Background[edit]
Wilberts parents were lucky, though he doesn't remember them that well. But somehow he was picked by a patient gnomish mage called "Hammerli, the dabbler" and during his youth he learned the the arcane arts. His masters byname is a humorous missinterpretation. Hammerli is just has a nerdy side and created all kind of more-or-less valuable magical gear. One day it was time for Wilbert to go on and see the world around himself, but his master knew that Wilbert had a weak point: He isn't that great in handling financial stuff. So he crafted a little Robe that should help Wilbert to not end up without any cash at all. Wilbert traveled around a bit. Sometimes helping out here and there, but nothing mayor (for lvl 15+ standards of mayor and minor). Well he didn't really make money. But a fight here and there that could not be avoided made Wilbert spend some cash on useful stuff. One day a bird brought a message to him. He should return to his old master. Since that day Wilberts live changed a bit. Obviously his master wished him to continue his supportive work for the watch.
