"You sure this is gonna be an easy job?" Those were the last words that he said to his partner before the charge. They had been hired to create a diversion so someone could steal some papers from a lab. He had never been much for words. He was purely a follower, a flunky, not a leader. He let his friends do all of the brainwork.

That was a mistake.

Things went wrong. Perhaps his friend was too curious, wanted to be closer to the action. They entered the warehouse, and became separated in the confusion.

He was an avowed coward. Alone, he had only one thought - hide! He was spotted and a chase started. He ran into an unlocked laboratory. The agents busted in, he hide behind a control bank. Someone spotted him and tossed a grenade in his general direction. The control back exploded, spilling chemicals onto him. He was knocked unconscious, and when he awoke, he wasn't the same anymore. He was a leathery winged monster. He broke free of the prison cell they put him in, shredded a few guards. Later he found his friend , who had found fame and fortune as Ankylosaur. His friend quickly recruited him as his partner, and became known as the monstrous Wyvern. When Ankylosaur received an invitation to join Neutron's team, the Conquerors, Wyvern followed.

The chemicals that transformed him into the Wyvern also destroyed much of his brain, including the part that governs morality. Wyvern is a vicious monster that likes to kill. It is absolutely without mercy. Once unleashed, it will not stop till its prey is defeated .... or dead. Only Ankylosaur or (to a lesser extent) Neutron can stop it once it wants to kill. He his extremely single-minded, fixating on one target alone, ignoring all else. Wyvern is a vicious beast that can't be communicated with (again, with the exceptions of Ankylosaur and Neutron). It is an elemental force of destruction, with wings.

Wyvern is a monster 6'3" tall and 300 lbs. He is naked with large growths of black fur that covers his groin, calves, neck and forearms. His two leathery wings are brown as is his tail. Instead of hands and feet, Wyvern has animal claws, all this and he spits acid as well.
