- Born 1918 in Buffalo, New York.
- He attended the University of Chicago from 1934 to 1941. Graduated University of Chicago with a Bachelors is Social Sciences, and a Juris Doctor (JD). He minored in Mathematics and Economics and over the course of his life completed Bachelor's degrees in both.
- In 1941 he entered Army as a Second Lieutenant. Fought in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, & Germany. He left service in 1947 as a Major. He served in the Reserve as a lt, colonel and a colonel.
- He had a law practice from 1947 to 1990. From 1980 on he did some legal work for King Random of Amber. These included reading and revising the Treaty of Patternfall. He did work for other Amberites as well in this time including clearing up the status of Flora's home in West Chester.
- His wife died in 1989. He retired from his practice in 1990.
- In 1990 he interacted with Merlin and because of these interactions he traveled to Amber in the Amber year 5215.
- He soon became a member of the Counsel's Office.

- In 5230 he joined the Court of Amber as a deputy Legal Consultant.
- in 5240 he was promoted to Legal Counsel to Amber. He was granted a fief near Baron Bayles estates.
- In 5243 he opened a clothing business in the Merchant's Quarter of Amber. It featured Earth modern clothes. He acquired stock by taking gold bullion to earth and converting it to a bank account. He then set out buying the stock of a dozen different clothing stored and taking them to Amber. The next year he did this again but also included buying out a dozen book stores. His store in Amber features "Quaint Earth Clothes and Books" . He does good business.
