About the Character[edit]

Lin is a descendant of the once-famous Hu-era thief prince Silver Fox Wen - and they are both philosophical ancestors to the legendary Thrice-handsome Fox Prince! Further complicating Lin´s heritage is the fact that her mother was a Huli Jing, a fox spirit. Liberating people from stuff like personal property, honor and life is part and parcel of the fox-spirits´ personalities - but Lin is focusing her aptitudes to recreate the glory of her physical and ideological ancestors!

She is a thief, and a damn good one - the masked Silver Fox has already gained notoriety! She robs the rich, and she gives to the poor, all to create a better world. She doesn´t really keep anything for herself, preferring instead to supply orphanages, schools and other philantropist setups with unexpected gifts. Of course, this also keeps her poor as hell.

The only thing that she has left from her mother (who abandoned her as a baby) is a fox mask. Well, this is partially true; the fox mask was actually placed inside a locked display case, in a locked vault, inside a secure mansion - but the dreams told her that it was her legacy, so she nicked it and kept it.

Appearance[edit]

Lin is an extremely slender (some would say rail-thin) girl with a pixie-ish build; she is a little torn on the issue of being seventeen years old and still not in need of a bra, but she manages. She is rather pretty in a crooked kind of way, with an odd smile and slanted eyes - she even *looks* a little fox-ish, which is hardly surprising when you think about it (although people tends to overlook this for reasons of genre). Her hair is coppery red in color, but fades over to white at the tips. It sort of came naturally to Lin to arrange it in two pony-tails, for some reason.

Background[edit]

Lin´s mother didn´t (or couldn´t) take care of her for some reason - she was dumped outside a children´s orphanage and grew up without parents - when she was old enough to do so, she ran away from the orphanage and took to the streets. A somewhat-maybe-truthful account for this can be foudn in Zaijian Baby Chapter 1 (part deux) post #47 [[1]].

Kung Fu[edit]

Highly defensive, Lin has mastered techniques both from the Cloud Mastery and Drunken Monkey styles. She sniffs at Walking in Shadows, mostly because her own signature style does that job for her. Silver Fox Lin´s Signature Style can be found here.

Since she met up with her mentor, the August Vagabond, she has started to train herself in the exotic King Of Vagabonds Style, adding immensly to her offense. Still, she does prefer flight to fight, most times of the day!

Personal Life[edit]

Lin works at the noodle shop Yellow Emperor Noodles, where she serves as a takeaway noodle courier (running across rooftops to make her deliveries!), lives in a cupboard-sized room upstairs and pines for the sweet assistant, a beautiful girl named Ching. Unfortunately, Ching only has eyes for the noodle cook and shop owner Iron Brow Ren, a man who approaches his craft with the heart of an artist and the burning pathos of a warrior - to him, cooking noodles is everything! Consequently, Lin pines for Ching, Ching pines for Ren, and Ren only thinks of perfecting his craft and cooking the perfect noodles!

ZHB update: At the end of ZB, Yellow Emperor Noodles was wrecked by enemies of the Silver Fox, and rebuild was hard due to the harsh times. As such, Iron Brow Ren and his crew now manages the food court of Black Crane High.

Romance[edit]

There´s the little matter of Ching right now. The problem is that Ching is herself in love with Iron Brow Ren. Lately, though, the sweet noodle cook assistant´s heart is divided, as she is not only crushing on Ren, but also the mysteriou sand surely handsome Silver Fox!

Oh, the agony!
