The Knight Watch

The Knight Watch are a gang created by Mr Static with the permission of Dakota Delaray as leader of the Intar-Rim.

Their headquarters, as such, is the Knight´s Tower in Emberville.

"The new alliance with Dakota permits him to claim an old outbuilding and enough material to repair its roof--an old, round silo used for something in the beforetimes, with its shredded roof replaced by convex dish of corrugated iron. It looks half-way between a rocket and a snail, but it serves its purpose more and better: a clean divide with the world beyond, and enough metal in the walls and roof to render it conductive. A spiral staircase moves around the outside, and they are able to sink iron rods into the walls and anchor them on the other side, to provide a resting point for hammocks. It can be nerve-wracking, to sleep tethered several stories up, but they grow used to it. At the base of the tower they arrange chairs and tables, a chest for food and perishables as they are able to spare. Rum puts up a spate of chicken-wire from which to hang armaments.

A dozen have joined them by the time they are willing to call the order fully operational. WE KNIGHTS DONE RIGHT may be painted above the door, along with the blazing star of their order, but it still feels empty until they add the murals inside, dominating in size and enthusiasm with their limited technique. He will never assemble the Panopticonsole, and in truth, does not wish to, but Static knows what his sacrament requires and knows of only one way to instruct. They gather televisions from across Emberville and the near wastes and place them around each other, in the centre of the holdfast, in a great tower. Static has it electricked, at least when that can be spared for a few hours a week, and he holds service in the light of the Gods."

Important NPC:s

Snuffy - the Doubting Thomas of the gang, constantly questioning Static on policy, philosophy and everything else. Still seemingly dedicated.

Knottia - extremely diehard believer who wants to be just like Static. Deathly annoyed and jealous at Rum.
