Suralyom
Suralyom Game System is a new free game system for RPG, Strategy and TCG-like games released under a ’’Creative Commons’’ license. The development team released on July 7th 2007 an early stage of the rulebook called Alpha version . Their goal is to have a first edition (Zero version) of the rulebook ready (prooftested) by end of the year. A fantasy world was released together with the game system and is called World of Suralyom .
The Suralyom Game System will be a flexible, simple and universal set of rules for different games not only RPG. The system allows easy actor customization, simple measuring of the success on role playing and combat situations, real (fantasy) life simulation approach.
By the time of the release of our first rulebook "version Zero" we expect that the mechanics allow to play any of this kind of games styles:
- classical Role playing games,
- player vs player (fighting),
- player vs player (magick, TCG-like game),
- team vs team (strategy-like),
- quest oriented games...
One of the good improvements in our system is that you will be able to register for free your character and use it any where on the world!!. If you gain experience you will be able to level up and keep playin your actor!
World of Suralyom is the companion fantasy world. Originally created to provide a extense background for fantasy novel creations, the setting is a huge and complex world, with thousands of different regions and gameplay options. It´s particular diverse, having anything from stone age tribes to post modernempires moved by magick. Some civilizations are on such advanced technology level that their commerce is made by magical portals with outer worlds, using normal ships.
The dev team is currently looking for RPG players that want to start testing and improving the sytem. Official Playtester had the chance to create new NPA´s (npcs) or another features on the setting and will receive full credit on the final release.
Artist and writers cooperations is also welcome. There is a serious option that best works may be included in the final release and the authors be promoted and rewarded.
