Capsule: Young socialite Janet Van Dyne became the crimefighter partner of the scientist and superhero Hank Pym when her father was murdered by an alien being. Pym subjected her to genetic treatments that gave her the powers of a human wasp.
Alongside Hank, Janet was a founding member of the Avengers and has become one of their more important members. Originally a ditzy brunette, the Wasp matured into a capable superheroine, eventually serving as team leader for a long stint. Her relationship with Hank has always been rocky, though. They have married, divorced, and presently are reconciled.

Notes: Her powers only work when she shrinks. I considered making it an Alternate Form, but it wouldn't work quite right; her Shrinking is Continuous, but her Flight is Sustained.
The Wasp actually grows stronger when she shrinks. After she has 4 ranks of Shrinking engaged, each additional rank also activates 1 rank of Enhanced Strength.
Janet also has (or used to have) the power to communicate with and control insects. She uses this power very infrequently, though. It's best handled as a Power Stunt that requires the expenditure of Hero Points.
