History

Tsukiyama belongs to a very traditional, very old, very wealthy family. The Imaidegawa clan can trace their history back over 500 years. She is the eldest daughter of the head family, and she feels the weight of tradition, but she bears it with grace. She loves her parents, and her siblings. So she's a good girl. She studies tea ceremony. She studies flower arrangement. Her one minor act of rebellion was to study kendo instead of the more womanly naginata-do. She does well in school. She volunteered to be class representative, as befitting a person born to lead.

She has a lot of superficial acquaintences, and people tend to flock to her due to her wealth, perhaps hoping for a piece. But she doesn't have anyone she would consider a close friend. She's busy, between being class rep, the kendo club, volunteering after school at a local old folks home, help out her family, attending social events. It's just she doesn't have time for friends. That must be it.

So she's happy enough, but, sometimes, she feels a little empty. She'd like to have a girlfriend, but that'll have to wait until university. She's not sure how to tell her parents that, but, she's sure they'll understand. Still, it'd be nice to have someone to walk home with. Well, if she ever walked to school, that is. Maybe she could have her driver wait for her further away.

Personality

Tsukiyama is outwardly sociable, friendly, outgoing, and approachable. But there's a wall behind her smile that few people can get past. She believes strongly in working hard, and not expecting her background to earn her any favors, and in fact finds it a little irritating if people try to treat her differently. She's responsible, and sees it as her responsibility, as a person from a privileged background, to help those less fortunate than herself. She really hates it when other people abuse their power or bully people. Obligations imposed by other people annoy her a little; it's not that she can't bear them, but she dislikes people that try to offload their obligations on to others.

Shadow

Tsukiyama doesn't realize that she's the reason she doesn't have any friends. That she's subsconsciously afraid that anyone that approaches her wants something from her, that they don't care about her, just what she can give them, so she pushes them away with an empty smile. She doesn't realize how lonely she is.

NPCs

School

Liked: NAKANO Ryouko, a girl in her class. Nakano-kun is boyish, tough, loudmouthed, brash, impulsive, and chivalrous with an easy lopsided smile and an infectious laugh. She's a middling student, and occasional member of the soccer team, though she usually only shows up for practice before a game.

Disliked: DOI Ume, another girl in her class. Doi-san is beautiful, already being scouted as a model. She keeps to herself, except for a couple of girls she allows to be her sycophants. She doesn't bully others, but she turns a blind eye to incidents of bullying, when she could easily intervene.

Teacher: TAMURA Yukari, the Japanese Literature teacher. Tamura-sensei is fairly new as a teacher, being only 24 years old, but she has a sweet disposition and easily conveys her love for literature when she teaches. She's unmarried and lives with her roommate, an office lady around her age.
