The World Tree/Scarlet Eye
Summary[edit]
The Scarlet Eye is a mercenary group based out of Thal, making their first actual appearance within Scene III of the Prologue or Scene II of Act I. Primarily involved with smuggling and burglary operations, Magnus has hired them as an assassin group, hoping to take the party out of play before and after the meeting of the Thal Council. Within the Prologue, the Scarlet Eye attempts to rob the players in the for of a toll before arriving at Thal, only to attempt an assassination after using their toll collecting scheme.

The Scarlet Eye believes in the following tenets.
- Killing after their humiliation is worth more than the gold they possessed.
- Always leave the mark of the eye, to show the world they are watching.
- Profit for your brethren, only taking your rightful percent.
- Death before betrayal.
