Who Says Dice are Going Down the Tubes?

Dear Friend,

Welcome! I'll get straight to the point. This site is about a Dice Roller - powerful, reliable, necessary. You've made the right choice with the industries leading Dice Roller. Vegeto's Bones has more features all-in-one. The next few pages hold the key to a satisfying, enjoyable gaming experience.

I've tried quite a few products. A few good. Maybe some not so good. But you have to sort through the garbage to find the diamonds. That's part of the learning curve and the price you pay. But, honestly they've all omitted the key details. I discovered all kinds of things I couldn't do. If you've been around much at all, you know me, you know my products, and you know my reputation. So one day, as you can imagine, I said to myself, "I'm going to have to sit down and do this thing myself if I want it done right." It just made sense to me and EVERYTHING CAME TOGETHER! I've refined Vegeto's Bones more and more till it was a brightly shining diamond. Now it's an expansion, an elaboration, and a greatly enhanced and detailed version of my original concept.

Be open and honest with yourself - you'll be unhappy if you invest days, weeks, even months into a gaming system just to find out you can't complete the simplest of tasks with your Dice Roller. If it didn't happen to me, I wouldn't have believed it could happen. Decide now which you'd prefer, a quality gaming experience or great disappointment. Hoping and wishing for a great gaming experience won't make it happen. In fact, nothing will unless you take positive action. Roll with Vegeto's Bones the industries leader that satisfies all your rolling needs.

"What makes this dice roller different is that it's a product unlike any you've used before."

You don't have to be a pro to roll the dice but you do have to have a professional quality Dice Roller that meets all the requirements of the gaming system. Think about the alternative. Let's say you pour your heart and soul into a system that has a few rulebooks well over hundreds of pages long. You read the rule books over and over until you feel you're finally, at long last, ready to play a test session and you can't finish even one round because your Dice Roller didn't meet the bare minimum requirements of the gaming system. Without the professional Dice Roller that meets all the requirements of the system you suffer great disappointment and unhappiness in the school of hard knocks.

You'll be happy you're rolling with Vegeto's Bones. What makes this dice roller different is that it's a product unlike any you've used before. It's not just a clone of some other product. It's a product designed from the ground up based on the requirements. It's a product that does everything that you can do with a notepad, a calculator, and a set of dice. Vegeto's Bones is not something recycled, rehashed, and warmed over.

My quality of game play improved hugely and dramatically the day I completed the dice roller. I really came out with a product that will make your life better!

Sincerely,
Dan Mustaine

What This Project Is For[edit]

Vegeto's Bones is a scaleable dice rolling engine for value added resellers. The main purpose of this project is to provide a space for various community RPG projects that require dice. This includes people communally creating collections of resources for their favorite games. Likely, other networking discussions will come up too.

Value Added Resellers[edit]

Use this Wiki by creating your own projects! They may be multipage projects or singular resources (NPCs, monsters, spells, whatever) for your favorite game system.

The trick with any collection of resources like this is to keep it organized. Keep this in mind when editing your section(s).

The thematic artwork that helps distinguish your dice roller is like the layout of a ship's deck and sets your project apart from the proverbial pack.

A Few Hints on Page Editing[edit]

RPGnetWiki is built on MediaWiki, a simple, dynamic page editing program. It has a lot of simple formatting commands, most of which you'll see available from an editing bar when you edit a page. Please do use these. Here's a few other hints:

  1. Headers. Use headers on your pages. A level one header is marked by an equal (=) sign at the start and end (=Header=), a level two by two signs (==Smaller Header==), etc. If your page is long enough to have at least four headers, the Wiki will helpfully start including a table of contents.
  2. Links. In order for this sort of resource to be useful, pages need to be linked together. You can create links with bracketed text. Links can be either internal to this Wiki or to external pages. Here's an external link [http://www.xmail.net/vegeto/ddice.htm RPG Dice Roller], here's an internal link [[Main Page]].
  3. Freedom. The whole purpose of a Wiki is community design. If you see something that you want to contribute to, you should do so. (And, conversely, if you put something on this site, it should be because you welcome other contributions.)
  4. More Info. Visit the main MediaWiki Site for more info.

Feel free to click the edit tab on any page, just to see what some basic formatting looks like. (This page is locked, to keep all the basic info there, but you can edit most other pages in the Wiki.)
