Trailblazing Intrepid Mystery Explorers/A few things to clarify

  • There really is no interstellar travel, and even the modern and near-futuristic civilizations don't really bother with any form of space travel if they can get what they need some other way. So any concept that would require that element doesn't exist. This in no way precludes: cool flying vehicles, very alien beings, or secret and technologically advanced civilizations.
  • Psychic/psionic powers are a form of magic, not science.
  • The setting assumes a universal energy exists that can account for magical things as well magical-yet-not-magic things. This energy is not related to minds/spirits/living beings exclusively, nor can it be best controlled by them.
  • Morality/codes of behavior do not have objective presences in the universe.
  • Humans exist, but they are not the most anything: common, versatile, adaptable, cosmopolitan, possessing in potential power, survivalists, [insert your "humans are the most X" meme here], etc.
