Vanar the Blacksmith[edit]

History[edit]

Vanar is the lord of the Elemental Pole of Fire. He uses the flame and molten rock to forge wonderous artifacts. Vanar is the son of Humber. He was formed on the mountain's peaks and later ventured out into Creation, spending his youth in the Central city of Yilgarn.
Vanar's skills grew until he assumed the domain of Craft, and took his place amongst the gods. He took great pride in his unsurpassed skills, and began to look down upon his fellow immortals for their reliance upon the tools he created. In 206AF, Vanar challenged Ibrail the Warlock, then ruler of the southern pole. Vanar defeated Ibrail, killing the patron of Occult with a blow from his hammer.
After founding the southern city of Rakandra, Vanar challenged Yedan for rulership over the Gods. Vanar possessed finer weaponry, but Yedan was the greater warrior - killing Vanar with a golden spear. Vanar's body was cast out into the forsaken wastes of the Fire Pole where he burned to ash. He forged himself anew, as he was not born of flesh, but of rock. Vanar is an outcaste among the gods, but his power is growing.
