Background[edit]

Titus Walikanu hails from a recently discovered Death World Kravis found somewhere in the countless random star systems between the Koronus Expanse and the Ixaid sector. The world's main detriment to human life is the high gravity of it's mass, as well as the fact that life there is composed of more durable materials to deal with the gravity increasing the size and power to unprecedented levels. That also made the likeliness of a fatal allergic reaction from the exotic materials making up the food rather high, and increasing the lethality of any toxins. It's unknown when humans first came, though some of the debris orbiting the world indicates they are survivors of an ancient battle lost in the earliest days of the antiquity. Of the likely millions of souls to land, most of them died to the environment or natural predators, but the few that could handle the toxic food managed to build communities salvaging what they could of the wreckage. For the next few millennia the people managed to forge their own society, adapting to the world through simple endurance, creating new toxins to keep the poisonous plants at bay, and building makeshift fortress towns to keep the wilderness at bay.

About a century ago a Rogue Trader Elias Mishiro found the world, the wrecks in orbit provided little for the enterprising Captain, but when he found primitive vox transmissions from the world his fortunes changed. He found the people of Kravis rather savage, but have managed to rebuild some semblance of a tech base so they would not run in fear from the first person they saw with a lasgun. Seeing a good opportunity the enterprising Rogue Trader set about converting the technobarbarians on the world after finding how devastating one of their massive warriors could be. With missions and 'academies' to learn the way of the Imperium in the off chance that they might be able to land a flight off world. Out of this new system Titus was raised to be a warrior to fight among the stars, showing remarkable aptitude in understanding how the universe at large worked, ensured him a spot on a lighter off world with several dozen other young men and women to fight Mishiro's wars.

For the next few years, Titus fought on various worlds against heretics, aliens, and people that just pissed the captain off. Fighting in the jungles of an untamed world to secure the rights of the Mishiro dynasty to harvest the various plants useful for pharmaceutical means against other Rogue Traders, Titus proved himself one of the smartest of the Kravis warriors and given the position of Warrant Sergeant. There he meet some of the other Xeno races, namely a band of Kroot hired by his master and some ork Freebooterz brought in by his rival, getting to know both species oddities. For his career as a mercenary this was not going to be the last, when his unit was promised to fighting some ancient xeno empire, the Kilwrathi on the edges of the Ixaid sector they fought a desperate battle to defend the worlds. Eventually the Chapter of the Tigers Argent cut down the aliens in a way that was both beautiful and terrifying. Titus was soon enamored with the massive humans, akin to his own condition, but much stronger and respected by the rest of mankind.

After that last campaign was won, the aliens sent flying from the sector, Rogue Trader Mishiro started to search for some other way to make some profit, eventually finding it in the war torn Korunus expanse. There Titus' unit was promised to help control some of the more unruly worlds in Winterscale's realm from rival Captains. While fighting ground side the entire company of Mishiro's mercenaries, or what was left lost all communications which was a signal that their mothership and the masters aboard were killed leaving them stranded. Since he knew how bad this was, Titus managed to take command of the remaining Kravis warriors to get off planet as soon as possible as another surge was coming. Eventually they found a treasure transport loading up with the natural resources the world could offer while the armies tried to deny it from the others, managing to bribe his way home. Unfortunately like everything in the universe, it wasn't as easy as that, since nobody knew where Korvis was it being a secret of the Mishiro dynasty and they were the last remnants of that organization in the Koronus Expanse. So they were unceremoniously dumped on Footfall to find their own way in the universe.
