As dawn creeps over the horizon Vek ponders many things. To himself he says aloud, looking at the sleeping person beside him, "What the royals of Amber forget is that they are Chaosians. Most are only 3 or 4 generations removed from boundless Chaos. "

Amber Bronkhorst

With a groan Alvah starts to slowly wake. Seeing the light come up at the horizon she burries her face against Vek like an animal wanting to nap a bit longer. With a sleepy voice she says "Don't think all forgot. Think some are in denial and some are brought up that way. Many still have war on their mind against Chaos. But how can you justify war on such scale, if you are just as much part of the other side." She makes herself smaller huddling herself up not wanting to wake, but no now Vek woke her with deep thoughts in the morning. "And many for that reason probably refer to CHaos as the end of the road. The end of whatever. Demonize it. While if you look at it in creation like perspective Creation thus the beginning of things often require Chaos. Where as Order is usually quickly followed by entropy" With one eye closed and the other squinted she looks at Vek "Good morning to you to..... "SHe then wraps her arms along her face to hide from the morning sun her face still burrowed against Vek.

"Chaos is at war with Chaos. It's their national pastime." Putting a firm hand in her hair he adds," sorry for Philosophy before coffee.. occupational hazard."

Amber Bronkhorst

Alvah looks slightly up she has a playful grin on her face. "Know what you are calling over yourself. What happened last time when you didn't start with coffee." She lays a soft hand on Vek his cheek.. "But why the thoughts?

"This world was one of my firsts. The first was Bajas. its a sea faring world. I own a wharf. The tavern is the main place but there is a fish cannery, ship repairs, docks for a couple dozen coastal and deep water ships. Lobsters, crabs, shrimp. Bulefish, bass, cod, mackeral mostly. Occasional sharks... But i found it fresh out of Chaos. When the leash on me was long enough to allow me to get outside the Black Zone and the Chaos sway. After that i traveled a lot. fast time shadows to gain maturity and use my powers.. I came here for solitude. But as empty as this place seems, people from downhill have been coming here for centuries. Once i set myself on the plain by the cliff and started clearing i found out that they avoided the cliff. a hundred miles was the closest settlers came her in the center. I picked up a person her, a couple there, a family on the run. ITs a long story. " "Now i have a pattern with an army on one side and a town on the other. Soon there will be roads. Castles, and one day the frigging Jeweled road will show up... Its jsut a sudden change.."

Amber Bronkhorst

Looking into Vek his eyes Alvah listens to his story of this place. She sighs soflty looking down again "Yeah. it is a sudden change and again, i am sorry. I think i'll never stop saying that. " She rolls on her back looking up "I've moved it once, maybe...." She doesn't finish her sentence maybe because she know she didn't move anything the pattern did. It just followed her. "It is a shame of such a beautiful place. But all those changes are they inevitable? Or could we steer some of it. change things? Keep a hand in the things that come here." She looks sideways to Vek again a slight smile on her lips

Michael James Watson

"Inevitable. Maybe. I have always felt this place would grow into something in a few centuries. And if I want the solitude, its just a shadow away. And you can stop saying sorry. Apology accepted. It was the Pattern that chose to come here. It trusted where you might go. Someday I'll ask it why it came here. " "I tried something last night, well before; I can't change some of the physical laws of this place. The time Ratio, nothing. The Pattern over rules me. But people can only get her by trumps and I can narrow that. So i did. Only my trumps work to get here. That should slow interference down. Even Contact trumps won't pierce it. But after i made that change, the pattern locked it in. So it trusted you to pick a good place for it. It trust me to be the gate keeper. I am satisfied with that. Now, as much as i hate to say it, we need to get back. Shall i shift to a Thanta and fly us back?

Amber Bronkhorst

Nodding slowly she decides to drop the subject of the patterns chosing. Hearing of the trumps she smiles "Well that is actually good... right if the pattern locked it in. Means it agrees, and yes it trusts you." Turning fully to Vek she arches a questioning eyebrow "Thanta? what is a thanta? and since i don'tknow i am warry to say yes or no" She then stands up in a flowing motion, stretching her muscles from the stiffness of laying on the ground. "But you are right we should go back. So transportation i'll leave up to you. "

Michael James Watson

Leaping to the air he shifts to a giant grey blue thanta

Alvah her eyes grow wide as she watches Vek shifts into the creature. She then just looks amazed. "Handsome in many forms. " SHe winks at him, then holding Cicero with her she waits for Vek to give her a chance to hop on.

Michael James Watson

Vek swings around and a strong wingtip curls her up onto his back, shoulder ridges clearly working as hand holds. He leaps skyward and soars.

Amber Bronkhorst

Alvah yelps as she is being picked up. She quickly finds the handholds and settles herself firmly on his back. SHe then just sits up straight and let the wind just rush around her face and through her hair enjoying the feeling.

Vek banks and swirls and Alvah feels the massive bird seeming to keep her in place as if the race he is mimicking had been bred like horses to be mounts. Flying over the hills she sees a few homesteads in the deep forests. Most the people outside wave and Vek wiggles his wings to them. Circling back he flies out over the water and She sees the 12,000' cliff leading down to a rocky base. She notices caves every so often. After a leisurely flight he climbs up the side of the cliff to glide over the edge and to the hamlet. Elites unfamiliar with the sight go on guard but the natives are familiar with it. Landing in the village square he shifts the moment he lands.

Amber Bronkhorst

Alvah looks about taking in the view. She can't help but laugh when Vek wiggles his wings to the natives who wave. When he flies up the cliff she presses herself to Vek holding close. When he lands Alvah tries to land as graceful as possible as well since the masssive bird suddenly is gone from under her.
