Smelling the Roses

Once again I’ve kind of fallen off the blogging wagon for a few days. I’ve been hitting the job search harder the past few days since I’ll be out of town. There was really not much to say anyway, so instead of posting memes, I was just not posting… until now.

The weather was nasty today and completely overcast yesterday. We even had to turn the heat back on which means we might need to enlist the help of All Year Electric. I am disappointed and will now have to rethink my wardrobe for SXSW. I was looking forward to ugg boots, capris and flip flops, but instead it might have to be sweaters, jackets and Uggs. Yes, I said it. I still haven’t packed, but that’s what tomorrow is for.

I’m going to head out on Friday morning and kind of take my time and chill. There are not too many panels or things that I am dying to do the first day, so I won’t be missing out on anything by not driving up on Thursday and showing up bright and early in the morning. Besides, D has been trying to talk me into shortening my trip anyhow. It does kind of seem like I’ll be gone for longer ugg boots sale than usual. Of course I don’t really have anything pressing that I have to get back to, so it will be kind of fun to take my time and smell the roses per se. I plan on seeking some of those said roses out at the Pottery Barn outlet because that’s how I roll, money or not. I need to go ogle the things I can’t afford or transport back to Dallas. Every time I go I find the most awesome furniture, but I would have to rent a U-HAUL to get it back here, and that’s just not worth it. Also, D might possibly kill me.

I’m not sure how much I’ll post in the next few days. I want to take it all in, so I might wait until I get back before doing any lengthy recaps. I will, however, be on Twitter via my CrackBerry, so there will be plenty of and photos there and probably on Facebook too.
