Skullgirl[edit]

aka Drea Simmons

Look[edit]

Woman, multiracial, boring clothing, iconic costumre, Skull Mask

Abilties[edit]

Bone Generation: The Skullgirl can cause parts (or the entirity of) human skeletons to manifest and move, often leading to gigantic skeletal hand lurching out of the darkness to grab people. They are forces drawn from the Realm of the Judgmental Dead at her call.

Impossible Mobility: Skullgirl travels paths through the Realm of the Judgmental Dead that ordinary mortals simply cannot perceive or use; this resuts in a power that resembles at times flight, teleportation or wall-crawling, but is more limited, since she can only use the paths that exist, and sometimes, there isn't a path to where she wants to go.

Labels[edit]

Danger +1, Freak -1, Savior =0, Superior =0, Mundane +3

Team moves[edit]

When you share a triumphant celebration with someone, ask them if they see you as the person weaing the mask or the person underneath. If the former, mark potential and clear a condition. If the latter, take Influence over them if you reveal yoursel.

When you share a vulnerability or weakness with someone, tell them a secret about who you really are. Give them Influence, and shift your Mundane up, and your Mask's label down.

Janus Moves[edit]

The Mask: Wearing the Mask, swap Mundane and Freak. When you reveal your secret identity to someone wo didn't know, mark potential.

Dangerous Web: When you reveal a trap you've left for someone using your powers, roll +Freak. On a hit, your opponent trips into it, and you get an opening or opportunity. 10+, +1 Forward to pursuing it. On a miss, the trap dangerously escalates the situation.

Mlld-Mannered: When you use your civilian idenity to deceive, trick or slip past someone, roll +Mundane. On a hit, they buy it. 7-9, pick one: You're still under observation, you leave something incriminating behind, you're forced to make a fool of yourself to sell it.

Secret Identity: Job (Bicycle delivery for Use Your Bean Coffee), Schoolwork, Best Friend (Sharon Cho)

Backstory[edit]

When did you first put on the mask? About six months ago. It wasn't entirely voluntary-- she saw a shootout between the police and some criminals, and the mask appeared before her. It was hers to inherit, to accept the power and also the responsiblity, if she would just put it on...

She did.

Why do you keep a secret identity? Because I can't just be this ancient deathly vengeance priestess all the time! I need downtime, I need a life, I need *balance.* And I can't turn my back on those other responsibilities.

Who, outside the team, knows about your masked identity? Sharon. I saved her from a kidnapping; she was so freaked out and scared, I took the mask off to reassure her.

Who thinks the worst of your masked identity? That would be Huntsman, a well-established vigilante who, if you ask me, goes way and the hell too far. The big thing is that he's apparently like two hundred years old, and he wound up butting heads with the Mask like a century ago, and I guess he holds a grudge.

Why do you care about the team? My Drea face has a family. We care for each other. My Skull face... that face doesn't have one. And that needs balance. Besides, if I have people, I don't need to sweat forgetting which face is which, and won't let the Mask get too much of a hold on me.

When Our Team First Came Together: We saved the life of the chief of police, and his family. Right place, right time, but I don't think it was just luck.

Relationships[edit]

Armory knew me from my civilian life first.

You refused to tell Arrowhawk your secret identity when asked.
