. When this occasion arose I took it upon myself to offer him the position. What could toughen him up more then my class?"

From Duchess Alasa:Barnaby du Hontorus is a member of the Hontorius Concern on Calrabon. That's a mercantile company that runs the Calro-Esdat Tower. While the Calro have no royalty they have ruling magnets or oligarchs that run massive activities on the planet. The Calro are also a very loyal people to Amber so many of the intelligentsia of Calrobon attend Fantalin. Its practically required. Some apply for the Royal Rights course. Considering the influence of the Hontorius Concern, Journeyman Barnaby here is in line for promotion into the family business or maybe into government service. Some suggest he might somedays serve as Ambassador to Amber from Calrobon.
Barnaby adds: An ambassadorship is decades away, maybe even a century away. Now I am just hoping to return home a Meastar.

From Duchess Alasa:"Born honorably illegitimate, which means his father Baron Kandor Rel, a widower, got him on a chambermaid of his house. He was raised in the House as a lesser son. Page to Sir Kandor, squire to Sir Mart aka ala Festiin. Created a Knight Errant and released from house service. Such knights have no further claim on hte house of their birth and often filter into the List Fields fighting for scrapes till they can find some lord to take them to war. They often become mercenaries. Some join the standing army though there is a stigma attached to them, sadly. Frankis has a fine singing voice and I remembered him well from a feast at his home when he was a young teen. Thelusia gained a Dragon Wyer from the Dragons of Amber and Sir Frankis has spoken of his desire to join the Wyer when he has gained more bearing. When this opportunity arose I called him from the Inn of East Lists in order to keep him from growing in bad company of the Lists crowds."
