| Crab Clan |
Brash defenders of the southern wall protecting Rokugan from the shadowlands. Even their courtiers are brash folk and are often looked upon as barbaric compared to the rest of the Rokugani people. |

These samurai strive for perfection in anything they do. They are very political as a clan, and even their bushi know their way around the court setting. |

| Dragon Clan |
Their bushi fight with katana and wakazashi, their shugneja are mystic and hermit-like, and they have the best monks in Rokugan. They like to keep to themselves. |

| Lion Clan |
These samurai also strive for perfection in anything they do, but they generally are perfect on the battlefield. Lion and Crane are both very valued in the court, but Lion tend to lean towards the more martial training. |

| Mantis Clan |
Elevated from a minor clan, these samurai are often out to prove themselves to the rest of Rokugan. Known better as pirates, archers and merchants. The clan is made up of three clans that formed together when the Mantis were elevated. |

| Phoenix Clan |
The best shugenja in all of Rokugan, their bushi are trained to fight in front of the shugenja. The Phoenix are kinda viewed as the premier when it comes to magic, they also have the Counsel of Elemental Masters. |

A clan that has a horrible reputation for being the "bad guy". This is the most loyal clan, make a scorpion friend, you have a friend for life. Don't cross them, or you could receive the tail end of a scorpion's wrath. |

Best known for their tactics while on the back of a horse, the Unicorn are second to the Crab in brashness, often seen as a barbarian compared to the rest of Rokugan. |

| Badger Clan |
Mercenary samurai, their home territory was destroyed once by an Oni and since then has yet to be restored. Now the clan is fractured and wander Rokugan working for the highest bidder. |

The youngest clan, bestowed upon Komori for summoning the spirit of the emperor's sister. Since this clan is so new, most of its members were once of the Mantis. |
