The Slug

The dig was going well, he had found the secret chamber and was just now entering the burial chamber. There was a open golden box next to the sarcophagus and in the open box sat a brilliant green gem.

"Take hold of the gem, it will make all your dreams come true" The voice was inside his head, drawing him closer to the gem. He moved over to the gem and picked it up.

"Place the gem to your forehead and your wildest dreams will be made reality" He could not stop himself, the gem was controlling his actions.

The gem made contact with his forehead, his mind was lost forever. His body also changed, into a wormlike slug. The Elder Worm had been awoken.

It was now up to The Slug to make more gems and reawaken more of his race, then the true rulers of the planet will take their rightful place.
