He is a priest of Hilme, middle-aged, well-built and extremely charismatic, with an aura of mystery about him. He is the chief priest of Hilme in Nidik, but defers to High Priest Taklong Woodheart of Ockless. Sylvanthi's origin is a mystery. Some think he is a member of a lost clan reputed to dwell in the Wilds. Others say he is Zar reincarnated, and encourage Sylvanthi to unite Zarland under his rule to crush the outlanders on the island.

He has Teaching of 85% and can teach Knowledge (Sun Pantheon) and a variety of spells. He can also train CON.
