Super-Metabolism: Brandon's transformation makes his metabolism run in, well, overdrive. He needs lots of calories to keep going, and using his powers too much can cause him to tire out in a fight.
Optimistic: Brandon fundamentally believes that people are good, and that if they're given the opportunity they'll choose to do the right thing. While this makes him a good role model and spokesperson, he can get in trouble with those who take advantage of his optimism.

Background

Brandon Harris was a promising chemistry student on his way to a successful career in the field. But, when his mother finally succumbed to her illness, he put all of that on hold to move home and look after his younger siblings.

Taking a job as a high school chemistry teacher lets him stay connected to his research interests, though, and a friend from college has a job at a local lab. It was while helping out with an experiment after hours that Brandon was exposed to a dangerous new chemical.

It sent every cell of his body into overdrive, making him move and think at super speeds. While he was already doing his part to help out his local community, the transformation inspired Brandon to do even more and apply to Worldwide, so that his outreach could hopefully help the whole world.
