The Warlock’s Will[edit]

The Warlock’s Will is a specialist bookshop positioned in an otherwise unremarkable part of the city between Black Park and the Wyrd. It’s not a busy part of the city and one had to be on guard here as the quieter parts of the city are, as a rule, the ones you’re most likely to experience trouble in. Tucked behind a large warehouse, the Warlock’s Will is an old, crumbling building made of what must originally have been white stone, now a dirty gray. The small shop window displays a few mouldering, dusty tomes that look as if they haven’t been moved or looked at for decades. It’s the kind of shop you had to know is there, all in all.

A strange, clunky bell sounds as you enter the shop. The door itself has a tendency to stick halfway open and must be forced to get it to open all the way. The interior of the shop is dingy, the surrounding buildings not letting much light in. Rickety, towering bookshelves crammed with old scrolls, tomes, scripts, steles, tablets and manuals stand against all four walls of the small shop. A curtained door leads to the store room in the back of the shop and, through a gap in the curtain, more piles of books can be seen lying around haphazardly. Behind a warped wooden counter you can normally find a spectacled, wizened halfling with enormous bushy sideboards sat on a stool, a small lamp casting illumination as he scours the latest book to take his fancy. This is Rundlefund Sticklyback, the owner and proprietor of the shop. He is a genial if distractable halfling who has spent his life time acquiring knowledge of all different kinds. He could be immensely useful in all sorts of different capacities if he wasn’t terrible under pressure and didn’t enjoy sitting around in his shop reading quite so much. Still, if you want to know something, he’s a good man to ask though it will normally cost you.
