Retinue[edit]
In addition to the upkeep cost each year there is an initial fee that represents the time and effort spent finding a suitable person. If found during play this cost is waived.
The size of your retinue is not only a mark of status (You gain Glory for their upkeep after all) but when raiding you get a bonus to the amount of loot you acquire due to each member of the retinue owning you tribute from what they collect. Normally this is approximately 25% of the total cost of their upkeep since better retinue often get better loot for themselves and their master.
Kabalites[edit]
Kabalites are the most common members of retinues. They are the toughs who fill out Sybarite gangs as well as the haughty Trueborn who serve Dracons and other lords.

Wyches[edit]
In addition to their costs Wyches need gifts to keep their attention as well as patronage. Any year in which you do not sponsor a local Arena Event to showcase them increase the chances of them leaving your service by 3 per year missed.

Mercenaries[edit]
The above costs are for people kept on retainer. To simply hire mercenaries for a single raid you pay one half of their yearly upkeep cost and you get no bonus to your loot rolls for a mercenary unit either.
Mercenary Vehicles[edit]
The cost of hiring a vehicle includes the pilots and gunners but not any additional troops. You must pay for them separately.

Fleet[edit]
Any Dark Eldar with any chance of gaining notoriety needs a personal transport. The cost and upkeep of a vehicle does not include the pilots, gunners or weaponry.
