Sparkler

She grew up in Central America, but was soon married and with her dowry her and her husband made their way to America and a better life.

They had very little training in the world of business and spoke no English, they decided to set up a fireworks stand in the Spanish speaking part of town.

They slowly learned more and more English as they were exposed to American culture. They made just enough money to put food on the table with the various holidays in both American and Spanish cultures.

Their stand was doing so well that they were offered a job at the factory that made the fireworks, the pay was much more steady and they found the American dream was getting closer and closer.

Then came the explosion. The factory had complete insurance, so the owners would not lose a cent, but the workers were a different subject. Her and her husband were caught in the blast along with the rest of the workers. She was the only survivor.

Her body had taken on the properties of the explosives. She changed her name to Sparkler and set about making sure that the owners of the factory pay for their greed. Her retribution, though understandable, was not looked at nicely by the police. As a wanted criminal she found that she had little choice but live the life that she was dealt.
